This really makes me sad... I used to solo everything on rdm/nin and now with abyssea and all the level upgrades I doubt I could even do a lot of this anymore all the atmas and cruor buffs have spoiled me too much.

@hmongtheman1 Nah, it's been a couple years since I last played FFXI. I tried XIV for a bit, but that game was just terrible at launch, so I've pretty much just been playing Call of Duty on PS3, and some Dragon Age Origins on PC.

Wind merits are usually for silence and gravity.

I haven't gotten around to dropping the wind merits yet, and I don't merit very often.

Now I have 5/5 slow II and 5/5 bio III with 3 ice and 2 wind acc.

When I did this, I think I had something like 3 slow II and a few in para II.

I like to solo him with cere dagger xD tho gains abit more tp so might have to use remedys/echos ^^ I need to get a swift belt for recasts but the nm hates me ._.

I believe I was using something like Terra's Staff, Bugard Strap +1, Duelist's Chapeau, Enfeebling Torque, Errant Hpl., Devotee's Mitts +1, Aqua Ring, Tamas Ring, Prism Cape, Penitent's Rope, Mahatma Slops, and Mahatma Pigaches.

Earrings were just whatever I had on at the time (usually Loquacious and Antivenom).

Yeah, that was mostly the reason. This was only the second time I'd ever soloed it; the first was before tier II merits (Slow II mainly) were added, and I had to rely on Bind/Gravity a lot more then.

I figured with Slow II and better gear/experience, it shouldn't be too hard straight up. I did use bind a couple times this fight, but really didn't need to. Was never in any danger the whole fight.
