option expiration day is usually choppy rather than trending. if it had been a trend day averagers would have got stuffed [perhaps for weeks]. also they would need large margins on account.

i know people who do average. they would probably average every 100pts or so depending upon the instrument.

Thanks for your comments. Idea was to show inexperienced traders how dangerous this can be as they can quickly get into deep water. Agreed plenty of houses average, but with very deep pockets and better risk management than most private traders
