how does your insurance respond to damage of windshield. do you tell them it was hail and you where chasing or not? i keep getting told not to tell your insurance about what you do other wise your gonna really get it with them.
that sucks! I had in less than 5 years three times a hail damage on my cars and was glad I was insured but if i wasn't insured against damages caused by the nature I wouldn't let my car stay outside or drive when it could probably hail.

Wouldn't you be less likely to suffer windshield damage if you stopped the car?
If you're drving then the hail is hitting your car with the vector of whatever forward speed you're driving, plus the downward speed.

We just paid for the windshield out of pocket, and didn't make an insurance claim.I wouldn't claim storm damage under insurance anyway.

I didn't get the dents on my truck fixed. I just have big hail dents in them now. They're cool.
