  • Another MEM MORE REE , here, just got my Driver's License wen this came out and took my LATE SISTER now 2 the LIBRARY!!!!!!! My Dad even liked this song 2.

  • God I love this song. Paul's first 2 albums after the breakup were his best

  • This is a Great Song, what a writer... I hope someday can go to a concert before being too late.

  • It's just another day dude!

  • If this is a substitute of the original Paul I think it's even better than him.

  • So sad so sad sometimes she feel so sad...

  • MARTA MENA.....the girl from virgil jr. high,,the most beautiful girl at school i used to walk home on reno street,,,the one that got away ,i look down the street where she lived and this song played..1972...ralph

  • Each Paul McCartney album has been weaker than the one before it.

  • @JimColyer the last album worth spending money on was ram or maybe band on the run.that was a long time ago.

  • This was at the time of its' release, one of those 'Beatle influenced' songs Paul wrote and put out. Rather a good one I might add! Don't you think?

  • If Paul is dead I'm in heaven.

  • Qualifications for replacing a dead Paul McCartney:

1.) Sound Alike 2.) Look Alike 3.) Left handed bassist/guitarist 4.) Pianist 5.) British (i suppose that belongs in the sound alike category)

Do you idiots listen to yourselves speak?

  • @XCisAwesome Dont forget he has to be a genius:)

  • @XCisAwesome Yeah, Paul McCartney is dead, but Elvis is alive - go figure! But then there's Ariel Sharon who's been in critical condition (i.e. coma) for several years, which is neither alive or dead. Now I'm totally confused!

  • I think it is the ones promoting an argument about the best songwriter/singer and John Lennon fans who keep spouting the dumbassed crap about Paul being dead. He is NOT, I followed the Beatles since high school and I KNOW Paul when I see him. There is no other who could ever replace him. I was the first one in my hight school to know of the Beatles!

  • nice ;)

  • Paul its not dead, they sat that paul dead in december of 1966, so its just you hear Here There and Everywhere that was recorded in august of 1966 and compare with another day and you see

its the same voice, the same way of sing, Paul its alive with colors !!!

  • @mrjplima77 It's amazing how they replaced the most successful song writer of all time with a look alike who went on to also write just as many hits.

  • Wow!

  • Paul you have change my fave bass player line up you are now in the top 3.WOW you really run the bubblinest bass lines.

  • Love it.

  • I BURIED PAUL ! MISS HIM. MISS HIM. MISS HIM, THE PROBLEM IS I FORGOT WHERE I BURIED HIM. MUST BE OPTIMISTIC THOUGH AND KEEP LOOKING !

  • Omg... damn PiDers.... If Paul McCartney DID die in 1966/67 and it's a giant conspiracy... can we EVEN bitch? This FRAUD McCartney writes some FUCKING GOOD MUSIC!!

  • What memories ...Pure Gold!

  • paul would have been have 28, had he lived....

  • @930alpha, Paul McCartney is not dead.

    John and George are dead.

    R.I.P John and George!

  • R.I.P

  • This Song Was Played At My Nana's Wake. I Cant Help But Crying Now. I'm 13 And Love The Beatles Always Have Always Will :) <3

  • They had us sing this song in chorus, in the 70s. Also, Yesterday and other Beatles songs. I would like to thank my musical teachers for loving the Beatles!!

  • Awesome tune...pure genius!

  • Fantastic.

  • grrlmonster....it is my birthday today, and I came to listen as well....great minds think alike:)

    (George was always the best)

  • i play this for myself every year on my birthday, which its about to be in a few hours... i love this song in spite of john being my favorite beatle...

  • What a joy to be reminded of this gem!

  • the only thing you've done is yesterday...and since you've gone you're just another day....competitive geniuses will act like such spoiled children sometimes.

  • @LanceHelmut WELL, John was vindictive and WRONG about Paul !

  • masterpiece..

  • Excellent. All my youtube videos are just black masses of square.

  • I was watching 50 First Dates and this song came on. My reaction? OMYGOSH I LOVE THIS MOVIE SO MUCH MORE NOW!

  • Pure pop perfection. He really captured the sadness on that bridge. It's that emotional depth that made the Beatles.

  • @pianobillf I always thought this was a Beatles song. Yeah, it's that good.

  • this song is so beautiful

  • At 00:28 really looks like is John in the back vocals :( RIP

  • yo no sabiia quee la cantabaa paaul!!O:

la escuche en como si fuera la primera vez y tambiien en los simpsoon :B

  • 50 First dates!!!!

  • Congrats Paul! You're getting married! :D

  • I'm trying to find music from the past, did this became a hit song?

