She is a character created and performed by a man named Chuck Knipp, who happens to be white. The most recently published scholarly book on blackface is called BLACK LIKE YOU. I've read it. Have you? If not, I would suggest you do, because it might give you a different perspective on the subject.

@Roman92103 i know exactly who shirley q liquor is, i first saw a video of her routine at least a decade ago. i know he is white, hence the term "blackface" if you dont know about it (no shade intended in this statement) i really suggest reading up on it. blackface is what white minstrels did in the 1920s did in order to mock black people. shirley Q's routine is the exact same thing. and no i havent read her book, i wouldnt give a dime of my money to that person.

(3) Shirley Q. is not the "exact same thing" because the year now is 2011 and we have a black president, and we have matured to the point where we can mock EVERYONE.
