I have a Boogie F-50 (the amp he's playing)

This amp has a spring reverb but its pretty lame. it isn't very deep and has a short decay. I'm actually looking for a decent reverb to put in the fx loop.

A lot of people think so, but they're very different. You can't get reverb sounds out of a delay pedal, or vice versa. Your best bet would be to buy a reverb and a delay.

best reverb tank is always gunna be by fender in my opinion, they did it the best to start with and are still doing it now

for a pedal? go for a EHX Holy Grail. Best and most accurate representation of spring and hall reverb ever tbh. And its completely idiot proof. No fiddly knobs, just one knob and a 3 way switch. done.

i used a boss reverb a while back and the cons of it make a list so fecking long.

Its not user friendly, theres too much choice in the controls and its too unintuitive.

if you want more user options available, have a look at the Holy Grail line of pedals. The holy grail itself is just the simplest of the bunch, they do the holy grail, holy grail plus, holier grail and holiest grail lmao

all are amazing pedals =]

First, I've got to get body/neck/paint for a guitar project out of the way... then a case and humidifier for my acoustic... then a distortion... but THEN, the Holy Grail xD

if you want distortion buy a DS-1. Cheap as chuff, built like a brick and sounds awesome. Ignore the idiots who say its a waste of money cos for 30 quid you cant go wrong with it =]

Holy grail on hall mode works well with acoustic apparently, i know a few people who use em for recording instead of a tank

Meh... fuzz isn't really my thing. The only fuzz I'd want would be a Zvex Fuzz Factory... have you heard the song New Born by Muse? He uses the FF on the initial riff... dear god, it sounds apocalyptical xD

The DS2 just sounded the best to me. So, my dream rig would be a Boss DS-2 Turbo, Holy Grail (of course!), Fuzz Factory, a Digitech Whammy, and a wah of some description :P

Id not bother with a whammy - get a EHX HOG instead. It can do multiple notes, set intervals and stuff. Plus it can do everything the whammy can including pitch bends and stuff, but with loads of added stuff XD
