I have 4 birds they're insane! Your birds is cute but mine they wake me up at 6 am for bird seed. It's the hardest thing to do! Sometimes they fly out but look at yer bird it's harmless. Mine will just fly right across the room. 4 birds is more than enough! D;

how long does it take 2 teach a budgie 2 talk, older budgies. how llong does it take 4 2 budgies 2 talk. also, can i ask, how do u keep it from flying around like crazy and get it back to its cage? need some tips before i do it please.

@SarahhRose7 You can't really 'teach' them. They pick it up on their own. My grandfather had a couple that were around a lot of rap songs thanks to my cousins. So they somehow learned to beatbox. Just put something like music by them and they usually pick it up.

@SarahhRose7 As member of the parot family, they can talk. But its much much harder to teach a budgie to talk then bigger bird in the parot family.

keep repeating the word to them, slowly and cleary. ive heard it can take a few weeks to months. i havent done it b4, but if the bird makes a noise-trying 2 copy u saying something give it a treat-millet seed. do u let ur bird out of it's cage?

lol my dad had 17 of this birdies when he was young. He said the funniest thing was when the phone ringed, a lot of them would start imitating the sound hahahaha

Can someone tell me are mirror's ok for budgies? mine is a male and he thinks he's the boss !!!. I had been working with him everyday but we lost our home to a fire in Cold Lake. I can't put my hand anywhere near him or he bites me. Anyone have a idea what I can do????

yes start by giving him millet seed. i am currently doing this. start petting him with it then start moving ur hand along a brand he is standing on and start petting him. if he bites u DONT PULL BACK! wait till he stops. if u pull back he will think that everytime he bites u u will stop then that will be the way he works. did this help?
