  • HOLY **** THAT'S GOOD ****ING SERVICE!!!!!

  • The wound!!!

  • I work at a restaurant. I'm a bus boy.

I walked by a table and a man stopped me and said "there's something on my fork, would it be alright if I could get a new one?"

I laughed very hard when I took it from him.

    He probably thinks I'm mental!

    :)

  • john cleese is the best! classic Python

  • 15 people disliked this? Oh, it makes me MAD - MAD!!!

  • I want to apologize humbly, deeply, and sincerely... about the fork.

  • One of the only Monty Python sketches with a Punch Line. But since they point it out first, it makes it even funnier. =)

  • Reminds me of work -.-

  • dear oo52565285 put in world wide web oo52565285 code 052565285

  • hello oo52565285 thenk you

  • Oh- Ohmygod... I was laughing so hard I fell out of my chair!

  • テキトーな日本語です

  • Another classic Python sketch!!

  • hahah never kill a customer :)

  • And now the punch line:

"it's lucky we didn't mention that the beef was undercooked!"

  • revenge!revenge!

  • this is one of the best I've seen!

  • "Lucky we didn't say anything about the dirty knife!"

  • Sac The entire washing room staff!

  • "Good thing we didn't say anything about the dirty knife." LOL

  • How can anyone dislike Monty Python? Those naysayers have no sense of humor! And those who side with the French should be ashamed. I'd say to them, "If every Frenchie jumped off the top of the Eiffel Tower, would you do that too?" If they say yes, I'd reply, "God, you're worse than a lemming!"

  • "...never.. kill a customer"

  • I love Eric Idle

  • Is the end....., the end. i love this part

  • I love this. I love how it gradually gets better and more outrageous as time goes on. Personally I like "It is smelly and obscene and disgusting and I hate it! I hate it!"

  • i'd give that resturant 5 stars!

  • Man, I love John Cleese!

  • Excuse me, just allow me to quote one thing...

    "REVENGE!!!"

  • Just goes to show how funny Cleese is, all he has to do is walk in and people are already laughing like hell. He looks so huge with the hat it's ridiculous.

  • @b00mhauer I think that has just as much to do with how will this skit was written. The idea that the cook would come out with a knife in his hand after the situation has already escalated much too far is just brilliant. The audience has this moment where they recognize exactly what is going to happen. Your point is well-taken though, Cleese is hilarious :D

  • Ahahahah Eric's part is so awesome. xD

  • IT'S THE END!!!

  • "I hate it I hate it, I hate it!" hilarious Michael Palin

  • and thats why British people dont complain ; )

  • @WonderWoman200290 english people, the scots complain about everything for no reason.

  • @Shropshireladdie acchhh noooooooo, that cannae be treyy

  • @WonderWoman200290

Aye tis, cant fool me i been there.

  • haha. I love the reaction of Graham on the people who boeed on his punchline:P

  • Brilliant. One of the very few Python skits that actually have a punchline.

  • "Oh it makes me mad."

  • An entire masacare just becouse of a dirty fork.

Thats the magic of Monty Python for you. XD

  • Leave it to the great Pythons to turn ordinary daily events into complete chaos!

  • First of all, I never noticed how tall John Cleese is. Second, the "punch line" is so intentionally terrible, it's just awesome.

Third, I honestly think that, in a hundred years, Monty Python will be remembered as classic humour/comedy/satire in the same way we remember Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift and Gilbert and Sullivan today.

  • "You BASTARDS!!!"

Great ine, but I like John Cleese better with a mustache.

  • The acting is just perfect! It's amaizing, how they could deliver these fictional feelings. I mean, nobody in real life commits suiside because of a dirty fork.

  • i would like to apologize, humbly, and sincerly, for the fork.......*LOL* thumbs up!

  • Easy, Mongo, Easy!

  • omg. eric is hysterical in this.

  • The head waiter has, like, three accents.

  • Ten starts out of five. This rocks!

  • "Never kill a customer"

That's some sound advice right there XD

  • @BONNIE567 Trust me... I've been tempted.

  • This is sooooo funny!

    love the punch line ;D

    sorry everyone died.... :P

  • The thing about The Punch Line is hilarious, MP really didn't like those and this is their way of mocking them. :)

  • I'm tempted to sample the "YOU BASTARDS" bit to use as my Text Message Alert!

  • "YOU BASTARDS! YOU VICIOUS, HEARTLESS BASTARDS!!"

"It's the end of the rooooaddd~!!"

