  • Free the penguins?

  • @produKtNZ Save the Penguins... Rena!

  • i agree with this video, fuck karen harding and all of those filthy criminal defense lawyers who look after scum like baby bashers, boy racers and gangsters, they are the filth of society and are not welcome in our community. GO NZ POLICE!!!

  • blah blah blah, you didnt say how you lie to and decive people everyday, you are not one of us but pretend to be when it suits, overpaid who knows? i bet its more than most, again not like us, you throw people into cages making them livestock and the courts wash youre hands when youre wrong, you should be avoided like the plage but you mess with people at random youre a standover man i dont like you and i will never trust you, youre more the enermy than any spare us the woe is me jerk

  • Awesome video and so true for every officer in any country. We are profoundly affected by the job we do and the ordinary person can not understand they way in which we are hardened because of the things we see and that we have to be hardened to do the job we do. Very few people appreciate what we do and this video might go some way to help them understand.

  • Nice to see its the same the world over...living the dream ;)

  • Great video, showing what they have to deal with every day, people bitch and moan about what a hard life they lead, but these special people get up and go to work every day to protect, and help. Sure there are some bad apples but most are fantastic and really do care for the community and its people. I'm sure many of the negative comments come from people who could never deal with the accidents, seeing death or the disrespect. They earn our gratitude every day.

  • Wow without sounding disrespectful .. maybe you need a change of career... no one is holding a gun to your head. I was a teacher..didnt like the disrespect from students so I changed my career. Move on , oh and you say your underpaid... would a million dollars a year make all your problems go away? You chose the career.. deal with it or move on... sorry ..needs to be said.

  • @jetsta the video is not about being unhappy in the job, it is about helping ignorant ppl like you understand what police deal with, that police are profoundly affected by all the madness they see. Do you think you could do this job? many ppl think they can and many don't make it past the first year.

  • @jetsta and Police just want a decent pay rise so they can keep doing what they do, very few people can do this job and do it well and those who do should be paid well.

  • What is the platitude by the Unknown Constable called? Would love to have a copy of it.

  • When I was young I had experiences with the police that made me a little bitter, however ,I now realise why, at times they get intolerant & unreasonable, some of the attitudes posted here,& the video itself, explains the difficulty & impossibility of always being the 'nice guys'.

  • Some of the posts here are undoubtibly by idiots that this video is aimed at, police need appreciation & support , I bet even some of the bravados here have used them at some stage in their miserable lives...

  • They put 'dope users' between 'meth addicts' and 'violent drunkards' lol wtf is wrong with a bit on harmless dope smoking?

  • That vas a very moving video, all the stuff our men in blue have to deal with.

  • To all the haters of the police. You all need to get a life and take a very hard look at yourself beacause if your house gets robbed, who you gonna call?? If you get assaulted, who you gonna call?? If someone crashes into you,who you gonna call?? The answer is the POLICE...

  • @MaTtYbOyNz100 Maybe so... but on the other hand you obviously have never been fucked over by power hungry police officers...

  • @stuthemoo ppl who get fucked over usually get fucked over because they deserve to be.

  • I had nothing against police until one of my friends (who is african but has lived in new zealand his whole life) borrowed his mates car, stopped to get a drink from a dairy and got thrown to the ground, kicked in the head repeatedly and arrested, they didn't even believe the car was his when they called his friend who it belonged to and asked him!

That was 3 weeks ago in Wellington

  • @WakeEveryoneUp I cry bullshit!

  • Thanks for making NZ a safer place to be!!!. NZ is the least corrupt country in the world. Im sure the NZ police help with that reputation. Thanks for making paradice safe.

  • Dis is why I respect authority so much. They have to deal with SO much bullcrap.

  • Comment removed

  • Not sure who ever said you were overpaid and guess what bro? You chose to be a cop.

  • @Chili440 They choose to protect you every day and night, they choose to put their life on the line so NZ is a better place, they choose to do something most people wouldn't be willing to do. Are you willing to be a cop and put up with the shit they deal with?

  • @Isiahkan Nope. That's why I choose not be a cop. Do you know anyone who thinks NZ Police are overpaid? I sure don't.

  • you've been hit with a head? so what he just decapitated someone and just started swinging it around?

  • Kia Kaha NZ Police. The HUGE majority of us believe and trust in you. Dont let the scum get you down, or the PC (Politically Correct) superior's cloud your vision. Do what is right, and look after yourselves.

    Cheers

  • @POMCTMIORINA

    No Thanks!

  • If You Don't Like Cops, Then Why Don't You Try Doing Their Job, You Only Hate Cops Cause You Got Caught Doing Something Uterlly Stupid. Their Job Isn't Easy, Yeah Sure Some Of Them Are Real A-holes at Times, But Most Are Risking Their Lives Everyday, Just As Much As Those In The Military. Have You Seen WHat Our Country Is Coming To!?! Their Are More Killing Going On Then There Has Ever Been! And They Have To Deal With These Type Of Ppl Everyday.UntilYou've Actually Done The Jod Of A cop,SHUT UP!

