  • Ha, he was playing along with a tape of the band, pretty cool!

  • Correct my typo too!

  • @TheDavenoir Really? You corrected my spelling... I hope you feel smarter than me, after all he was/is the genious not me. How's it feel to be a douchebag? Go try that shit on a bus or in line at the DMV, you wouldn't because it's rude. You astra now in the same league with the pricks who hate videos on a site where you like the artist. You are just being an online asshole and by the way I would call you out in public too.

  • I met Todd at a Norwegian House party just last weekend! What a dude!!

  • My god! All these years I thought it was a woman singing this song.

  • I love when he does a little break presenting himself as Todd Rundgren, author of many hits of the 1960s and the 1970s and asks "remember this one?" and goes back into singing the chorus!

  • Thanks!

  • This is the best version of this song I've ever heard. Luv it! Thanks for uploading it. :) I can't stop humming this tune!

  • AWESOME!!!!! AWESOME!!!! thank you for uploading this for all to see

  • Que demais! Muito bom! "Viajei!"

  • Love this guy! wow - what great and romantic art his music is.

  • Todd Rungren is famous for wearing metal flake eye lashes...........

  • I have his music on my Iphone wow

  • This was Todd's ode to Carol King.

  • Oh man! Talk about memories! I can never hear this song enough! Feelings come rushing back into my head from high school years 69 - 73, Greenwood High ! Go Bulldogs!

  • WHAT A GREAT SONG !!

  • i remember this song came out like the summer before this because i was on the beach in 8th grade... but he had a voice and still does that just did it for me and my friends and we would sit on the sand in spring lake new jersey and blast the transistor radios. THANKS YOUTUBE so that we can share the sweeter memories! xo

  • I saw this concert tour. He was wearing this exact same costume. He changed his wardrobe about mid-concert and came out, sat down on the piano bench, then played Piss Aaron. I took tons of pictures. One of the best concerts I had ever seen. He played for FOUR hours.

  • OMG .. TODD .. YOUR SO HAPPY ... !!!!!

  • I saw and met Todd in 1988 in Austin, Texas when he brought his 23 piece band with him. Man, was that great!!

  • @taypar11 lucky

  • This is a great song...lots of memories :)

  • why is it every live version he is singing faster than the beat, he's "running away" from the beat

  • @userboy6 Interesting comment because it's slightly true but essentially wrong at the same time. I am a fanatic about phrasing. What he appears to be doing, to me, is slightly pushing tempo but during a very tricky syncopation within that particular line. The construction of the phrase makes it SOUND like he's rushing but it's really more that it's so tricky and sophisticated that it tends to sound like a rush. Even if he didn't push it (maybe3%) like he does, it would appear to be rushed.

  • Surely, anyone that is familiar w/ Todd is familiar w/ Daryll Hall n John Oates. Right? Todd produced MOST of their albums!!!! Bada bing baby!. Genius.

  • major crush.

  • I was 14 years old when this song came out! Camping out with my best friend Pam in the beautiful woods of Springfield, MO. And I fell in love with Todd and his music ever since. How I love and cherish those memories.....

  • Oh, you rule!! I love you...officially love you, hee...

Thanks, this is more than great...

  • He was and still is a Genious!

  • @KennysRadLife So he could probably spell genius correctly?

  • I was 17 years old at the time this was , wow and am still in love with everything Todd does for us musically. Thank you for sharing your gift with the world , I am better because of it. You have touched my spirt.

  • RIDICULOUS.... GO BACK TO 3RD GRADE.......

  • His backup band is the Teac tape recorder behind him that has all of his own playing on it. Way before sampling. The reverse of lip syncing, he recorded his own backup and played live over it.

  • I keep searching todd songs trying to prove that he doesnt always look rediculous, but truth is, he almost always does. Still an AMAZING performer though.

  • @jabbadude1 Oh well...it was the 70s.

  • a pearl!

  • What year was this song released 69-70?

  • @TheGB1950 1972

  • @TheGB1950 Who cares

  • OMG! Awesome!

  • Thanks for post!

  • "Greatest Hits" ha ha!!!! Love it!!!
