I noticed your videos are sped up... did you do that just for the fun "silent film" effect, or is your camera limited to a lower frame rate?
(The camera i'm thinking about buying is limited to something like 8fps, that's why i'm asking. I gather that has to do with export restrictions on thermal imagers, not a limitation of the sensor.)
Also, it looks like you live in Germany. Is it true that the US has export restrictions to Germany for thermal imagers? It seems silly as there are probably plenty of companies in the EU that make them.
Yes, I've meanwhile found another company that sells EU-made cameras operating at 50fps, which are actually *less* expensive with otherwise similar specs (apart from weighing about twice as much and being more rugged). I had found the frame rate limit / export restriction notice on both FLIR (for the US) and NEC (for Japan) imagers; the latter had an explicit list of countries the device may not be shipped to under any circumstances (like, Afghanistan).
