Orthodox Church is already One True and Apostolic. If we unite with western heretics, we would lose this "One True and Apostolic" and we would become a simple Christian dominion. If Roman-Catholic "Church" really wants to unite, they should leave all their heresies, and then we would be glad to unite, to restore the Patriarch of Rome. "And i believe in one true holy gathering apostolic Church." the Symbol of Faith says.

And yes, I realize you are going to say he never invented a doctrine, and it was just once a belief believed by some people but not all people, but the pope decided to force the doctrine for everyone to believe in. This new idea of "doctrinal development" was never believed in the ancient Church.

The difficult theological questions were settled by St.Peter. Act11:18 And, at Pentacost he is the one who adresses the Jews. That's the Job of the Pope, to stand as leader to the colege of Bishops, that's all. Investigate what concerns St.Peter, he is not perfect but he is seen as leader of the Church.

The Bishops do not reflect the Trinity, they relfect head of the Body, the Church, the second person of the Trinity, the Son. @Reynbrecht I do hope and pray for unity for our Churches, but the only way that will happen is if the Catholic Church returns to Apostolic teachings. Papal Supremacy, Papal Infallibility, the Immaculate Conception, the Filioque etc., are not teachings from the early Church. Unity can only happen if the Catholics embrace the fullness of the Orthodox Faith. Since Rome is in heresy, the Orthodox Church cannot unite with Rome. Rome must return to Orthodoxy!!

I was raised as a very pious Catholic, and I went researching through history to try and prove the Roman Catholic faith is the true faith. As I went deep into historical research, I discovered something different. A different Christian faith. This new faith I discovered was not new, but old and ancient, and has it has been around since Pentecost, and remains unchanged today 2000 years later. Was it the Roman Catholic faith? No, it was the Orthodox faith! Praise God I found Orthodoxy, the truth!!

I do not really know too much about the Saints from the Orient. I can tell you from Europe : Saint Nicolae Velimirovici, Saint Arsenie Boca, Father Cleopa, Saint Seraphim of Sarov, Saint Seraphim Rose, Father Dumitru Staniloae (the biggest theologian of Romania) and so on. I do not have too much time to do search now. But the Saints are Saints anywhere ! They are the Work of the Holy Spirit ! None of them can be wrong in His teachings.

Orthodox Church is already One True and Apostolic. If we unite with western heretics, we would lose this "One True and Apostolic" and we would become a simple Christian dominion. If Roman-Catholic "Church" really wants to unite, they should leave all their heresies, and then we would be glad to unite, to restore the Patriarch of Rome. And yes, I realize you are going to say he never invented a doctrine, and it was just once a belief believed by some people but not all people, but the pope decided to force the doctrine for everyone to believe in. This new idea of "doctrinal development" was never believed in the ancient Church.

The difficult theological questions were settled by St.Peter. Act11:18 And, at Pentacost he is the one who adresses the Jews. The Bishops do not reflect the Trinity, they relfect head of the Body, the Church, the second person of the Trinity, the Son. But, again you are avoiding what Jesus did:giving the keys of the kingdom to Peter, which is an office, giving him primary authority, to preserve true teaching.Mt16:19 Maybe you should be doing more biblical study, instead of giving your own opinion. @Reynbrecht I do hope and pray for unity for our Churches, but the only way that will happen is if the Catholic Church returns to Apostolic teachings. Papal Supremacy, Papal Infallibility, the Immaculate Conception, the Filioque etc., are not teachings from the early Church. Unity can only happen if the Catholics embrace the fullness of the Orthodox Faith. Since Rome is in heresy, the Orthodox Church cannot unite with Rome. Rome must return to Orthodoxy!!

The differences are big, i have been going to Church with my Wife and 2 sons for the last 2 years now, sinds i have realized that following Christ is the only right way. however, im am seeing how differently Catholics are and how liturgy is becoming an obligation for many people instead of a blessing, God will show me my way

I was raised as a very pious Catholic, and I went researching through history to try and prove the Roman Catholic faith is the true faith. As I went deep into historical research, I discovered something different. A different Christian faith. This new faith I discovered was not new, but old and ancient, and has it has been around since Pentecost, and remains unchanged today 2000 years later. Was it the Roman Catholic faith? No, it was the Orthodox faith! Praise God I found Orthodoxy, the truth!!

