  • My mom was a hippy, but one with rules. I did not talk back, I was always clean and respectful. If I forgot. . . . God help me.

  • I don't find this funny.

  • funniest women ever

  • She's great

  • I laughed so hard I got hiccups lol

  • I'm a teenager now and I know this doesn't apply to everyone but boy do I know a lot of people who fit this to a T. I am trying my best to be as polite and good a person as I possible can. Thank God my mom wasn't a hippie and isn't raising a barbarian. :)

  • It reminds me of Bill Cosby's Jeffery :) I love it!

  • Like it or not she has a point in saying that people are raising barbarians..In writing this i am in no way trying to generalize and say that this applies to all parents and i realize that this statement may not be politically correct...But its the truth.

  • @NocturneKing It's very true. I'm glad to say I raise my kids as I was raised, but I've seen some of their friends, and I've worked with some at my job...and there are some scary little people out there. BUT. There are some good little people out there, too.

  • she's an important American comedian

  • I wish more people were as brave as she was. It's true how afraid people are! I work in a resturant and I see it all the time. Undisiplined children are the worst.

  • That is one of the reasons, I believe that some animal eat their young.

  • Oh, it's so true. Some kids are little terrors, because Parents don't want to be strict about boundaries.

  • Little petri dishes!

    Jackie

  • See if a real parent love their child they will discipline them from the beginning. It is the law of love.

Whoopi is so genuine and I love her for being true to herself.

  • Shes So Wright if kids dont behave its the parents falt for letting them get away with it.

  • lol

"and they raised barbarians" (talking about teenagers)

shows how to the point she is, after she said that I looked in a mirror and thought "yeah, that's about right"

    XD

Whoopi is just great, she tells it like it is and that's why we like her!

  • swanson6666 do not act like you can predict the future you moron...you do not know what people would or would not talk about so dont act like you do.

  • Bravo!

  • Whoopi, do you think racism was involved in Kanye taking the mic from Taylor? If Justin Timberlake took the mic from Beyonce you'd still be talking about it. That's called being a hypocrite.

  • actually there is meaning in what she is saying, and it is true.

  • Yes.

  • If Justin took it from Beyonce, yes, it would be the same as the Kanye Taylor incident. People would talk about it more because Justin is more famous than Kanye or Taylor, and so is Beyonce.

  • taking the mike from taylor was publicity stunt and an act of a moron. who cares. this is about parents raising kids with no moral idea of common sense. you know like your comment because you didn't listen. race isn't involved

  • Ain't it the truth though???

    Whoopi is fierce!

  • wonderful

  • I love Whoopi Goldberg. lol

  • does anybody know the name of the stand up she did in the 80's (I think) where she played Fontaine and sang the star spangled banner?

  • nah actually shes pretty much telling it like it is, if you had a brain youd understand that.

  • she's so wise.

  • lol she is just too funny lol

  • superb

  • I love her attitude and her summation of the generational problem :D

  • sooo true!!!...and soo funny!

  • oh shut up there's worse stuff than mine on youtube. doesnt matter anyway how she looks like, what she says is important

  • @LindsayMonroe88 amen. Love whoopi.

  • that's right, that's right :)

  • Whoopi is a great human being. The world is a better place with her here. I hope she keeps fighting the good fight.

  • Whoopi is fair. Period. Whoopi has compassion for everyone involved, no matter their political party, religion, or situation.

  • great point: if you dont have to ask you feel like you can have whatever you want.

  • Obviously you haven't looked in a mirror

  • Whoopie Goldberg has always been a very funny actress, and she does well in serious drama. She needs to get better roles. Why doesn't she get a part in one of the "Law & Order" series? Or how about one of those weird hospital dramas like "House"?

  • lmao im gonna eat you!!

  • exaggeration was,but so was empathy on the important.

And man was that funny. She is a marvel.

  • I loved Whoopi's buckwheat story.

  • little petri dishes..... i like it

  • wow sweet you guys cracked the 10,000 im so proud ^^

  • Hey it's comedy! It's basicly true but a little over the top as well to make it funny. She's a grandma and the barbarians she is talking about are the teenagers of today, and I personally can agree that a good part gets close to Whoopi's descriptions. But no everyone had Hippie-grandparents so there will be exceptions of course! ;)

  • I could be wrong, but I've always thought that it's a cop-out to excuse bad manners by saying "He was raised that way, he doesn't know any better". Well, once a person goes out into the world and sees how others interact, he doesn't have that excuse any longer. He can see others being polite and see how his ill-mannered behavior effects others. Couldn't he see, by watching other people, the proper way to interact with others socially?

  • Here's the thing, not many people today have respect for others or are polite, therefore what's there to learn? Rudeness, ignorance, being impolite, etc.

  • That would work *IF* other people were polite. But they aren't so how is he or she to learn if they act like barbarians on the metro or on the highway or in the mall.

  • yeah, sike

  • brilliant whoopi is a legend this is so funny but true luved whoopi the hippi hilarious thanx for the upload jodie x

  • The audience is too young to see the truth of Whoopi's words. We have raised several generations of barbarians. I don't blame the children - it's we adults who "have no boundaries". Sigh.

  • A slight exaggeration don't you think? I know plenty of polite, courteous young people who know perfectly well how to think for themselves, and I don't bother with those who can't. I always offer my seat to elderly people on the bus, and I definitely have manners. Don't tar us with the same brush as our barbaric peers!

  • says whom, and by what do you consider them to be too young. they appear to be in their 20's 30's 40's and etc--which is old enough to know the difference.

  • I think you should put more of this show on here...maybe if you want cut them in parts because this was soo funny

  • hahahaha this is hilarious

    thank you :)

could i ask you if you could send me this?

    or is that not possible?

i would be so grateful, :)
