Sweetie,

Perhaps it is the music you used. There is too much distortion in the bass. Perhaps it is also the quality of the recording. I am sure they are nice, but it is also how the bass is used and projected.

There is definitely a thing as "too much bass", especially when it is totally overpowering.

Perhaps you should sell all your speakers, and just keep the subs. Then use two tiny tweeters. That would provided the same effect as you currently have.
