i have done rockschool in the past, i got to grade 6 and got bored of it, rockschool is pretty shit bcoz its so boring, i still have lessons at school, but i just dont do rockschool i learn techniques and stuff, i find it more helpful. Id say rockschool is good for beginners but after that its pretty pointless, u just learn more borin harder songs, i prefer learning proper songs haha

As always the answers are always easy when you know them.

I am on Grade 6 now, this stuff takes time and dont think because its grade 1 its easy.

Try to be as relaxed as you can in the exam, be prepeard. If you have done your home work then you will make it easy for yourself.

u cant say that how good you are is respective to how long youve been playin!! how good you are is determined on how good you are and no other factors. just because he passed grade 1 early doesnt mean he is better than a normal person who has passed grade 1. my reasoning behind this is that a lot of people quit guitar early as he has shown he has done. your ability comes from your determination and perseverance. anyway no showing off i passed my grade 6 when i was 13.

just because your young and passing your grades doesnt make any difference you tool! how good you are is only respective to how long you have been playing. If a 50 year old has been playing a month and is on grade one..does that mean a 14 year old playing 2 years on grade 2 is better? does it fuck! im at university...can't even do grade 3 guitar and im doing music at uni! grow up!

Why thank you. Just played a gig tonight which went well.

I am starting to be able to "mess" around with the somgs to make them my own. Grade 3 has taught me a lot with scales to use and these early grades have loads of space to fit you own little sounds in.

my guitar teacher once told me something bout 'messing' about with the guitar. Something I am going to tell you. He told me to imagine soloing or whatever as if you are telling a story. Because in a story you think to yourself 'what word would sound good next to put my message across?' well for guitar it is the same thing. A lot of songs are about something in particular(like Jeromy by pearl jam is about someone who kills himself) so it's the same kind of thing.

i've been playing the guitar for about 12 years(started when I was about 4). I would just like to say this was a very good piece. Good luck with grade 4.

If you want my advice you should maybe try improvising to the song slightly. I don't mean like re-write the solo's. I mean add little bits. Like the pickup selector switch for example(the bit that says 'rhythm/treble' on the guitar. If you flick it up and down at points really fast it makes a cool sound.

I didn't have the guts to perform an exam and to be judged so i decided to not take the first exam oppurtunity that came up but I should really try this next exam for Grade 1.

Well....I cant say playing guitar or any other instrument is easy.

There never is a good time to take them, you always think your not ready. Practice and when you have done with that.......do it some more.

Really was fantastic thing to do for me, send off the form, you wont regreat it!!

Grade 3 next for me.
