If you have all these question about ''how can he let people die...'' then go and do research and know and see for yourself who God is. You can always ask Him, you have nothing to lose. God has given us free will. We are completely free to do anything we want. Right now I can choose to love and care for those around me, yet at the same time I can do evil to those around me.
I think the majority of the things you are talking about, especially wars, are started because of the evil in people's hearts and the greed they have. Yes, sometimes the wars start in the 'name of God' yet I do not believe that God himself condones these wars.
For example, if you have an evil Judge and he takes bribes and then makes unrighteous decisions. Would you say that it is the fault of the whole legal system? OR would you recognise that it is that person using their power to do evil rather than good?
Thus the same with things that happen in the world. God is NOT for war, or innocent people hurting, dying, etc. It says in the bible that he loves us.
i know GOD IS ABLE to get me through my last year of highschool, a year that is very stressful and hard but i know GOD IS ABLE to give me strength and get through it ! i thank him that HE has been with me through everything so far !!

It's funny how some people just deny the existence of god while in the other parts of the world there are so many people who would risk their lives just to attend church. Why would people try so hard to prove that god does not exist? So what about the big bang theory or the evolution theory? Let there be light sounds like the big bang and in Genesis, God made the sea creatures 1st and only extend 2 the land and sky animals. Sounds a little like evolution...

Hi, I have been listening to Hillsongs' Music and it is keeping me always inspired to sing and worship our creator. However, for the past couple of years,most of their songs became sound really alike when it comes to melody. The lyrics are great as always, but most of the songs had been arranged slightly similar to one another. I may not have enough knowledge about music, but that is only what i have thought about it! You can put your faith in science if you like. You presume that what the scientists are saying is correct..that takes faith! As i said 2 different scientists may have a completely different interpretation on evidence. Who do you believe? We christians put our faith in God and what the bible says which by the way has evidence..archeological and otherwise regarding the veracity of it. The term Big Bang theory came from the work of a belgium priest (Georges Lemaitre), Charles Darwin was a Christian, and whilst he struggled with his faith, especially after the death of his daughter, he was honoured by the church and buried in Westminster Abbey. Galileo never abandoned his faith and stuck to his beliefs about his observations. Logic doesn't mean faith dies!

To anyone that came to hate here: How can you judge if God is real or not if you never put honest effort into prayer. If you have all these question about ''how can he let people die...'' then go and do research and know and see for yourself who God is. You can always ask Him, you have nothing to lose. Hey, great question.
God has given us free will. We are completely free to do anything we want. Right now I can choose to love and care for those around me, yet at the same time I can do evil to those around me.
I think the majority of the things you are talking about, especially wars, are started because of the evil in people's hearts and the greed they have. Yes, sometimes the wars start in the 'name of God' yet I do not believe that God himself condones these wars.

For example, if you have an evil Judge and he takes bribes and then makes unrighteous decisions. Would you say that it is the fault of the whole legal system? OR would you recognise that it is that person using their power to do evil rather than good?
Thus the same with things that happen in the world. God is NOT for war, or innocent people hurting, dying, etc. It says in the bible that he loves us.

It's funny how some people just deny the existence of god while in the other parts of the world there are so many people who would risk their lives just to attend church. Why would people try so hard to prove that god does not exist? So what about the big bang theory or the evolution theory? Let there be light sounds like the big bang and in Genesis, God made the sea creatures 1st and only extend 2 the land and sky animals. Sounds a little like evolution...

Hi, I have been listening to Hillsongs' Music and it is keeping me always inspired to sing and worship our creator. However, for the past couple of years,most of their songs became sound really alike when it comes to melody. The lyrics are great as always, but most of the songs had been arranged slightly similar to one another. I may not have enough knowledge about music, but that is only what i have thought about it! You can put your faith in science if you like. You presume that what the scientists are saying is correct..that takes faith! As i said 2 different scientists may have a completely different interpretation on evidence. Who do you believe? We christians put our faith in God and what the bible says which by the way has evidence..archeological and otherwise regarding the veracity of it. That may be illogical but God defies our logic. He is able to do do anything. Also there are some things that science cannot measure
eg it cannot measure motives. 2 different people can have a different interpretations on the same evidence.

I love how non Christians will come on to a clearly Christian page and then try and put forward their case. God is, and always will be real whether you believe it or not. It isn't for us to prove it, God has already done that. You can't disprove it, all you manage is to explain around and self justify your conclusions. The truth is simple - God is! And this song is great.

This totally defies any logic! Millions of people "believed" that the earth was flat, for centuries, but that didn't make it so. It took science to prove the truth. Same with any/all gods. NO proof.

@ausGeoff1 You seem to ignore the fact that many of the ideas about the world came from religious people. The term Big Bang theory came from the work of a belgium priest (Georges Lemaitre), Charles Darwin was a Christian, and whilst he struggled with his faith, especially after the death of his daughter, he was honoured by the church and buried in Westminster Abbey. Galileo never abandoned his faith and stuck to his beliefs about his observations. Logic doesn't mean faith dies!

@JIDiversion —The mere fact that Darwin and Galileo were "religious" is neither here nor there. So are many of today's top scientists, but that's no proof in or of itself that a god exists. I have to admit that even during the 19th century, some scientists believed that the earth was flat. Scientists aren't ALWAYS correct in their beliefs obviously.
You're simply proposing that because men of science have faith in the unknown, it gives that faith more credence.

Obviously, Lemaître had a far, far greater influence on the path of science than religion. The fact that he was also a priest is immaterial to this argument. Today in the USA more than 5,000 Catholic priests have been identified as paedophiles. That (obviously!) doesn't make it right.
An over-simplified conflation of religion and scientific theory doesn't prove or disprove the claims of either - on its own. We need empirical evidence (for both) to do so. Science has that.

I'm NOT a non-Christian; I'm an atheist. Subtle difference. To be a "non-Christian" I'd have to accept that the so-named Christian's tenets are at least partially valid and/or open to argument. But I don't. They're easily proven totally misguided utilising any 21st-century scientific analysis.
This is a classic illustration that shows most Christians simply don't understand the meaning of the term "atheist".

Having agreed with that however, we (society) still MUST rely on the pure sciences to direct the course of our (society's) every day lives and laws, and politics and economies etc. The tenets and idealistic beliefs of religions don't provide that detached input; religion is ALWAYS - inevitably - limited by its own Dark Ages dogma.