  • A friend of mine, about 15-20 years ago said she never felt so old, as when one of her co-workers came in all excited and asked if she knew Paul McCartney was in another band before Wings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DISPENSER4HIRE ha ha thats so funny! i knew about wings through paul...but your so lucky to live through the music you lived through, i dont now how old you are and i dont intend to find out but im 11 and i wish i lived in the 60s

  • @DISPENSER4HIRE I would immediately strangle that person...

  • One of my fav toons of all time! Beautiful voice as ever, amazing melody, and his usual Graham Green like ability to capture the lives of ordinary people -in a 3 min pop song! Genius.

  • Paul is not dead, you pricks.

  • @GenTortosine Ohyes! The best Beatle ever, Sir McCartney.

  • @GenTortosine how do you know?? and do you really have to use such NASTY language? and get a sense of humor.

  • Love this song! :)

  • Paul is the master of melody as this song so aptly demonstrates!

  • the song is about my wife veronica, her life in a day.

  • FAUL

  • @gogetta32 I see the scare over his lip!

  • My fav post-Beatles Paul song. Brilliant.

  • reminds me of 50 first dates

  • This was Paul's first solo single. Although radio stations around the world played the track "Maybe I'm Amazed", no singles were released from the McCartney" album. "Another Day" was a stand alone single, released in early 1971. Paul believed at the time that singles should not be on albums. He changed his mind later that year when he released two singles from the "Ram" album ("Uncle Albert" in North America, "Back Seat Of My Car" in Europe)

  • ayy mi papi <3

  • Is there two slightly different versions of this song, or am I crazy?

  • @elotrain You're crazy.

  • dudududududu

  • for a album recorded at home and playing every instrument this is a fairly decent effort, eat your heart out EVERY F N BAND OUT THERE TODAY

  • Chingona.

  • I have this single.

  • can you see the dislike bar?

  • my sims 2 series is called Another Day LOL

  • OMG i heard this song in my friend's car the other day. i must be getting really out of touch with my roots cuz i could tell that this song sounded very paul mccartney inspired but i thought it was a song from the 2000s by a completely different band. but at least i thought it sounded paul inspired :p

  • John Lennon makes fun of Paul in his song "How Do You Sleep" and includes reference to this song: "The only thing you've done is 'Yesterday' but since you're gone it's just a 'Another Day'."

  • @NoirFan01 John really barbed Paul in his song " How Do You Sleep ". Later on, Paul wrote " Silly Love Songs " as a retort to John. Seems John said to Paul, " All you want to write are silly love songs Paul " ! And so Paul wrote it. AND, whats wrong with that ??

  • @mrstevehartman John also took offense at Paul's lyric "Too Many People Preaching Practices/

Don't Let Them Tell You What You Wanna Be" from "Too Many People" & the lyric "We believe that we can't be wrong" from "Backseat of My Car" both from the RAM album.

  • @NoirFan01 I know that P & J had a running feud after the Beatles breakup. Sadly, John had a hard time controlling his emotions reguarding Paul. So, that all goes back to their individual personas. John the revolutionary and Paul the whimsical one ! Im sorry that they could not " recapture the magic " of the early Beatles years and still write together and fool around as they once did. OH, the music we missed !

  • @mrstevehartman Anyone alive during that time knows the context. The 60's and 70's were tumultuous times. I see John's point about wanting to write love songs during all that. It seems silly.

  • @MrTruthAddict Thats true. However, that still didnt stop the Beatles from writing love songs in the 60s. Obviously, Paul was more the lover than John who still went on to write " Double Fantasy ". I just think it took John about 10 years to work it out...

  • Wonder if Paul wrote this for Linda ? That is, her life before she met him ??

  • One of Paul's most underrated songs. LOVE it.

  • @geldofpunk32 Underrated its the first track on the wings greatest hits =P

  • Paul has so much material and this one always goes to the to of the list

    It stays in your head

    acoustic guitar and great vox

    thats all he needs

he could stand and play guitar for hours and not repeat a song

    amazing

the stops are so cool in this

everyday is special and just another day is a great way of expressing how each day is a gift

    thanks Paul

    Tim

  • Aacording to the sound-track listing in the movie '50 First Dates', the song is performed by Paul & Linda.; Is that this version, here, or, is this just Paul singing it, solo?

  • @tthomaselli2 Linda did do back up singing on it. I'm surprised you can hear it as well as you can here.

Props to YouTube for vastly improving sound quality.

Linda got some bad raps during a Wings tour for her voice but she really had some good moments - like this.

