Amanda Knox and her boyfriend advised Lifetime not to make this movie, especially while they were still in appeal. If you don't believe her, don't like her, or whatever, then don't watch this. Stay off the page. The facts are in, the Italian police made a mistake with evidence. This has been proven. The judical system in any country does not care if you are innocent or gulity, they only care what they can prove. No one knows what really happened. Don't like it, take it up with the government.

I can't think of any reason for wanting to frame two early-20-something-aged school students. Moreover, it would have been impossible to remove all traces of evidence of Amanda and Raffaele while leaving all evidence (including DOZENS of DNA samples of skin hair, etc of Rudy!) of Rudy intact. Mignini framed them. RS & AK are innocent.

If they had no role in the crime, why would they be cleaning up? If they had just arrived and were afraid of all the blood in the bathroom/the apparent break-in, why would she take a shower there? Why didn't they immediately call the cops? Sollecito claimed he called the 112, but it is undetermined when he made the call. Too many things don't add up on their end.

Also, the second time I watched the movie, I noticed the examiner said that there was Amanda's blood mixed with Meredith's in the bathroom and on the floor. I'm assuming that is factual information (that I didn't catch the first time). In court, she said that there have been plenty of stabbings in which DNA as not deposited. I'm no crime expert, but it's clear they were there and played some role.

Cont. : The boyfriend's DNA was only found on a bra strap and a tiny amount of his and Knox's DNA was found on a knife at his apartment. I'm sure they did try to clean up any evidence pointing to them, but they'd have to be good to get rid of all of their's and leave only Gaede's DNA behind.
I feel Knox, boyfriend, and Gaede are all guilty, BUT:
1. Why did Gaede change his story? He never mentioned Knox or boyfriend in his original confession, and even when investigators asked him about them, he repeatedly said they were not there. He later changed his story and said the boyfriend did it, and Knox was seen fleeing the scene, but if this were true, why would Gaede not put blame on them from the start? Why would he protect them?

I think she and the boyfriend are guilty, BUT there are so many oddities to this case that I feel if she had been tried in the U.S., she would have been found not guilty. There was definitely bias at play in the Italian court, and their court system is different than ours.

just watched the movie last night --i would say after reading the Massei Report and hearing various stories or rumors of what happened or what may have happened ---that the movie was pretty neutral. I don't think they made any assumptions for her or against her. Although i agree that a movie before her appeals was an untimely event --i don't really think that this movie will do her harm or work in her favor..the story is what it is --Lifetime just happened to make a movie about it.
Word to the wise: don't get involved in romantic relationship with foreigners when you're traveling abroad. Knox is clearly innocent. If she hadn't been involved in that relationship I doubt that any of this would have happened.

Her and her boyfriends alibi's did not match, her boyfriends computer usage did not match his alibi, his DNA was also found on the victims bra strap. They did not call the police and were found cleaning the apartment. It goes on and on.

I vacationed summer 2009 in Italy and got to know a gentleman and his son who owned and operated a castle where me and my friends stayed. The trial was taking place and I asked them their opinions. Both without hesitation said she was guilty. When I asked them why, they said it was because of the media coverage. If Amanda is innocent, she didn't stand a chance. We will probably never know the truth about what happened that night.

At least Lifetime took out the graphic depiction of the sexual assault and murder of Meredith Kercher, which was totally gratuitous and disgusting. However, one scene in this trailer is already factually INaccurate: showing Meredith voluntarily sexually interacting with Rudy Guede (specifically getting on top of him). Read the Massei sentencing report and other legal documents that show Guede lied when he (a convicted murderer and proven liar) claimed Meredith was into him. It's blame the victim

I can't think of any reason for wanting to frame two early-20-something-aged school students. The truth is, they had no alibi - they lied early on, and their behavior was whacked, very different from Amanda's roommates. I see no reason for investigators to destroy evidence or lie about testimony, and I've seen nothing about that at all.

