Sudanese people are black by ethnic origin, decended from the Cushites and the Nubians, but they are arab by language, and culture end of story. the same applies to the other north african peoples who are largely berber by ethnic origin, but arab by language and culture. north africans are hybrids of arab and their own ethnic roots. I also think the separation of the south was planned by the government so that it would be easier for them to steal the oil and use it not to improve the country but for their own good. If any of you guys were actually educated, you would know that an arab is considered a person that speaks arabic!!!There is no such thing as an "arab" cuture since the arab empire was very broad just like how you can't say hispanic culture, every part of latin america is different colonized by different people. Being sudanese, I feel very proud because I KNOW that being sudanese has a delightful mix between arab and african. Every arab region is different like the Syrians and the Gulf Salam :)

I am from the Middle East and I just wanted to clarify one thing, Sudanese people are not lazy, in fact they have built and created every facility in the Middle East ranging from hospitals to governmental institutions. Also, did it ever occur to you that Sudanese songs for non-sudanese is hard, so Munir was a compromise for some? northern Sudanese are 25% Arab, 75% Nubian according to a recent genetic study , we are not running after Arabs, but we are not running after other Africans either . we have our own great distinct history and culture. we have lots of ties with northern Africans and Arabs. but our closest relatives are the lovely Ethiopians and Eritreans. period

Nothing against them, but Arabic is my mother tongue and the mother tongue of generations of my ancistars, my heritage and culture is clearly Arabic and my blood is as much Arabic as it's African. my family never lived in Sudan, my grandparents moved to the UK when they were young, they lived all their lives and they my mum met my dad in america where she used to study there, my point is even though i'm born + bred in the UK i still consider myself as sudanese and so do my family, my dads sudanese american and my mums sudanese british, and i'm sudanese british american, at the end of the day i'm sudanese, i look half cast but im black african and proud of it.

Sudanese are very decent, polite, generous, trustworthy, dedicated and have dignity and not materialistic;the opposite are Egyptains. True i love our big mix, you can see white and black in one family. There are lots of dark people in Oman but the majority actually arent. You might see them on TV but if you mix with people in Oman you ll see something else.

sorry dude! but I think your geographic information is kinda poor! as a geographic concept Sudan can be considered as northern african region, Saharan, Eastern (African horn) or Middle-eastern! although it's not involved "politically"in the east african countries bond that contains Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Somalia! can you remind me please what the size of "the" Sudan is?

This is really nice video and would have been even nicer if the dancer were choreographed properly and learned more movement from the very rich sudanese culture. I am from the Middle East and I just wanted to clarify one thing, Sudanese people are not lazy, in fact they have built and created every facility in the Middle East ranging from hospitals to governmental institutions. It is agreed upon the Arab world that most of the trouble makers are Egyptians, I have no idea why that is but they are like the Israel of the West, always looking for authority and trouble...I love my sudanese brothers, they are harmless and never look for trouble!

Also, did it ever occur to you that Sudanese songs for non-sudanese is hard, so Munir was a compromise for some? That is why Khaled is special and very talented, he can sing all kinds of music, and trust me many artists have tried to sound as good in Sudanese as other arabic music and failed....

northern Sudanese are 25% Arab, 75% Nubian according to a recent genetic study , we are not running after Arabs, but we are not running after other Africans either . we have our own great distinct history and culture. we have lots of ties with northern Africans and Arabs. but our closest relatives are the lovely Ethiopians and Eritreans. period

Nothing against them, but Arabic is my mother tongue and the mother tongue of generations of my ancistars, my heritage and culture is clearly Arabic and my blood is as much Arabic as it's African. my family never lived in Sudan, my grandparents moved to the UK when they were young, they lived all their lives and they my mum met my dad in america where she used to study there, my point is even though i'm born + bred in the UK i still consider myself as sudanese and so do my family, my dads sudanese american and my mums sudanese british, and i'm sudanese british american, at the end of the day i'm sudanese, i look half cast but im black african and proud of it.

Egypt and Sudan will never be one country. The cultures are completely different. I am Arab from another country and worked with both nationalities. Sudanese are very decent, polite, generous, trustworthy, dedicated and have dignity and not materialistic;the opposite are Egyptains. The are the low of the lowest: thieves, prostitutes and you expect them to be any evil. I never employ them in my company in Kuwait. I advice any person not to waste his time with Egyptians.

Omg, the Arab countries in Africa are mixed race, Sudan- Half Nubian half Arab and Egypt is half Coptis half Arab except for the VERY south, and the rest are half BERBER half ARAB, so colour dosent matter, the majority of Sudanese aren't jet black due to mixed race, people say I look Arab even though im mixed race...

AND FOR THE RECORDS sudan is in north africa, if you look at the continent we are in the north region of africa, however we so big we extend to east and central africa.

loool..If u are real Arab why do u get mad when they say u ain't Arab?? I am from sudan,, my country located in east Africa, we speak more than 100 language we have one of the biggest country in the world we have one of the longest rivers in the world. we used to be the world food basket.
what doesn't make me proud of being Sudanese and doesn't share this pride with any Arab motherfuckers

Arabs migrated to sudan in the 7 century and continued arriving in sudan until the 15 century,I dont no nubiatech probably got some ethiopian grandmother or something,but culturaly linguistically and ethnically we are apart of the Arab world.

They have been associated with Arabs and carry on their culture and language but no they are Africans...Nubians, unique like no other...oldest civilization in the world...they are the 'black Pharaohs'...not Arab...not Arab at all!

True i love our big mix, you can see white and black in one family. There are lots of dark people in Oman but the majority actually arent. You might see them on TV but if you mix with people in Oman you ll see something else.
