  • hey, anyone know where i can get hold of 'Sacha Sacha' by Leon Ware, ...adrianjbsn@yahoo.co.uk

  • LA and OC have become so overrated, San Diego is where its at nowadays

  • For some reason I daydream myself cruising through L.A at night with a Black SLR showing the reflections of city lights on the hood with this song playing.

  • DId he say, "far away from Compton"?

  • Leon Ware is an Incredible under appreciated Legend. Such an incredible concepts withiun his music theory arrangements. Obvious Jazz influenced structures with Latin and Avante Garde type of R&B grooves. So sweet.

  • "That is why I came to California. It's the strangest groove I've ever known." Wow, this was a wonderful song...the album ain't bad either. But this was just such a mellow groove. You could just picture the places in California while listening to this. Leon Ware, so underrated!

  • @BoneGfunk brilliant track...!!!

  • in my top ten Jams of all times

my father used to listen ta it every day back in summer 83.

  • Sampled for "Keep On" by Sly Boogy, Crooked I & Kam ; )

  • my drunk at 6 in the morning tune

  • Bought the 12" version of this back in the day, cost a small fortune, but worth every penny. Classic!

  • I love when they both sing together in the end "Watching all those pretty gurls ..... it gets really strange in Venice ...... there's a different attitude". This would be a great song for a 1 night stand at a place like "San Tropicana Resort" in sleazy Mexico where all the fugitives are.... "I can feel the road is leading to the TREASURE that will guide me"..... "it's the free-est groove that I have ever known."

  • Never made me move to California, but it made the Texas Sunsets look better back in the day!
