not many people know this, but this episode, even though not the first in series 1, is actually the pilot.

note richies long hair, the position of furnature (piano not in usuall place), and eddie's hair. and the video quality, on the original is different.

@666rocko Stunning, isn't it? I remember it being announced at the end of the 3rd series. Each one just got better and better! Then the bloody BBC step in. It was written as well, so the script must be out there. I think they could do a new series as the two as ageing men. Discourse heavy, it would work. But I think they have gone by their best now.

rik and ade most probably wont work together because in an interview adrian did like a year ago, he was questioned why they wernt working together and he replied something like this:

" we are old! who wants to see 2 old men talking about bottoms, boggies and willies??" and also he said something about after rik accident he wasnt the same, he gave up alcohol which helped with alot of the material and he wasnt as quick on his feet...

I think this was actually the pilot, as you can see both ade's and rik's characters were a bit different than in other episodes...ade's head was not clean shaven, and rik was a bit less obese. Also the deco and structure of the house were different than in later episodes (notice the orientation of the stairs).