...All this for a little dirt on a fork.

  • @madscientist90 Yeah. If they're going to get this worked up about something as small as this I'd hate to think what they'd be like if anyone had a serious complaint!

  • Like a dirty table, you mean?

Mungo would have killed a customer, then.

  • @madscientist90 Indeed!

And if they'd got food poisoning...God help them!

  • the wound, the woooouuuund!

  • "No Mongo! Mongo!

    Never kill a costumer."

  • "ITS THE END!"

  • " to me it's like a mountain, a vast bowl of pus! " lol

  • ..that is a REAL chopper O.o ... the pythons are insane for real ...

  • I like how the other customers in the back kind of just sit there..

  • hahaha, 4:42 made me laugh my ass off

  • Definitely one of the best they did, I could watch this over and over.

  • u bastards u vicous heartles bastards! look what you've done to him lolololol

  • the punch line!

    :D

  • i think thsi was the first MP sketch i ever saw, ahhh

i love micheal palin at 1:50 xP

  • "never kill a customer!"

ahahah reply if u think that was thje funniest part!

  • One of the best things about this sketch is that there are like three people in the background who don't even look up while it is happening like this normally happens in this resturant.

  • I've always loved this sketch, really a true classic and one of the funniest of their sketches I've seen.

    John Cleese: "YOU BASTARDS!"

    "Oh it makes me mad."

Oh so classic. John Cleese pwns.

  • The Retuarant sketch. is the real namemwq

  • LOVE Mongo!

  • "Never kill a customer!"

    Classic.

  • ..it wasn't smelly

  • lukey they did not say enything about the dirty spoon

  • Mongo: REVENGE!!!!!

  • No Mongo! Never kill a customer!

    OH! THE WOUND!!!!

  • And all this over a fork. Imagine what would happen if your meat was undercooked or whatever...

  • I just love how all the other customers at the restaurant take absolutely no notice of anything going on! XD love it

  • I love it when John loses it XD

That was a really good episode, love the sketch afterwards as well XD

  • I would just like to weigh in on the debate concerning american women and monty python. I am both and I adore Python. My sisters both love python as well... I have never understood why some people don't like this kind of humour. In my experience it is more (ironically) a case of intellectual curiosity vs. willful ignorance. people who like to think like python, people who don't... don't.

  • you are both an American woman and a Monty Python?

  • I would like to say that everybody has his or her own taste. It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman, if you're from America, England, China, or any other country. If you like Monty Python (and so do I), then there's nothing wrong, right?

  • I agree on that one. I'm British and i think this is quite funny, weird at times, but funny. It's a portrayal of what we all want to do (go loopy and not care what othes think) and just have a good laugh and make other laugh in the process.

  • hahahaha

    L.O.A

  • Love the laugh at 3:35!

  • All this for a fork... it's lucky they didn't mention the dirty knife! XD

  • "wow. then Europeans are obviously prejudiced morons."

Lol. Why, because they set the standards of intellectual humour too high for Americans?

I'm Asian, and I'm all for Python-style British humour

  • Why is it that Americans can't laugh at dry humor? Are they just incapable?

  • Well I'm an American but I love Monty Python to death. I think the reason why this is so hard to appreciate for most americans is because it is not the marketed sense of humor. It seems if it's not physical or potty humor or jokes to do with sex, most people don't take interest. You can thank comedians like Dane Cook for ruining America's sense of humor as well. Even though a lot of Americans don't get this, don't discount us all, I know others besides myself who love this type of humor.

  • I've been trying to tell people this for years! I, too, am American and so many people I know don't understand why I find Monty Python funny. The type of comedy in Monty Python is very dry and subtle and not so in-your-face.

  • americans just have no sense of humor

  • yes i do think this humor is funny along with the majority of people who have seen monty python.

well if nothing inthis made you laugh you have a basic sense of humor

  • i dont know bout you but i love british humor in general

  • lol wat makes you think dont

  • lmao been a bit contradictory there rnt we

  • i suppose the American situation comedy surpasses the sketch show and surreal humour does it. Obnoxious woos and cheers at every corner, you don't understand the idea of something being funny because of the absurdity of the situation. This is brilliant stuff, whatever it is you like will no doubt be a skid mark on the arse of comedy.

  • American humor isn't all that different. Americans like loads of monty python stuff. This skit in particular was not witty, or difficult to conceive of speaking as a comedian. plus the acting skills of the group were wasted on cheap melodrama. just because it's monty doesn't mean you have to love it senselessly.

