  • i want to thank u that u r making us to cook by seeing it

please tell how to cook chicken pakoda

  • I tried to make this , but the veg balls were breaking in oil, please advise. Looking forward to your reply Chef.

  • @nidhiprasad be sure to really cook the cabbage and chana dal for a long time. they should be very very well cooked. totally soft. And then be sure to squeeze out ALL the water. then it will be easy to make the balls. as you roll them they become like dough balls. you can't make out any cabbage shape or dal shape in it.

  • what was the second ingredent after cabbage? accent is a bit thick and my knowledge of Hindi cooking is not very advanced....thanks in advance to an answer.

  • @centervilletn he added chana dal or split chickpeas

    Just No.

  • k now i understand. Gram flour, but it's specifically bengal gram flour. I thought gram was urad dal, but now I know there are many kinds of gram/lentils.

  • brilliant ... changed my life

  • hi sanjay,

I tryed cabbage kofta today, but it failed so badly.I did everything step by step as you said but after putting the kofta in the oil with in 10 minutes whole kadai is full of broken kofatas. Then i droped the idea of cooking this dish further.I have tryed so many dishes form your website nothing failed till now except this.I think for making this we need to be little experience.

  • @ashababu I had the same problem, and I have an easy solution. When youre done making your koftas, coat them in corn starch. This will absorb all those holes which the oil goes into to cause your koftas to dissolve. Try it, because this dish is REALLY delicious.

  • Your recipies are always amazing.. i learned a lot from you.. Keep rocking

  • whats besan? gram flour? isn't gram urad dal?

  • @ArgoSG

    besan is chickpea (chana) flour

  • tomato gravy tastes better...tho his recipies r also good...but in this 1,manjula aunt's is better ....

  • Instead of cooking cabbage and channa dhal, why don't you simply make cabbage vada with shredded ubcooked cabbage in ground channadhal with green chillies, cilantro etc. You can then have it soaked in your grayy

  • ouch... doesn't squeezing the hot cabbage and channa mixture burn the hands?

  • Chef I am a big fan in Canada! This recipe looks very good. DO YOU FRY THE KOFTA IN GHEE?

Question re. the Sambhar recipe: should you grind th espices before putting them in the blender wth the hing and ginger?

  • Chef, the video is very helpful as usual but can you please mention the amt of coriander powder and cumin powder etc that you put. You always say, "little coriander powder, little cumin powder", if you can give the users a measurement or ratio it would really be helpful. Your recipes are excellent.

  • Just go to his website and the recipe appears there in full detail... :)

  • Excellent, as usual!
