Smart Growth is an strong idea. Hopefully we can all make this happen.

Smart Growth originated in the Soviet Union in a more extreme form in the 1970's. Poland, East Germany, China, Ukraine, etc. In America, it's the reverse of the suburban sprawl created by conventional zoning, but interferes in the marketplace to oversupply urbanism and reduce the supply of suburban and exurban property. Form Based Codes should be used to develop Town Centers minimally, and only enough to meet the supply for mixed use (apartments, cafes, offices, fish markets, etc).

I've been looking for something like this for a while. Now I can say that I know how smart growth works to a degree, in addition to knowing what is involved. I'm so jealous of those students. That is what I want to do!
