@wskfan I know that you uploaded the last minutes for friends only to avoid a complaint cause the violation of the copyright. I also know that you would accept invitations by interested users.
The current Toelzers to hear and to look at my channel...:)
@chorister51 Read the last comments please. My friend wskfan - starting a recording too late - has the last 40 minutes of the film only and uploaded the last 8 minutes. The film was sent by the German TV-station Sat 1 but Sat 1 never again sent a re-run...:(.
The movie is called "Daniel, Philipp und das Wunder der Liebe" free translation "Daniel, Philipp and the magic of true love" The boy actors name is Thomas Näßl. He was a member of the Tölzer boys choir. It was made for TV and is not available on DVD...
Unless I'm mistaken, that's Gerhardt Schmidt-Gaden, the director of the Tölzer Knabenchor, playing the piano at the very beginning. I think we can assume that's the choir singing too. Looks like it was filmed in Bavaria, but the boys acting don't have Bavarian accents. Several pieces from Bach's Christmas Oratorio in there.
Wurde es nicht in Bad Tölz gedreht? So glaubten wir: Ist nicht die Marktstraße, die Isarpromenade...? Na, keine Ahnung, ich war in Tölz aber bin selber blind, muss meinen Vater trauen...
It's so frustrating... that song their singing at the beginning starts getting REALLY beautiful ... and then he stops it!!! I'd LOVE to hear the whole thing. :-(
notyobs This is wonderful. thank you. And, grand to see GSG playing the piano.

His voice is dead on for someone only at the auditioning phase of his career!

Many thanks! It's great isn't it, on the net there's always someone who knows the answer! They ought to release it on DVD.

War Thomas Näßl Solist des Tölzer Knabenchores? Er ist gegenwärtig Schauspieler, nicht wahr? Ich hab ein bißchen nachgeforscht...

@tkbewunderin79
stimmt. aber momentan hat er die Schauspielerei an den Nagel gehängt.