  • anyone else hear this in a recent simpsons episode? i jumped when i heard it, but then i remembered the simpsons' creators infatuation with the beatles as a group and individually.

  • @sgtpeppers94 I've heard it! But back then, I never knew this song. I thought of the simpsons when I first heard this song! I'm dying to see that episode again.

  • The only thing you done was yesterday

And since you're gone you're just another day

    Ah, how do you sleep?

Ah, how do you sleep at night?

    Paul is Dead

  • Today ain't Paulie's birthday...

  • This song made my mom cry because it's like a life story of her.

  • what a song! im only 22 but damn why have i not heard this song before?!?!

  • H a P pY BirtHDaY!!!! Thanks for years of great music! :O

  • Happy Birthday Paul - Thank you for your creativity, sensitivity, and most of all for sharing your gift...-:)

  • happy birthday Sir Paul!

  • @t0ny0ngBayawak sir!!!!!!: PUAJJJJJJJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anarchy in U.K.!!!!!jajajajajajajajajajaj

  • The guitar was fantastic..It reminds me of Beatles

  • Love this...rhapsodic......speaking of B sides,"Oh Woman Oh Why" ..one of Paul's most overlooked songs ever.. and one of his best rock vocals.

  • ...never said I like "Another day"...Best Macca solo's song is "Maybe I'm amazed", I think

  • I practically worship Paul, to the fact that my sisters call it idol worship- but I don't understand why this song is of such high status. It's a lovely tune, that, but it's not his best. I like the song, don't get me wrong, but it's a dim light in comparison to songs like "Oh Woman Oh why," "Big Barn Bed," or "Smile Away."

  • m encanta esta cancion.....yo pienso k es una de las mejores de Paul....

  • tras años sin oirlo,mi mujer me pilló llorando oyendolo por la radio.Me sonrió y me besó.Me dió un poco de vergüenza pero ella entendió que algo me trajo la cancion. Ahora ella está muerta y nunca olvidaré ese momento.De lo mejor de Paul.

  • Beautiful :)

  • I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL YOU GUYS ARE TALKING ABNOUT . PAUL IS A FUCKING GENIUS ! THIS SONG IS BEST DEFINED As unique and unequald!!

  • @jmaxcamp your spelling of unequaled is unequaled.

  • @LittleSweety YouTube ≠ Twitter.

  • Thank God for Linda or he might have gone the same way as that guy from Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett.

  • One of the best he did.

  • 50 1st dates :D

  • the guy is on a different level , what a genius , love the fab four and this is good enough for any of their albums .

  • The bass kicks ass in this song;;;;;;

  • I love this song!!! its so beautiful... great to listen to when you're sad ;)

  • This song was 40 years ago no.1 in the world charts #paul #mc #cartney

  • Can anyone hear where Lennon/ Harrison would have contributed backing harmonies had this been a Beatles track?

  • Paul wellcome to Peru and I know you will sing this song from 1971 April when I was a little cjçhild I heard on it at the radio greatings from Peru we wait for you Paul thanks

  • 26 people are stuck on groundhog's day :)

  • otro gran tema de paul en solitario suena triste y melancolico pero es un buen tema

  • 2 things everyone, and they are mad important, so listen up. Number 1, Sir Paul McCartney is THEEE SHIT. Number 2, I, am BAKED out of my GOD damn mind.

  • Saw him live in Glasgow in July 2010.I was born in the 50s and have been a Beatles fan all my life.He was effing awesome! Just brillinat!

  • As many others, this song was written earlier, in 1969, see the Let it be bootlegs. It is interesting, how long could John, Paul and George use their unreleased material from Beatle days on their solo works - John and Paul until 1971, George even until 19779-81, great evidence of the musical genius of them all, and also of the fact, that at the end of Beatles, probably they all wanted to go solo and get more space for their ideas...

  • There's reason's he's one of the greatest song writers that ever lived, this song is one of them.

  • lembra muito

  • 24 people didn't make it to another day.

  • Ahhh. An age of good music.

  • You cant beat just cool

  • when i was finally able to turn the radio back on after my husband died suddenly, this was the 1st song i heard. love it but cant hear it now without crying.

  • @pipesofpeace1 That must be hard for you, Johnny Walker played it today on Radio 2 (assuming your in the UK which I know I should not do) - I think we all have songs that make an impact on us for years to come for some kind of life changing reasons, I have been married for getting on for 26 years now and cant imagine how you must have felt...... I wish you well for today and tomorrow....

  • @Noragirlie63 thank you for your kind words. they are very much appreciated.

  • me toooo =>

  • love it!!

  • still new, this fine tune, isn't it?

