Nanotechnology is just incredible, anything is possible.

But by the time such devices are truly possible, why restrict it to a handheld device like that?

I think all our computer tech will simply be designed into clothing. Wearable computers.

Instead of a display screen, glasses or contacts would be the screen!

Also, imagine that fly being a nanotech device. It could be a wireless network repeater, or router, and swarms of such devices could populate the world, creating truly ubiquitous nets.

not yet but if you look at 1970's mobile phone as we know it now was just a phantasy, in the last years we have advanced rapidly in technology and science if politics and economics will stabilize and religion will not stand our (science, future's) way then we have a bright future perhaps we wont see it but we must do what we can so our children / human race would see it and achieve things we can only dream about.
