Actually that's not her formal first name. That's what her dad wanted at first, but eventually her parents settled on Carnie. I'm pretty sure I've read that her legal name is "Carnie Wilson" - no middle name.

They settled on Carnie as a nickname because Carnation was too long. And I know she doesn't have a middle name. But the whole point of this is that she doesn't look like a piece of meat, she looks like a flower and her parents never intended to name her after the Spanish word for meat.
