In Germany are 19% VAT on Bars , Coins 7 % VAT

So coins are cheaper.

@stackinsilver lucky in Australia there is no tax on fine gold silver platinum bars or coins. if its less than fine purity like 22kt krugerand or gold eagle - the tax is 10%

@chaseef ye I agree - in Australia - 1oz coins & rounds are like US$8 - US$12 over spot per coin/round. 1kilo bars and above are far more economical to accumulate. BTW I'll exchange you 1kilo PAMP Suisse for 32 of your silver Eagles! haha :)

@chillininlondon dont you have PAMP Suisse 1 kilo bars in USA/Canada? everyone seems to be asking me about it? Silver content should be more important than the form it takes. it doesnt matter if you have 32x 1oz rounds or a 1kilo bar - at least they all weigh 1kilo of fine silver. After watching a lot of silver videos I think its easier to store & carry kilo bars around than individual coins.

@stackinsilver True. With 99.9 coins, I have favoured silver eagles in 20 coin rolls at $400 USD. This works out to only $20 US per 1oz coin. Not too much over the spot price of silver! And the seller offered free post within the US. A pity I didn't have a loose couple of hundred K. I'd be buying up bigtime. :)

Off the topic, but looking for opions. I have some Eisenhowers Dollars that I have been considering selling, then taking that money and buying some American Eagles, maples, and maybe some "junk" at 90% silver. Do you think this is something I should do, or keep the Ikes? Thanks everyone.
