Failed workout. All you're doing is building the muscle underneath the layer of fat. You have to do cardio or a combination of high intensity workouts to burn calories and fat. Otherwise those love handles will not decrease with this exercise alone. You get out what you put in....
A better way is rest the broom or dowl rod on your shoulders just below/behind, then slowly twist from waist as far as you can to left, then back again to right. Do one long set working up to about 100, even 200 reps. Another, grap a weight plate or even a bowling ball in a bag in one hand letting that arm hang at side motionless while sucking in your abs slowly lower opposite side while remaining upright. Repeat reversing using other arm. will work obliques nicely.

HOW TO LOSE FAT

@Amber1Angel Hi I take a fitness class so I did my research......To answer your question, I'll give it to the 5th or 6th day for you soreness to die down, and 2 to 3 weeks for your results to show.....I think you're going to look great....Hint on what I do try lifting your knees while doing this workout and and you would be good in no time
this excerise will not make you lose love handles but it could tone your muscles in the area of the love handles. diet excerise lose the fat then tone with this excerise

i read somewhere that you shouldn't stretch out like that when trying to lose love handles because the stretch part is not good you will just stretch out your skin more and make it worse... true or false? fa man it's like who do you listen to lol

I have been doing this exercise every other day going two times through this video. Since I only have about 3 inches of love handles to lose, do you think I can get rid of them before school starts? Or should I increase it to every day to accomplish my goal?

This exercise will strengthen and develop the "love handle" muscles but you cannot choose where to lose body fat, it just gets lowered as a whole. Only way to reduce love handles is reduce total body fat, period.
What is something to do to lose fat before you begin toneing up. I have been trying to lose weight..Was abt 290 down to 229 now. In a course of a year. Now I hit a plateau, stuck...everything else is shrinking but my upper arms and belly! Will this help me or not?!? I have horrible love handles.

I walk and bike ride. Think that's where one of my problems I have gotten so settle with my workouts. I found some cardio dvd's to workout with. I hope they help. I am 226 now my goal is to reach between 140-150. Run?? dang 7-10 miles..how did do it?? treadmill or what?
@butterflyface07 The BEST program for losing fat on your stomach is called Shapely Secrets in 7, another is Body Fit, both by Greer Childers. (find on amazon.com for cheap). All of her programs worked for me within a few days. Even the first day I could feel my stomach muscles firming up. The program involves taking a deep breath before each stretch or position, which gets the oxygen to your brain a (more alert all day) nd to your fat where it BURNS it off.
@butterflyface07 I hate to burst your bubble, but there is no such thing as toning up. Toning up means that you are turning your fat into muscle and that does not happen in your body. If you build more muscle you burn more calories at rest and that burns fat and causes you to loose weight. Also, this video gives you the impression that you can spot train and loose weight in a certain areas of your body. This is also physiologically impossible. You can only loose overall weight. Hope this helps.
This sure looks like a way to lose those inches on the side that are so tough to get rid of, but I'm wondering about one of those ab belt things I've been seeing, sure seems easier than this!
ittle be better to do dumbells cause wieghtliftin wont get you bulky unless you get higher weights every day and when you build muscle in an area itl will kick the fat out over time

Man.. good job.. great video, been doing this for two weeks now, 4 times a week... and I have seen the results!! I took a photo of the before and after and I can see some difference, however I also did 30min of cardio every time before doing this exercise.. Keep it up!
That does NOT work. Love handles are from fat, so burning fat is the way to remove them. This is like trying to do crunches to have abs while being fat. Running for 40 minutes before breakfast, or swimming, or playing tennis will burn love handles much much faster than this. And you will not get rid of love handles if you are eating three burgers worth of love handles. Eat little and burn a lot to lose them.

Not to bash your video, but if losing fat was as simple as stretching with a broom twice a week, then no fitness models would be working out in a gym 4 times per week while following a strict diet. Stretching does not get rid of love handles, you gotta lose fat through diet and in most cases, some cardio. for optimal results and body composition, get some weight training in there
This is absolutely ridiculous! The only way to get rid of "love handles" is to lower your overall body fat percentage. It is impossible to lose fat in one particular area, eating right and doing cardio is the only way to achieve a lean body. Doing ab exercises contribute VERY little to how lean you are.

@butterflyface07 The BEST program for losing fat on your stomach is called Shapely Secrets in 7, another is Body Fit, both by Greer Childers. (find on amazon.com for cheap). All of her programs worked for me within a few days. Even the first day I could feel my stomach muscles firming up. The program involves taking a deep breath before each stretch or position, which gets the oxygen to your brain a (more alert all day) nd to your fat where it BURNS it off.

@butterflyface07 I hate to burst your bubble, but there is no such thing as toning up. Toning up means that you are turning your fat into muscle and that does not happen in your body. If you build more muscle you burn more calories at rest and that burns fat and causes you to loose weight. Also, this video gives you the impression that you can spot train and loose weight in a certain areas of your body. This is also physiologically impossible. You can only loose overall weight. Hope this helps.

ittle be better to do dumbells cause wieghtliftin wont get you bulky unless you get higher weights every day and when you build muscle in an area itl will kick the fat out over time

O..yes it works....but you have to repeat them over and over again.....do it often and combine with cardio workout......at least 30 min.a day......

dude i think this works cuz i always excersise and stuffs like that, but i alway see my love handels then i excersise and did these excersice then the next day i noticed my love handels were kinda gone :)

i hope this works and doesnt make my waist wider like in the previous comment. i need to work out in home. i am a stay at home mother and need to be home with my child.i hope this works. i have back fat,love handles that start at my waist and go up my back and also abdominal fat.i wonder if you are even still here.?

Man.. good job.. great video, been doing this for two weeks now, 4 times a week... and I have seen the results!! I took a photo of the before and after and I can see some difference, however I also did 30min of cardio every time before doing this exercise.. Keep it up!

That does NOT work. Love handles are from fat, so burning fat is the way to remove them. This is like trying to do crunches to have abs while being fat. Running for 40 minutes before breakfast, or swimming, or playing tennis will burn love handles much much faster than this. And you will not get rid of love handles if you are eating three burgers worth of love handles. Eat little and burn a lot to lose them.

Not to bash your video, but if losing fat was as simple as stretching with a broom twice a week, then no fitness models would be working out in a gym 4 times per week while following a strict diet. Stretching does not get rid of love handles, you gotta lose fat through diet and in most cases, some cardio. for optimal results and body composition, get some weight training in there

This is absolutely ridiculous! The only way to get rid of "love handles" is to lower your overall body fat percentage. It is impossible to lose fat in one particular area, eating right and doing cardio is the only way to achieve a lean body. Doing ab exercises contribute VERY little to how lean you are.