I can tell you from Europe : Saint Nicolae Velimirovici, Saint Arsenie Boca, Father Cleopa, Saint Seraphim of Sarov, Saint Seraphim Rose, Father Dumitru Staniloae (the biggest theologian of Romania) and so on. I do not have too much time to do search now. But the Saints are Saints anywhere ! They are the Work of the Holy Spirit ! None of them can be wrong in His teachings.

I just got done watching a Christian documentary about the occult in the music industry. After all the awfulness I just saw and heard, this video and music is like a soothing tonic. May God watch over, bless and protect all my Orthodox brothers and sisters.

Let all Orthodox, and Armenian Apostolic, and Catholic sit in the table of Charity! We have so much to share, after all they are not ours, but His!

@perkouwcity Of course he thinks he can judge, he is Catholic, and they have "God's avatar" in Top Management of their corporation. They can judge, they can kill, they can make crusade war, no problem, pope signed it and that's cool... and now they call us (Orthodox) to reunite!!! haha, we never left Apostolic church, you (Catholics) did. Fire your administrator: The Pope and possibly we can talk.

It's not problem of faith but problem of Pope's political and economical illness and tendency to be the-only-one representative of God on Earth, that's sick and evil. So we'll never accept such institution like "Pope"

but lets not judge the catholics like they judge us. I cant say it enough, it is all about following Christ. let people decide how they want to follow God, the group of people who follow Christ is variated. people from all sorts of churches follow him and He loves them all.
i mean, even within the orthodox there are people with different visions and a different look on God.

this does not mean every christian religion is right. especially cults and groups like jehovas are just wrong. do not hate them for being in a mislead church, but feel sorry for them and pray for them. they too are created by God!

Now thats One Holy Catholic Apostolic Church! not based on your ethnic background and attached to a certain patriarch! Remember, "catholic" means Universal! We, the Orthodox christians have nothing to do with the heresy- the Catholic church ! Why the Catholics do not give up their pride and come back to the Orthodoxy ?! We are more than happy to have them back, poor souls, led in the darkness of death by the satan !
In 1054 the Bishop of Rome split from the Orthodox church and he proclaimed himself the head of the new born catholi , he replaced The Lord

@mircea293 Apparitions of the blessed mother are quite frequent amongst Catholics. Padre Pio was quite filled with the power of Holy Spirit. I believe he still is. There must be something to Catholicism.

@mircea293 about this... we Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox belong to the same faith... the maior difference between us is about the Primacy of the Pope and the point of the "Filioque" but then... we are the same, also... the Pope Paul VI and the Patriarch of Constantinople (i dont remember his name) have revoke the mutual excomunication, since 1056... so one day we will be one again... as Katholicos, as we are named since 180 AD used for the first time by St Ignatius of Antioch

@Mafiozoboy i understand you point, my friend, but.... the primacy of the Pope, is and administrative matter, barely discussed in the 7 Ecumenical Councels, and the Filioque was a Theological matter introduced by the Patriarch of Constantinople Phocas in the 8th century in the context of a political dicussion with Rome, and as understand it was never discussed in a Councel...
So, you as Eastern Orthodox and we Roman Catholics, must seek the union, not more division... blessings brother

@LScipio by other hand, the Pope don´t replace God... that´s absurd, it´s like to say that the Ecumenic Patriarch replaces God, or the Sinod is superior to God´s will... this is ridiculous... Remember that the scism of 1054 was the result of political disputes between the Pope of Rome and the Patriarch of Constantinople, Thanks God the mutual excomunication between then was revoked 40 years ago... we should take this lesson

The Unity can become true only if the Catholics return to Orthodoxy and recognize Our Lord Jesus Christ as being the HEAD OF THE CHURCH ! Not the pope, but THE LORD !
The Head of the Orthodox Church was/is Our Lord JESUS CHRIST SINCE THE BEGINNING !
If the Orthodox Church changes only one word from the 7 Holy Synods, that means the Orthodoxy dies ! This is not going to happen because Our Lord Jesus Christ said that His Church will not be defeated even by the gates of the hell !

There is no power without LOVE ! There is no power withot TRUTH ! The Orthodox church preserved the TRUTH because never changed ! The Orthodox church requires His believers to love all the souls without conditions or limits ! a true Orthodox christian is loving all the souls before he loves his own soul ! No matter what happens, no matter what happens to him. In the Orthodox church GOD is still doing lots of miracles. Our church is still giving Saints !
