Wow, the simularities to exercises for trumpet playing ...!

The same scale runs I use for warming up and coordinating the fingers with the change in partials of the trumpet note range. Except I don't tuck my butt. I do firm up the bottom of my diaphragm, hard to explain , easy to feel it when done right, in order to have the airflow for the higher notes. Also coordinating the tongue, but that's a WHOLE NOTHER story....

its a very useful technique and multi millionaire singers ofter don't have a voice as good as hers, bob dylan anyone? her job is to teach you and i can now use this technique + she can sing better than most people here

just because you sing exactly as the textbook says doesn't mean your're any good. she can hold a note very well but i'm not sure people would be dying to get a hold of her music if she has any..

the point is:

that's not exactly true. so long as they can do the warm up and understand the notes you need to know to sing better, it doesn't matter. Will it help if your teacher can sing? YOU BET!! But that's not always the case and those are actual techniques they use in choir and other singing professions. Her voice isn't that bad...it hits all the right notes...but then again my hearing is a bit better when listening to singing notes than anything

Nothing wrong with that vibrato, really. Though, she needs to watch out on the ascending "ee" vowel--she's tending to straighten out her voice there, resulting in slight tuning problems. It's gotta stay vibratory all the way up.