  • @Pomaori

    Koretake!!!

  • @spieghtsandmates Whats that supposed to mean ? Im useless because i dont like the police ? Just my opinion mate. Not everyone who does there job is good at it.

  • @Pomaori

sure there are bad apples and useless ones, but there are bad apples in every group... to tarnish all 8,000+ because of a few bad apples is the same as labelling all Maori on the dole, which is far from the truth. The P in FTP should be changed to Politicians, they are responsible for a lot of crap that happens nowadays.

  • @spieghtsandmates Thats what im saying too. Probably are some decent cops out there but in my personal experience they are complete power-obsessed cunts.

  • @Pomaori Exactly, so why paint all with one brush?

  • @Pomaori I could say Fuck The Maoris because I've watch 'Once were warriers'. It's no different you saying FTP. Do you see how narrow minded your comment is?

  • @40271077 Not too sure what your going on about. Once were warriors is a fictional story with fictional characthers. Cops are real life people(although someone should tell them that) Its extremely different as racism is about the most narrow minded state of mind you could posses - in fact even inferring it is disgusting. I hope your not a cop but wouldn't surprise me. Disliking a occupation because of personal experience is nothing like racism.

  • Comment removed

  • @Pomaori Pomaori Of course it is EXACTLY like racism. To form an opinion about a group (wether that group is a race, religious group or an occupation) based on the behaviour of a handful of people IS basically racism. You said rightly say that racism is a narrow state of mind... yet you are doing exactly the same thing to police. Remember that police are made up of a broad group of people. Most police forces have thousands of officers. How can you judge them all on the actions of a very few???

  • @40271077 Mate racism is nothing like disliking the police. You're not a policeman 24/7. You cant just go home and your race is changed either. The police as an organization bread a state of mind that i strongly disagree with and that dehumanizes people and creates zombies. If you think races create their own personality dispositions than you are a racist . I don't even know why you're even bringing my race into this, the police have NEVER suffered the persecution that ethnic minorities have.

  • @Pomaori

The connotation is the same. Ultimately we judge groups whether they be ethnic, professional, whatever, by the few bad apples and bad experiences we have. If you can come up with a viable alternative to Police then I am sure most people including cops would be keen. But somehow i don't think our violent, drug & alcohol abusing society/culture is ready for that. If anything it should be F Society for needing a Police Force and crapping on them.

  • @spieghtsandmates I understand where you're coming from but an organization bares no resemblance to a race - they are not even remotely similar. All police have to think similar its part of their job. In a race we are all individuals. In the police their is no room for individualism. Its good to hear that you agree that society would be alot better if we didnt need police but of course there is a need for there role. I just wish we spent the money and bettering the lower ends of society.

  • @Pomaori

    FY!

  • Anyone who says "FTP" has obviously done something stupid to get noticed by the police.......

Don't envy the police as they have to deal with these idiots in our society but I wouldn't mind becoming a recruit someday.

  • An awesome and very emotional video! Well done & thank you. We, (I shared this with two of my mates), appreciate your comments regarding common sense... I don't know what is happening to our country, it seems to be becoming more and more tolerant of heinous crimes - maybe we should lobotomise the really bad ones and be done with it... God knows we can't live with these scum any longer. Anyway, thank you for your courage, honour and dedication! All the best.

  • overpaid and usless.

  • @VanMad13 I'm sure you are.

  • @MadCowsRule

VanMad must either be lawyer or on the dole!

  • Well done, unless you've been there no one can comprehend just how hard it can be ......

  • i feel sorry for those cops, i know i cant be anywhere near lowerclass crims, they are just so filthy and brainless, and the cops sacrfice years of their life to to try and make thing better get them off the street, just to have them back on the street 10 mins later, one of the worst if not the worst thing about this country

  • the police should just give up and quit the job

  • God bless and protect all you fine men and women of the New Zealand Police force!

  • i am humble 2 you. sorry, Take care

  • I apologize for my comments in the past, It seems you a hv seen.

    so did i.

    peace to you

  • All I can say to this is FTP, and I've never once been charged with anything. I have been constantly harrased by the NZPF for years now, and I doubt that will change. Once the pigs start carrying guns, so will I. They are the real criminals. Just watch the vid of the Whakatane man in the cell. Disgusting. FTP

  • @AlphaSkyline32 . You live in a fantasy world mate. Go back to your dinky little elves and magic mushrooms down on lollipop lane and leave the real world to those who live in it.

  • @Usag1Yoj1mbo and I take it your a pig or your related to a pig? Or, you've never harrased by someone who you can't legally harras back? Have you even seen the vid of the whakatane man being tortured in the cell? I lied before, I have a charge from the cops. It's for driving my car past 10pm (while I was on my restricted) at 8:30pm. I will post the ticket in a vid. AND I HAD TO PAY IT. Explain to me how that isn't corruption, abuse of power, or harrassment.

