the graphics were so ahead of it's time. looks like some Killer instinct graphics 3D chip.

Nintendo should make more games like this. the smooth game play and awesome digitized realistic graphics make both Killer instinct and donkey Kong 10/10!

I remember the very first time I played this game, seeing it on display at Target when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old. It completely blew me away. I'd never seen such an amazing-looking game before. I got the game for Christmas that year, and spent the whole day playing it and loving every second. Between DKC and Earthworm Jim, 1994 was a year when non-Japanese developers really showed their stuff.

I have a Super NES and DKC, but when I tried to hook it up to play, I could get it to turn on but the TV wasn't registering it. I tried the cable hook-up (I don't actually have cable, if that's a factor), the VCR, and even the DVD player, but nothing worked. I'm wondering if either the coaxial on the TV is bad or I need a new power cord for the Super NES. I really miss playing this game and any suggestions on what might help would be great.

Man this game was ahead of its time. Even to this day I am amazed that Rare was able to pack these kind of graphics into an SNES game. This game became the standard for all other SNES games to live up to, much like Ocarina of Time did on the N64.

I hear you. I didn't have an SNES (even though I think it was the better system). I did have a Sega Genesis though and I'd left it at a relative's house for awhile since I wasn't using it (so kids could have something to play when they came over). Turns out they got rid of it without asking me if I wanted it back, all my games too... That was a sad day. RIP Streets of Rage 2.
