This performance was designed and performs specifically for other dancers within the community, NOT for general consumption. The humor in it both refers to past performances as well as insights and inside jokes with the Tribal Community.

I am not a belly dancer, but I am a huge fan of tribal as well as the many other forms of belly dancing and I get the humor of the performances. Every once in a while it is great to see performers do something funny and humorous, especially in tribal.

Am I seeing the same thing as everyone else here? who is influencing the original rachel brice into this pantomime! I hate all this comedic stage show and why has it all gone frenchy vintage cowboy burlesque - gypsy style dancing. It looks nice, I suppose, light hearted entertainment but I think its such a backwards step for rachel in particular. The gypsy style is a lot sloppier and isn't she brilliant for her unbelievable muscular control

I know why you feel like that, the indigo is great after you get used to it and learn how to apreciate, sometimes people get that reaction because it is very different from the traditional colorful bellydancing; tribal bellydancing is just different from anything else, and not everybody can appreciate it. in my opinion ITS JUST GREAT, I LOVE IT!!

...before all this she was like this untouchable mythical creature, she had such piercing stage presence, sometimes she would just pause and look across with a look on her almost expressionless face of silent inner allknowingnous as she scanned across the audience. The respect and amazement the audience had, people where speachless. She's loosing the magic rapidly, the ace rachel wouldn't put that on her head, smile laugh and joke to your audience.

And the head loc stuff mixed with all those amazing combinations, fanfrickentastic. I could watch from 2:33 to the end over and over. I think this is easily the best performance I have seen in years and I have seen alot of them. You are so entertaining.

I am absolutely in love with Tribal belly dance.. but it seems like the more tribal I watch, the less I like the other forms of belly dance. I really want to like them all, but for some reason the more drawn I become to Tribal, the less I appreciate the other kinds. Go figure :/
