  • May I, a fellow (albeit fledgling) Thelemite, add something?

People often confuse Crowley's Thelema, with the concept that predated Crowley by a few years, the Thelema of Francois Rabelais: the only difference is, essentially, Crowley's Thelema focus on the Will, the True Will, as the Higher Purpose. (I hope that I'm not over-stepping any Liber AL boundaries in stating this here) Whereas Rabelais's version of Thelema was a depraved, hedonistic abbey, where anarchy was well-established.

  • 93!

Frater, you are missing an essential point which is not my position to discuss. A thought of correction is love under will if you may consider the law as a whole.

  • Scotsman but he liked to refer to himself as an Irishman go back and look again either way he was gaelic which he knew very well I only wish he had put as much effort into celtic mysteries as he had put into greek and egyptian.Aw well theres still work to be done Nuit strands of hair need colour put back into them there are many more trees to be explored.OGHAM Grian is in 666

  • crowley was an Irishman gaelic to be precise I think he may have been old white knee himself

  • @hartejoseph I'm not sure how you figure that. He was clearly born and raised in England.

  • Furthermore, the will of the individual and the universal will must be one and the same. If it is not, the individual is separated from the universe and suffers accordingly. "Initiation, the traveling inwards toward the self". To know thyself is the first step, for without it you will be surely lost and succumb to the effects of Choronzon, the demon of dispersion. The antidote then becomes silence, to control the mind and body. "The will must not be two but one"!

  • Do what thou wilt, does not imply that any individual has the right to do whatever they want regardless of who it hurts. "It is the apotheosis of freedom, but it is also the strictest possible bond". It means that we find our true destiny in life, our true purpose and follow it. This requires that we analyze ourselves to discover what that purpose or true will is. It requires intellectual honesty of the uttermost. Murder, rape, and the like, are a result of not following your true will.

  • Rod : It is not lawful to discuss the contents of the Book, but I'm not doing so by asking : did not the lord Hadit, father of all, god of magick, knowledge and delight, said that the slaves shall serve? So that, in the case of Xxmonicthing, it would rather be : "to the domestic office!" than "to the lions!" ???

  • Do what thou wilt... very well said... T

  • In some ways, and for some individuals...yes. Does this frighten you? Infringe on your rights in some way? Or do you simply feel that everyone should have the same views as you?

  • I agree 100 percent. However, Thelema is most definitely NOT anarchy. It is however, commonly and incorrectly percieved as such. Take a moment to watch my video on Liber OZ. I talk about it a bit there.

  • I have to disagree. It seems to me that you should rethink your condemnation of anarchy. It seems to me that Individualist Anarchism and Thelema are made for each other, despite that phase when Crowley was really into Hegel. The political and the spiritual, liberty and gnosis.

  • It doesn't mean you can do what the hel you want, when you want to. You can't just go around killing people, for that is not your True Will. Unless it is, then by all means do so. The Law is meant to be take the path of least resistance to get to your Will. I believe everyone, subconsciously, lives by this. When they read it, I believe, they think anarchy. It is not so complicated as that. Gardner, I think, also made this mistake, thus adding "an it harm none" to it. Take it with a grain of salt

  • I agree with 99%

  • I agree. That was one reason for the video. To demonstrate that Thelema Is already a part of culture and society. There are many individuals who have never heard of Crowley who are Thelemites. The only difference is, they haven't found Liber Al, or embraced it. I felt like that when I found it. It's seed has been germinating since the start of the New Aeon in 1904. And the new slave religion grows at an ever increasing rate to balance it.

  • "He that is righteous shall be righteous still; he that is filthy shall be filthy still." Al 2:57

"Yea! deem not of change; ye shall be as ye are, & not other. Therefore the kings of the earth shall be Kings for ever: the slaves shall serve." Al 2:58

  • 93/93. Slow down young brother! Don't waste your time responding to other peoples ideas or preaching. For now you should "Know, Will, Dare, and be Silent". Above all, keep learning. 93/93.

  • 93: Thelemic ideals can be seen in many places even excluding Thelemites in America, Europe, etc. - the fight for greater physical, moral, sexual, and political freedom (less restriction on all fronts) everywhere fits in with Thelemic ideals. What needs to be carefully examined is what is meant by 'conflict;' vigorous competition is certainly not frowned upon in Thelema. Anyway, Thelema is not an antinomian reaction; the Law integrates w/society and offers many solutions.

  • Great video - yes we are everywhere - i'm English like the Master Therion himself. Respect to Frater Ozzzz! 93/93

  • Yes, pure gold. I loved your video. Five stars and favorited. Great way to prove the law of thelema does fit in society, do your will, then do nothing else, restriction is "sin", so there wouldn't be killing and raping like crazies.

    Great video

  • Please watch my video entitled Thelema - The Message of the Master Therion. Crowley was very disciplined in many ways. None of us are perfect, but one does not become a great chess player, mountaineer, Author, Poet, amd Magician, without great discipline. Balance is the key. "Equillibrium is the basis of the work" Liber Librae

  • Pusihing everything to the limit, IMO, requires alot of self discpline... disicpline in order to push those said limits and to keep pushing.

  • Good video. Its good to hear someone talk about Thelema in a positive way. That potbellied idiot of a bodymaster I had was making it sound like a Jim Jones cult of some sort.

  • Thanks

  • awesome! 5 stars!

I hope you keep posting this awesome videos in the future

    thanks!

Love is the law, love under will
