That is why there is the scout class.

Their job is to keep you from running into an ambush.

Always move fast, but keep the scouts up front and behind something.

Sometimes sacrificing how far you move and how many enemies you get out right is a required.

maybe you are doing so bad because you are not really studying the hints in the game and using them. Instead, you are skipping all of them and thus, you make obvious mistakes.

Well actually he's doing bad cuz he doesn't know how to use each character correctly.The key to beating all the missions with the quickest time is to use the class with the highest AP,in this case the Scouts then once their turn is over use a different class like the Shocktroopers,etc etc then finish the mission using another Scout.
