It depends. What did the human do? Too many (repeat) too many times a human being attacked is a direct result of something they did to the animal first and if not them personally then the human who mistreated the animal before them. I think parents actually are at fault for not better educating their kids about animals probably because they also lack the knowledge needed to educate. I see alot of things in families get passed down. No matter how disfunctional these things are to the rest of us.

Just too sad. I was 3 days from being put down in a home run shelter when my new family found me. The shelter thought I was to old at 11 to be adopted out. Thank goodness my new family found me and took me home with them. I now have peace and love. I wish these animals had known the love I know now. No way is a good way to euthanize. Everything has pro and cons. Lethal injection stops the heart, gas removes oxygen. Which is better neither one. My dog is 13 years old and when it's time for her to pass I hope it is natural and not painful so I don't have to get her euthanized.

Here in Canada our SPCAs are no-kill. They are brimming with little critters due to our housing laws with 85% of rentals not allowing pets. That's yet another war that must be waged.

I like any comments and encourage debate. Many breeders are good, but many are just in it for the money. When different Cities are trying to impliment Spay/Neuter insentives the breeder come out in force to say NO. I think that the AKC are also against mass breeding. Most mandatory Spay /neuter laws just mean Spay/Neuter of buy a kennel licence. Now what could be harmful to the breeders about that? Talk wiht local groups, call your local Gov, Commisioners, Mayors, Seneters, Congressmen. During this process I have met amazing people and found out that many people just do not know that The Gas Chambers are still in use. I was a little inimidated at first but the Seneters etc I have spoken with are great and many are animal advocates and do not like what is happening in the world. Fund raisers and handing out fliers is good too. Find a local Celeb or just be YOU, which is A+++for caring!

Just to let other know, Wild life are Gassed to, Skunks etc, others that may be in an eco system where you are. Tame rabits, Guinea Pigs pig, you know kids Pets...........OK ANd what ever you may have heardabout it, seeeing is beliveing so go an watch a gassing and then.................

Respectable breeders try to hold up the breed standard, to produce healthier lively companions. Please do not bash them for that, that is their lifestyle. Though, I myself, just can't ever see myself buying a dog from a breeder knowing that there are animals in shelters that need us. Regarding the video, I think that it was excellent. We need to spread the word. Unfortunately it wont get far at the moment, but everyone will try, I hope.

Very true. Why buy a pure bread dog if you can get one from a shelter. People that do buy them obviously care about themselves and what the dog looks. Save a dog and adopt one.

I don't disagree with that fact at all. All dogs are beautiful. Of course there is bad dogs out there but that is the result of being mistreated by humans or growing up in a dangerous place. It really works the same as for people. I still think that adopting is much smarter than buying one. I will never buy a dog. For every dog thats bread 10 are killed.

Great video, 5 stars and playlisted. Every breeder, owner who will not spay/neuter or turns their dog into a shelter should have to watch as it is killed. I think that would waken a few people up.

We have made it to eay for people to just through animals away, their families , their childen...........just get another one. We are deeply saddened by the leadesship of Clovis to hault the process of closing the Gas Chambers, mayy have offered Clovis so much to make a better community for all to live in. They have been offered by APNM to pay for the transition to leathal injection. To help animal contorl who have to do this work becauase of others total irresponsiblity and disregard for life. They have been offered help with Spay/Neuter, Education..What more can we say of do?

I am not sure what I said in my post that you consider to be negative. I merely pointed out that the city has not closed the gas chamber yet. I do, like you, believe that they will. And to correct your statement in this post, I do not work at the animal shelter as a representative of another animal organization. I resigned my membership with them in April of 2007 and at that point in time my status at the shelter changed so that I report directly to the shelter supervisor.
