I would like to know how you went from a 1st, 2nd sophrono voice and one year later to a baratone, I expected you to have more of a voice a range...Like 1st and 2nd tenor. Even 1st alto...You had 2nd Alto..Not straight to Baratone...Still sounds GREAT...

I think you are progressing well, Andrew. The solo performance of the 7 verses over about 6 minutes (in E minor) showed a lot of vocal endurance, considering the transition that is occurring; I don't think it's a 'quick hymn' though. As you grow, all these fine ingredients will come together..

But what I learned from Andrew is that when a person makes good use of what God has given him or her, develops it and makes it flourish, this is what happens. Reality check folks, he's young and growing and lets not avoid the future where he may have a voice crack or grow several inches and normally suffer a tone drop from the mere increased body mass in the throat. Good luck to him, and don't write him off if his voice changes and you find a new toy to amuse and entertain you.

You have a voice to be very proud of.. I always wished I had more power in my voice, but I've never got any 'real' vocal practice. I do sing in a choir now, but well, I can't help thinking about how good/bad/who knows I might have been if I'd started as a kid.. Oh well. :D

Anyway, I really do hope (and believe) that you'll keep on working with music for as long as you find it appealing to do so. Music in it's proper sense is much like water - flowing, free and essential. ;)

I guess you want to know what people make of your changed voice. I must say it's pleasing and powerful to hear. The way you speak has matured. You must be pleased with yourself but no doubt unsure at the complete departure from the "trained voice". As we hear you hear back that your voice is both powerful and pleasing.