  • @AlphaSkyline32 . No, I'm not a cop. I just love how all you simpletons think because you had one bad experience with one bad egg the whole force must be corrupt. Get a life. I could care less about the Whakatane man, there's 2 sides to every story and CCTV only shows some of it. The fact is, if you don't break the law, your dealing with the police is very very limited. Just make sure your drop your name to your local cops so that they know not to come and help you if you need it. Loser.

  • @Usag1Yoj1mbo If even one cop out there actually tried to help me, then I would change my view of them. The entire reason criminals here in NZ get limited sentences is because the cops can't make any money off someone in jail. It's cheaper to send them back out to re offend and get another charge on them.it doesn't matter if your a criminal or not, the cops will always try to find something to pin on you. People like you only worsen the problem by giving them an "above the law" status.

  • @AlphaSkyline32 . Just so you know mate, the cops don't actually have anything to do with sentencing criminals. The Ministry of Justice does that job and not a very good one because the cops I know say they would rather the judges issue out much tougher and longer penal sentences than the pathetic tripe that is generally issued. The police, essentially are servants of the Court, in that they bring people who have offended in front of it to be "judged". Comprende?

  • @AlphaSkyline32 - Are you on drugs or just stupid..? As if we need a response....

  • Absolute respect!

  • Much respect ladys and gentlemen you do a job a service that i am not man enough to do so respect to you all

  • Excellent video, and translates well to North America, especially for me here in Canada. I've got almost 35 full years in, just waiting to firm up what I will do in my retirement. Carry on with pride, guys and gals!

  • Gotta hand it to the Police. It's rotten sometimes, but also sweet in some aspects. When you get called a PIG, embrace it... P.I.G...Professionalism,Integregrity, Guts. That's what it takes.

  • Great video, hits home for coppers everywhere I imagine, have shared this with colleagues in QLD who find appreciation for it.

  • The NZ police may not be the smartest bunch, but they sure know how to dish out traffic fines.

  • @ImEasyAs More to it than that mate. Try being one yourself. Then, and only then, will you appreciate what goes on.

  • If only this was an accurate view of the NZ Police, unfortunately it is far from the truth for a majority of frontline staff who are sent out to spend most of their time running "traffic scams" to pull in money for the Govt., even worse this is more often than not prioritized above everything else incl. but not limited to (the recently exposed) child abuse cases.

I only wish this vid was a fully accurate portrayal of the NZ Police!.

  • @godfathergee69 You have got to be kidding? I am not a cop, but I have lived in worked in several of new zeland's major cities and have watched the shit that the cops have to put up with the MAJORITY of their working lives...and it aint traffic that fills this space. You are obvilously both ignorant, and biased...I am unsure which is the bigger judgement on you!

  • @godfathergee69 Remember, this is one cops account of his career so far. Mine was only a few years and it's very very accurate. Ticketing is only a small part for the general duties cop, but (i suppose) a big part for the STU or Motorway patrol.

  • Im so proud to say im a Kiwi rite now. Our police are not the most technologically advance but we are the best in what we do i believe..thats taking care of our people. This video has inspired me a lot to carry on with the vigorous and demanding training im doing rite now for the police.... thank u to whoever made this video for the inspiration mate.

  • Fantastic video. After getting home from work tonight, just make me realize there are so many of us that get treated like crap. But not only by the grubs out there, but by our so called "management" also. Our political butt kissers here in Cairns, Qld Australia are so engrossed in their own world, they have forgotten the workers, the General Duties coppers, the ones who get shat on day and night while they sit in the office having "meetings"...........

  • @thesnarkler

I agree with everything you have said, Cairns GD's, its really the bottom rung of the ladder, treated with contempt by all, including those managers who are supposed to be looking after us, but unfortunately more interested in looking after themselves, and their careers.....

  • How very true. Qld is the same after 25yrs of policing same shit.

  • Friggin fantastic - sums up my last 15 years perfectly.

  • Brother in Arms certainly knows the deal - Big Ups

  • Wow! Another awesome vid mate, well done.

  • Great video. I'd been wondering when the next one was coming. 10 out of 10.

  • A great video that really hits home...Proud to do the job and work with GREAT people. A job that always make me think everyday before I come to work...."I WONDER WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN TODAY?"

    MEAN Post!

  • Awesome vid! Keep up the good work :-)

  • Kia Kaha NZ Police

  • Nice one matey, been a while good work!

  • I don't recall anyone in the public whom YOU serve saying your overpaid! You, along with nurses, and teachers are so UNDER paid it's not funny. I sure it can a shit of a job particularly when those you know are 100% guiltly get off scott free via a legal/political loophole. I with you. Just remember ONE THING. I great majority of the public appreciate what YOU do, we just don't say it enough, so here goes, THANK YOU... We love cops, we hate politicians