  • This song was 40 years ago no.3 in the world charts #paul #mc #cartney

  • this is the song for my alarm. it doesn't work since it's such a soothing song to listen to so it doesn't force me to get up and turn off my alarm, but it's a good song so i just leave it there... oh god i am so fired

  • maybe you need headphones with good bass..

  • How do you go upon listening to this BEAUTIFUL song, the one YOU searched for...THEN, disliking it?

  • This song was 40 years ago no.10 in the world charts #paul #mc #cartney

  • the let it be album would be so much better if it had this song

  • @yell0wsubmarine777 so would any album!

  • @H0E0M0G14 i agree but paul wrote this when they were working on the let it be album.

  • @yell0wsubmarine777 oh.... cool :)

  • @yell0wsubmarine777 It would't go with that album! the thing about Let it be is that its dark & this song is't

  • @handsomedevil98 The Beatles should have never made maggie mae and replaced it with another day

  • @yell0wsubmarine777 Also the song would be alot better if it had the Beatles on it!

  • @yell0wsubmarine777 Any Beatles album from their last period would have benefited of the McCartney-Ram songs!

  • @yell0wsubmarine777 Dude, I love that album. I agree with you, but still one of my favorite beatles album's.

  • 23 people are stuck on the day befor another day

  • @TheLordOfPies .........

  • beautifull song..mccartney is a genius..!! i like her music..!!

  • @victorecr1992 his*

  • @victorecr1992 her?? you really need better ears -,-

  • some people can sleep at night time believing that love is alive. I'm only a person like you love and who in the world can be right all the right time, I know I was wrong make me right. Paul Mccartney--- Some People

  • A PERFECT MASTERPIECE ! tHANKS PAUL !

  • This song reminds me of Bridget Jones' Diary

  • I understand Paul went through a real depression during this time--drinking heavily, not bathing often, basically morose as hell that the Beatles, which had defined him for so many years, were no more. John mentioned, I think, that Paul sounded depressed on this track, and I for one can hear it. Still catchy as hell, but I'm glad Linda kicked him in the ass and told Paul, more or less, "You are Paul eff-ing McCartney! You are a huge talent. Get over it and move on!" And he did.

  • @misterdeadly1

That's not how you treat a depressed person. "HURR DURR GET OVER IT."

  • @misterdeadly1 I think John said Paul sounded depressed on McCartney II. He liked Coming Up but thought the rest of the album sounded depressing. I'm betting he was referring to One Of These Days and Waterfalls.

  • @misterdeadly1 Dear Mister Deadly, Another Day is one of his 3 or 4 best post-Beatles songs. Your comment sounds as if it's been written by someone who reads and reiterates "rock journalism."

  • @Cielamouroux I plead guilty to having ready many books and articles about the Beatles. It is unclear to me why being well-read on a particular subject, and being able to reference that material from memory, is somehow a bad quality. As to this being one of Paul's three of four best solo songs, I respectfully disagree, but it might make my top twenty--such rankings are inherently subjective. Cheerio.

  • @misterdeadly1 woh mate, wish could make a true statement as you have, friends like you world be good place.. Very true & poignant, truly love ur attitude, never realized in my whole 32 years of being a beatles fan that he went through the binging and hell when writing this song, I always thought it was much later. around the time of flaming pie and beautiful night, but I was wrong, bloody amazing statement mate... love this song, now it seems to have more emotion behind it, thankyou..Well said

  • @misterdeadly1 I think you're right

  • @giuliana2610 dear play misty for me: this baby is in paul's 5 top post beatles songs ever. right up there with :

    1. maybe im amazed

    2. picasso's last stand (very quirky)

    3. band on the run

    4. uncle albert in no particular order as i am sleepy but it sure will be great to have paul back in chgo soon at wrigley field. would break doors down to see that. on july 31/aug 1 looks like.

best concert i ever saw of paul was in cleveland in 2002 at gund arena. had tears in my eyes.

  • @emrrbv "Every Night", "Jet", "Band on the Run" and "Letting Go" should all be on the list somewhere too

  • @misterdeadly1 Wow. I agree a million percent.

  • @misterdeadly1 that may have been true, the depression of transition may be evident but change was inevitable for both, Mind Games comes to mind.

  • 22 people are awesome for making the lines to paul mccartney concerts shorter for ME!

  • Who the hell could not love this song?

  • @jmroark80 obiously, John himself ;)

  • for@albuorkka-huh-huh -huh,duh gee tennesee , maybe you should go back to school and learn how to spell. he-haw-he-haw-he-he -he-waw. ha-he-ho-ho.
