@tomuchfun02 This all sounds good, but I'm not sure that Declan can tour with Route 66 or anyone else because of his contract issues. So until those are solved I doubt that we will be seeing him do any tour. Trust me when I say I wish that we could see him on stage again and the sooner the better. But we fans will just have to be faithful until then.

I did find it in youtube and actually wait to listen till finish (Paul's version) and I personally think he got some attitude in the singing, probably. In that matter, yes he is definitely good or actually is better than Declan.
But to say Declan is nothing in comparison, dude (or girl?) I think you have tone deaf? cuz you I think Declan has smexy voice and his way of singing makes me want to follow it rather than just listen to.

DeClan's version is okay but he is not Paul Carrack. If you watch Mike and the Mechanics performed at the 1990 Grammy, Paul Carrack really touches everyone. Every emotional. BTW, most bloggers here say how sweet and lovely DeClan is. The message of the song is about the relationship between a father and a son. If you go to M & M version, you see the posts there are about how much they missed their loved ones. Ooh here, DeClan is so cute, I want to hug him. Totally different perspective.

I have seen and heard him for years. In this video he has black bags under his eyes and looks exhausted. I hope he has not gotten into drugs to preform like a guy in the US who just died from drugs. It always seems the good singers get hooked because their loving fans push them to give too much. Its all take. He looks like he could use a year of vacation and running around. Maybe even two. I would hate to see all his work go to not because of needed fans.

@Consuela15 The reason he decided not to was because they wouldn't let him sing live and they wanted to pick which songs he would sing. I hear that he will be singing in 6 shows in England with the cast of Route 66 starting July 22. I wish him all the luck in the world as he comes back to us his fans.
Sorry people, but this was also pre-recorded in the afternoon on that same day , The german tv' shows are mostly recorded earlier and put on the air at night or a week later also most artist are singing along with a tape
I agree with you. But at least there is no Law that exists against kids singing live on TV in Germany. He hates lip syncing, and I don't blame him and said he aint gonna do it on any more shows...Just Live singing. ( :

Actually, he's home in England last I heard. But where he'll be when and if I get there, I don't know. I'll keep a track of any future concert schedules of course, but he said he's not planing on doing the concert tours for a while, just the odd gig so he can write songs. He loves to go out Jamming in his spare time with other musicians/singers playing acoustic and learning the electric guitar. Very ambitious young fellow. Plus he loves to watch (and play) soccer and ruby games. ( ;

The Living Years..Declan is singing it LIVE! He does it with perfect, flawless sychronization. Get a magnifiying glass and see how not one facial feature or muscle is out of alighnment with the notes that flow from his sweet lips. Trust me, this is live too. ( :

You can try and Google that so-called German "law" into oblivion and you wont find it...'cause it aint there. I've tried, but there are no such links, nada. Too, I've noticed that there are obviously other videos here of Declan singing "live" on German TV but the video person didn't put "live" on the description at the top-right, where it says Suscribe. Yeh he's 17 now... But on December he'll be 18.... And for just a few days ago he has declined an invitation from MDR tv because HE DOESNT WANT TO LIPSYNCH ANYMORE!!! HE REALLY WANT TO SING LIVE BUT THEY DONT LET HIM DO THAT!!!! And I think that's why he looked sad singing this song.........
Don't believe everything you hear. I Googled this notion abt "not being able to sing in Germany until one was 18 yrs old, and it's NOT true. It's a choic...some performers at times like to lipsync for various reasons.
I saw Declan in an interview here on UTube in which he said that sometimes performers "prefer to lipsync," it's a choice, not mandatory. So, even when Declan turns 18 he can still choose to lipsync. It looks like he's singing "live" here and he most probably is.
I've tried many times and ways to Google some info on this topic but got "nothing" about "German entertainers having to be 18 before they can "sing live on TV." Perhaps it's because the info may be in the German language? I don't know.
I think we can find out the facts via Declan's website and Forum (FOB) but when I tried to join I couldn't get in there. I have to figure out the problem. I could see all the neat photos and info re Declan but couldn't pose a question.

@Consuela15 The reason he decided not to was because they wouldn't let him sing live and they wanted to pick which songs he would sing. I hear that he will be singing in 6 shows in England with the cast of Route 66 starting July 22. I wish him all the luck in the world as he comes back to us his fans.

Sorry people, but this was also pre-recorded in the afternoon on that same day , The german tv' shows are mostly recorded earlier and put on the air at night or a week later also most artist are singing along with a tape

Actually, he's home in England last I heard. But where he'll be when and if I get there, I don't know. I'll keep a track of any future concert schedules of course, but he said he's not planing on doing the concert tours for a while, just the odd gig so he can write songs. He loves to go out Jamming in his spare time with other musicians/singers playing acoustic and learning the electric guitar. Very ambitious young fellow. Plus he loves to watch (and play) soccer and ruby games. ( ;

There is a law in germany that prevent singers under 18 to sing live

You can try and Google that so-called German "law" into oblivion and you wont find it...'cause it aint there. I've tried, but there are no such links, nada. Too, I've noticed that there are obviously other videos here of Declan singing "live" on German TV but the video person didn't put "live" on the description at the top-right, where it says Suscribe. Yes, that's what I've been trying to say to many folks here. On another Show interview he said that "some" Shows prefer them to lip sync, but not all shows. He's singing Live here, for example. He loves to sing live he said. ( :

Declan said in a interview that he didn't wanted to lip-sing. And he did said no to a show because he had to lip-sing, it's only in German. :-)

no I don't think so. I watched a interview and he said : abour lip-sing i don't like it, because I'm a singer and I want to sing live!. So i think it's a law, everybody say's so, And I cant belive that Declan will choise to lip-sing. :-)

I think it´s not his choise, but of someone else, jenniemalfoy wrote it could be his manager who made that choise..., there are lots of humans he needed for beeing that, what he´s now, so it´s not true...
if it´s a law I can´t sing, too..baahhh....but i´ll ask my teachers.. somebody have to know it....!!!

Yeh he's 17 now... But on December he'll be 18.... And for just a few days ago he has declined an invitation from MDR tv because HE DOESNT WANT TO LIPSYNCH ANYMORE!!! HE REALLY WANT TO SING LIVE BUT THEY DONT LET HIM DO THAT!!!! And I think that's why he looked sad singing this song.........

Don't believe everything you hear. I Googled this notion abt "not being able to sing in Germany until one was 18 yrs old, and it's NOT true. It's a choic...some performers at times like to lipsync for various reasons.
