And to think I spent my whole summer holiday in 1976 mowing lawns so I could afford this! Little did I know that in 2012 I could download the whole LP for nothing!

My first Beatles "album" was 'A Collection of Beatles Oldies', my second 'Rock N Roll music Volume 2'. This was a cheap way for a teenager to get into the Beatles back in the late 80s, early 90s because EMI charged alot less for these than they did the standard albums and there was no Youtube to test drive music. Of course, in the end I ended up paying for everything I could get my hands on.

Where did you find this? I have been looking for it forever. The england version is all screwed up and this one is the one I grew up with.

My brothers had this and I loved it as a kid and still do. I still remember the coke glasses on the records. When I got the cassetes I always had to play the second side first as they screwed up the chronoligical order of the songs. Thanks for this incredibler post.

Vladislavbgd, is this from the actual vinyl 33 and a third record album by Capitol/EMI, or is this off of a bootleg CD, 8 track, reel-to-reel, or cassette tape? I don't hear any pops or cracks or surface noise so it doesn't sound like a vinyl LP. It sounds too clean to be a vinyl album played with a needle. Also, the sound breaks down with "Revolution", the balance, and "Birthday" is too fast. The sound is excellent overall but it sounds in digital mode, not analog. Is your source vinyl?

@Vladislavbgd Does your source contain the tracks before the 2009 remasters? Are the tracks off the US Capitol double album or the UK album from 1976? There are some differences in the two versions. When this album came out, I had all the songs on it except "I'm Down", which was a B side, so there was no need to buy it. They did not use George Martin's remasters so there was nothing new in this release back then.
