  • Pull out the spark plug wire. "What?" PULL OUT THE SPARK PLUG WIRE!!!!

  • This company had a combined total of 36 employees that contributed to the campaigns of Wisconsin's Temporary Governor Scott Walker for a total of over $25,000.So Briggs & Stratton is on the Boycott list and everyone is encouraged to join and share the message.

  • Look at the flames O_O wow

  • That thing sounds like a muscle car.Fucking beastly engine.

  • w t f are you deaf

  • It runs on gas?

  • @wq1299 he said that because they didn't have to run it on starting fluid.

  • be carefull, briggs engines DO NOT like to run open head. i had a rod break in to 3 pieces and fly out the block. It was great but it sucked afterward.

  • i need this motor..lol

  • i need this same motor for my zero turn? any idea where to get one?

  • nice now all i need to do is find one for my tractor upgrade it form a 8hp to a 20+ hp engine talk about fun :)

  • i bought a 1999 murray wide body lawnmower 18.5hp twin cylinder for 100$ its nice to

  • it was funny PULL OUT THE FUCKING SPARK PLUG WIRE

  • @jjproctor he didnt say fucking

  • @TheTazzyT i know but u know he was thinking it lol

  • omg i love the sound of a V2 briggs open ehads.

  • SWEET!!! Started right up! Sounds like a beast too!

  • what is MEL-CO

  • MEL-CO is a seller on eBay.

  • @LynolsOffice i need a motor the same motor for my zero turn any ideas where to get one?

  • i got a 15 horse single for free- guy said it was knocking so he replaced it and threw this one in the dumpster, so i come along asked him what was wrong with it and he said it was knocking, i get it, gas, oil, battery and it started first try-and ran without knocking

  • Ha! can't beat that! The motor mounting bolts were probably loose or something causing the knocking. Sweet deal.

  • lol I made the same mistake with my 3.5 hp briggs. I got it started and when I wanted to cut it, I didn't know what to do because I didn't have a kill switch hooked up!! My dad was like "just tap the head with a screwdriver so I did and it shut off. oops!!!!!!

  • you can see it shoot flames out of the exhaust ports

  • Sounds like it might be running too lean, either by the carb being clogged/gummed up or not adjusted correctly, or it could be a clog in the line or fuel filter. (I went nuts trying to get one of my engines to stop doing that, and it ended up being a defective fuel filter, wasn't letting enough gas through.)

  • Very Helpful!! Thanks very mucho:)

  • ok i have a question for u guys

i have a 14.5 hp briggs and stratton ohv thats on a project that im currently workin on and possibly have a vid of it wen i get the exhaust on do u guys think that it is possible to put a glass pack on it? please reply thanx!

  • A glass pack!? Sounds a little silly, but yeah I guess you could put that on there if you wanted.

  • or a super 44 or sumthin i like being different lol i want somthing that sounds REALLY tough

  • If you can weld it, or otherwise make it fit, you can put it on there!

  • get cherry bomb

    or hotrod style strait pipe.

  • Someone is deaf

PULL OUT THE SPARK PLUG WIRE!!!!!

  • do they have a web site great vid glad it ran and was'nt blown up

  • I have 25 Hp Briggs from a Murray how much would a complete rebuild (KIT) cost ? don´t know whats actually wrong with it runs on one cylinder .

  • Gaskets were about $9 each, rings were $30 each, and rods were $35 each. If you find that it threw a rod, make sure you open it up and check for damage to the block. I found that a lot of times the block gets damaged beyond use when it throws a rod.

  • I also have a 25HP Briggs Intek V-Twin from a Huskee Supreme ... it also only ran on one cylinder. I inspected the motor yesterday and discovered that the intake valve on the #1 cylinder wasn't opening ... not good. Took engine apart today to discover that the cam lobe was pretty much wore down to nothing ... explains why it only ran on one cylinder. This is really disappoint seeing how the engine is a 2004 model ... so much for the Extend Life Series (ELS) motor .... what a joke!

  • never kill the engine like that, totals your ignition,,

  • I think that was the only time I had to do that. Forgot to hook up a kill wire, so I didn't have much of a choice. I never knew it was bad for the coil though.

  • It's not. Bad for you if you happen to get bit in the process (hurts like heck!), but doesn't do anything to the ignition.

  • Comment removed

  • i have that same motor and i rebilt it but she will not fire up if u can help al make a video of what its doing thank you

  • Yeah, sure make a vid.

  • nice engine could you show where you hook up the jumper cable tho?

  • We hooked the positive (red) up to the terminal on the starter where the wire would normaly go, and then we hook the negative (black) end up to the block, just anywhere it would clip up; it just needs to make a good ground with the block.

  • i ordered an engine just like that, from mel-co on ebay and i was thinkin the same that it might be siezed or a thrown rod, but when i got it one of the exhaust valves went bad

  • I just rebuilt an engine very similar to this in my auto repair class... started right up after a complete take apart and rebuild... the only thing that sucks is that if you dont have the wiring harness its a bitch to get power to the carb.

  • i think i want to look into buying a motor online like yall did....

  • lol i love when idiots online say the shit dosnt work, because there too stupid to put gas in it,lol or clean the carb.

  • is that thwe weed eater in the video

  • Sure is. We used to use it for testing motors until we built a bench for that. Check out user moldymac and watch his 26hp B&S V-Twin video. That's the stand I made.

  • what do you want for it? i.e. amount of cash and/or trade item

  • Is there an exhaust on the engine in this video?

  • no, we set it up temporarily on an old tractor we had just to test it.

  • Hey LynolsOffice can you help me. My Briggs and Stratton go-cart engine seized because of lack of oil. Is this repairable? If so, how?

  • Yeah probably. Your rod is probably melted onto your crankshaft, you'll need a new connecting rod and you may need to get your crankshaft turned or replaced if it's real scored looking.

  • it runs like its not sick

  • What website did you get the engine from??

  • From user "Mel-Co" on eBay

  • Thanks for the answer i just bought one my self

  • You got lucky. The engine I got had bad rings.

  • Well, I'm sure the other motor we bought will be a seized piece of junk.

  • The other one came today -thrown rod. Now thats more like it.

  • Once again you need to Bolt down the engine :)

  • meh... I put some bolts through the holes. Good enough for a 30 second test.

  • I know man im just messin with ya, pretty good for $100...just the carb and heads are worth more.

  • me and my dad do that all the time on tractors, chainsaws, weedwackers, leafblowers

  • Nope!

  • is that one of them returned engines, that are only like 50bucks i think i see them on ebay alot

  • Bingo. I think it was $50 plus $50 to ship.

  • same here. I saw it the other day on eBay

  • nice video intresting 5 stars