  • I understand what you mean, some of the python sketches aren't brilliant and you find yourself wanting to laugh as its Monty Python but it isn't actually funny, but this one is not one of those, this one is hilarious. The way they over react is so funny I can't see why you don't like it. If you are a woman that will be why, they never get Monty Python.

  • I beg your pardon. I am a woman and I found this to be hilarious. So please, do try to curb your ignorance and your inclination to group all women as whole. I am proof that your judgement is unfounded and completely false. It's dangerous and foolish to make assumptions. I don't know what women you know, but they don't speak for the rest of us.

  • No offense but I wouldn't be using Family Guy as a reference for backing up your viewpoint....-_-

  • Errm, Family Guy used to be funny, but all the new seasons have really begun to suck. There's a clever comment every now and then, but it seems to be overshadowed by the randomness of the storyline(or rather lackthereof). Old Family Guy was funny though. South Park is king when it comes to popular opinion though. Out of curiosity, what sort of American cartoons do you watch besides Family Guy and South Park?

  • I was going to post a reply but i accidentally pressed discard and I can't be bothered to type it again, but yes, South Park is the best at playing on social taboo.

  • John is brilliant here.

  • "RRREEEEEVVVVVENNNGGGE!!!!"

  • "Never kill a customer!" =)))

  • "It's the end!"

    "Noooooooooo!"

    "THE ENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND!!!!!!!!!!!!!" *Stabs!*

"GAAAAH HE'S DEAD!!! YOU KILLED HIM! REVENGE!!!!"

Leave it to Monty Python to take an ordinary everyday event and turn it into complete madness.

  • That's what I like about this sketch. It starts off normal but gets crazier and crazier. A lot of their sketches start off bizarre...and just get more and more bizarre.

  • Michael Palin's delivery was perfect. Absolute perfection.

  • Inspired.

"You're good, fine, KIND people for saying that. But *I* can see it. To me it's like a mountain. A vast bowl of pus!"

"There were light of the tunnel....of THIS! OF THIS! It's the end of the road! *sobs*"

    ROFLAMO

  • We are doing this skit for the talent show at school tonight. Yaya!

  • This honorable man who's boots you are not worthy to kiss

  • 4:45!

    XD

    Who is that tackling Cleese?

  • Well, isnt that Terry Jones? You know, the first waiter to come to the table.

Deffo my favourite sketch ever. :)

  • "never kill a customer!" hahaha!

  • one of my favs! lol favorited!

  • Is it me, or does Graham always play the straitlaced serious types?

  • Typacsk- Not always. Just look at the 'Silly Vicar' sketch, or the Flying lessons.'

He's awesome in any role. :)

  • what episode is this from again... i have been looking for it everywhere HAHA

  • that is probably one of the funniest sketches I have seen!!!

  • i SOOOO wanna do this to someone at the resturaunt i work at lmao

    Ahahahaha

  • "And now... The punch line."

  • Revenge! Revenge!

    Mungo! Never kill a customer!

    The wound!

  • LOL I started cracking up when the head waiter started shouting at the fork..."It's smelly and obscene and disgusting and I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!"

  • You mean pentacle, in all likelihood.

And also, stop spamming. Knights Templar, djinn, and the Illuminati don't have anything to do with Monty Python.

  • what the hell are you saying?

  • 3:27

    The greatest.

  • rofl

  • One of my favorite MP sketches. They make so much of fuss and commotion over such a simple thing, but that's what makes it funny!

  • THE WAR WOUND!!!

  • LOL

  • and now the punch line - "lucky we didn't say anything about the dirty knife xD

  • Comment removed

  • how small problems are so funny lol

  • It is a dirty fork!!!!

  • Not just Bastards...but vicious HEARTLESS BASTARDS!!!

  • lol, I love how the people in the back don't even look up once XD

  • Always makes me mad.... maaad =D

  • This a great skit, but when John Cleese walks in, it just gets better!

  • He's so incredibly tall already, and they give him a tall chef's hat.

    LOL

  • everything about this sketch is brilliant. michaels performance is so very funny :) definately my all time favourite :):) <3 mp

  • I absolutly love it when Micheal Palin goes off at 1:40 "....a dirty, filthy, SMELLY piece of Fork! Oh smelly! Obsene and disgusting! I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT!"

also when John Clesse enters "YOU BASTARDS!!"

pUNCHLINE: "lucky we didn't say anything 'bout the dirty knife!" "BOOOOOOOOOO!"
