I too remember this song so vividly, you see I lost my mother on March 7, 2006. They sang this song at her funeral, she was only 64 and I can still hear the song as it resinates in my ears. I miss her every second of everyday. One of my older brothers sang this song in her ear as she lay they on the hospital bed, it truly is a beautiful song and I want to thank you for putting it here for all of us to hear. I sang this song at my grandmother's funeral. when i use to sing it in church she would stop me and whisper..." honey, you sing this too beautiful.....i can't listen without crying. Could you not sing this....til i am gone" and that is what I did. a young woman and i sang it at the service....i hung on to the end...cuz that is what she would have wanted me to do....be strong. This version, is just too close to how we sounded that day....made me weep. i miss her so very very much. good job.