No murder weapon? No motive? Meredith's room would have been filled with dozens of bloody footprints, handprints and DNA of three people, not one, if the prosecutor's theory is true. Moreover, it would have been impossible to remove all traces of evidence of Amanda and Raffaele while leaving all evidence (including DOZENS of DNA samples of skin hair, etc of Rudy!) of Rudy intact. Mignini framed them. RS & AK are innocent.

Anyone who does illegal drugs is such an idiot, esp. in a foreign country. The drugs can be laced with anything. They already admitted to the prosecution in their story that they did drugs - first mistake. Then, they changed their stories all around - second mistake. These two sure don't produce an air of innocence.

Why was Sollecito's computer turned off all night if they were there watching a movie online? Plus, Knox and Sollecito were both into illegal drugs, drinking, and had written violent stories. If they had no role in the crime, why would they be cleaning up? If they had just arrived and were afraid of all the blood in the bathroom/the apparent break-in, why would she take a shower there? Why didn't they immediately call the cops? Sollecito claimed he called the 112, but it is undetermined when he made the call. Too many things don't add up on their end.

Also, the second time I watched the movie, I noticed the examiner said that there was Amanda's blood mixed with Meredith's in the bathroom and on the floor. I'm assuming that is factual information (that I didn't catch the first time). In court, she said that there have been plenty of stabbings in which DNA as not deposited. I'm no crime expert, but it's clear they were there and played some role.

Cont. : The boyfriend's DNA was only found on a bra strap and a tiny amount of his and Knox's DNA was found on a knife at his apartment. I'm sure they did try to clean up any evidence pointing to them, but they'd have to be good to get rid of all of their's and leave only Gaede's DNA behind.

I feel Knox, boyfriend, and Gaede are all guilty, BUT:
1. Why did Gaede change his story? He never mentioned Knox or boyfriend in his original confession, and even when investigators asked him about them, he repeatedly said they were not there. He later changed his story and said the boyfriend did it, and Knox was seen fleeing the scene, but if this were true, why would Gaede not put blame on them from the start? Why would he protect them?

@readingrox19 There is no clear answer. She was found guilty, but her case is on appeal due to a claim of mishandling of evidence.
I think she and the boyfriend are guilty, BUT there are so many oddities to this case that I feel if she had been tried in the U.S., she would have been found not guilty. There was definitely bias at play in the Italian court, and their court system is different than ours.

I saw her family on Oprah and while my heart breaks for them, I don't believe she had nothing to do with it. That is complete nonsense. She clearly did something that led to Meredith being dead. Maybe she didn't intend for things to go the way they did, but she should have owned up to something. That way maybe she would've served less time and there could be some closure for everybody involved.

just watched the movie last night --i would say after reading the Massei Report and hearing various stories or rumors of what happened or what may have happened ---that the movie was pretty neutral. I don't think they made any assumptions for her or against her. Although i agree that a movie before her appeals was an untimely event --i don't really think that this movie will do her harm or work in her favor..the story is what it is --Lifetime just happened to make a movie about it.

@cheekerz1 - That is not the "only evidence" - Amanda bought cleaning products the morning after, she signed a written confession, she changed her story many times including saying she heard her being killed by a totally innocent man who then lost his business. Her and her boyfriends alibi's did not match, her boyfriends computer usage did not match his alibi, his DNA was also found on the victims bra strap. They did not call the police and were found cleaning the apartment. It goes on and on.

I vacationed summer 2009 in Italy and got to know a gentleman and his son who owned and operated a castle where me and my friends stayed. The trial was taking place and I asked them their opinions. Both without hesitation said she was guilty. When I asked them why, they said it was because of the media coverage. If Amanda is innocent, she didn't stand a chance. We will probably never know the truth about what happened that night.

At least Lifetime took out the graphic depiction of the sexual assault and murder of Meredith Kercher, which was totally gratuitous and disgusting. However, one scene in this trailer is already factually INaccurate: showing Meredith voluntarily sexually interacting with Rudy Guede (specifically getting on top of him). Read the Massei sentencing report and other legal documents that show Guede lied when he (a convicted murderer and proven liar) claimed Meredith was into him. It's blame the victim
