The train and the cave is the only memory i have of this place. I was so young. My dad wanted to go so bad so one day we all just packed up from East Texas and went. I want to return someday soon.

I'm 48 years old and have been going to SDC since I was an infant (have a photo of me as a baby with my dad in front of the Wilderness Church). I have been going on this train ride my whole life and they have had the Ralphie and Alphie Bolin skit for as long as I can remember, with almost no changes, even in the script. As a kid, I thought that was lame, but as an adult, I like the idea of an almost-pristine experience to share with the next generation.

At 2:30, the train robber's announce their names as the Bolin brothers. Alf Bolin was actually a real notorious bushwacker. When he died, a soldier actually beheaded Bolin and brought his head to Ozark,MO where they put it on display near the courthouse grounds. Quite interesting history.

I swear I've seen this show a hundred times and I still love it. I went one time and the robber messed up his lines and got called out on it. It was the funniest thing ever. Going for my honeymoon.

Years ago, back in the 70's and 80's Dollywood in Gatlinburg, TN was Silver Dollar City. They had a great Steam Engine and Old West show. I loved it as a kid. Dollywood still runs the steam engine there, but the old west show is gone. Does anyone have any footage from back then? I would love to see it again!
