it was a clean hit by richards. malkin had his head down and was standing still. richards cleaned the porch. its still cherry picking if your slow to get up and are hanging around the blue line. notice how how malkin goies into the boards after he scores. he wasn't that hurt. calling it like i see it. its cherry picking!
Half you bitches wish you had Richards on your team... you call him dirty for one hit? Pens fans can look at their gay boy Cooke before they point fingers at Richards
@SouthP17CD i for one don't want richards on my team and its not because i think he is a dirty player which i don't because i dont see many big hits from him. I just wouldn't want him because he sucks and isn't as clutch as he used to be. And that is coming from a pens fan.
Good! Richards is a Broad Street Bully AND goon (hit on Booth), and the Flyers deserved to give up the goal. In your face Richards! I am certain the Flyers will not win the cup again in my lifetime. I would cheer the Maple Laffs on before I would want to see the Flyers win the cup.
As for cherry picking, you kidding me? He was slow to get up.
Absolutely love re watching this!! Hate Richards and think he's such a waste of ice space... Malkin got up slowly from the huge and hit and ended making them pay for it!!
He wasn't really cherry picking. He was probably just slowly making his way back to the bench after shaking off the hit. Then his teammate got the puck and he noticed the great opportunity given to him. Nice play
Im sorry I love malkin and all and think he's a great player but thats such a cherry pick. not to mention thats how he got his first rush probably lol either way nice goal but dang thats cherry picking if ive ever seen it.
That was insane almost forgot about that one! MALKIN IS INSANE u wouldent see many people just shake a hit off like that and score. Malkin got hit hard the only reason it dosent look like the impact wasent that big is because malkin is so big. MALKIN OWNS
for all you malkin lovers, guess who cost his team the 12 game winning streak cause of a cheap play? o ya MALKIN. Richards is an all around better player. Pussy doesnt even back check on a penalty kill. he cherry picks.
Yeah because Malkin is such a good, leveled headed player compared to Richards.
How many times has Malkin mugged players on the ice - E.G. While they(other player) are on the ground he starts attacking them. I sure remember when he Mugged Carter in the playoffs.
Stop treating Malkin like he is a good, natural player. He does shit worse then Avery to win games(Should be a Malkin rule like there is an Avery rule)- End of story.
I bet if you could watch the entire rink after Malkin got hit, he probably took his sweet ass time gettin down the ice just to have a chance at a breakaway
@Jimmy1720 Thats the risk you take. He took a good hit and the play when in the Pens end....So the flyers actually had the advantage but turned the puck over...Awesome Goal!
@EaSkateSeeker exactly, richards is a dirty head hunter and needs to be thrashed, i can't wait for this season to start, i'm sure alot of guys have his number on their mind
@fingertipsindented are you kidding me? richards can score, and he knows how to hit. ill give malkin that it was lucky he got hit and is a pussy enough that he didnt back check like hes supposed to too.
@fingertipsindented Dumbass hes been playing hockey like this (hitting and scoring) for quite some time, if they really had his number I think Richards would have been out a long time ago dipshit.
sweet sweet redemption lol....granted it was a bit of a cherry pick BUT in all honesty stand at 1 end of the rink and let a (im guessing) 200 pound professional athlete start at center ice, skate full speed and hit you, then see how long it would take 2 get back 2 the defensive zone.....just sayin
@videogamefreaks101 wtf the only reason why pens won is because red wings were paid off you think pens could have actually beat the red wings no way buddy red wings could have ran over the pens if they wanted to
@WEGSxIRISH I agree with the second half. But its a completely pussy goal. Malkin makes no attempts to skate back and help his team. He just moans and slowly lugs up ice when the puck finds him. Only thing I liked was that heavy shot.
Mike Richards with another prime example of how to finish a check
@WEGSxIRISH Of course...but your question was "How is it a pussy goal." In my view its a pussy goal because he doesn't skate back and try to play defense at all...He was completely leveled by the hit both physically and mentally. But he's a product of russian hockey...out side of Datsyuk, back checking and defense don't seem to to popular.
@JimmyPage97 Oh yeah, haha that's right. You're just some pussy who talks shit on youtube. Malkin gets paid millions of dollars to score and make plays, not to get hit. But regardless, I didn't see him complain about the hit. In fact, he took it and 15 seconds later, scored. How the hell could a bias, and bored pussy like yourself have a problem with that? You are being dumb.
@jimmofosty No ones talking shit, Malkin got drilled and made a terrible effort to skate back...which led to a break away. He should have passed the puck and skated his lazy ass to the bench. Personally, I'm not impressed with it at all.
@JimmyPage97 once again he did get drilled and probably got the breath knocked out of him. He wasn't being lazy in the 10 seconds it took him to recover. Being lazy would be him passing the puck away and then going to the bench while his line mates were still out there but he didn't and scored a goal.
@jimmofosty I don't get what you people don't understand...In my opinion, if the milkman is to winded, hurt, tired, dizzy, sick, ugly, ect, ect, to skate his frankenstein looking head back into the Defensive zone...then get on the bench and get some water and oxygen.
This is a philly power-play in the playoffs...conference finals too i believe. Malkin is nothing but lucky that the flyer player fanned. its and total and complete poor PK'ing effort by #71 in black and white.
@JimmyPage97 I get that you're being openly biased against him because he either doesn't play for your team and you don't like that or that he plays for the Pens. I mean what relevance does "frankenstein looking head" with this argument?
Anyways you can't argue a shorthanded goal in a "conference final" game as bad PK. The best PK there is is scoring. Christ dude, you don't like him, we get.
@jimmofosty It could have been anyone for any team, and it still would be a terrible effort. He charged on net on the PK and still missed the net...got dumped...and then made little or no effort to get back onto defense.
Even the announcer said he was "basket hanging." The dude was basically cherry picking in a conference final game on the PK...four thumbs down
@JimmyPage97 once again he just got hit seconds before and was slow to his feet....and you have a problem because he didn't get back to play defense fast enough. But from his perspective, he just entered his zone after recovering from a pretty vicious hit, immediately saw that one of his men had the puck and rather then pointlessly moving in to wait for his teammate to dump the puck, he stayed back for a second and received a breakaway pass. Cherry picking whatever, a sh goal is a sh goal.
@jimmofosty the puck left the flyers zone at 0:9 and malkin recieves the pass at the opposing blue line at :26...whats that 17 seconds pass and malkin cant even clear the other zone? I don't know how you can even argue this....
Great defense by the pens which led to an absolutly huge goal for them...terrible effort on malkin ...nice shot...bad save attempt bad flyers PP. Thats the done deal imo.
@JimmyPage97 He recieced the pass at :17, not 26. He had 8 seconds to recover from a pretty damn hard hit. He saw his defense had the puck and hung back for a split second and converted that second into a long breakaway. I don't know how you can argue a SH goal is a terrible defensive effort on a on PK... really, you've made it clear before you don't like Malkin and you you favor Mike Richards. Are you from Philly or just a fan of the Flyers? Either way you're still being bias.
@jimmofosty yeah my bad, the clips 26 secs long None the less if the roles were reversed my thoughts would stay the same. His goal was 100% because of a fanned shot by RIchards. Nothing (besides the shot) malkin did in this situation was at all impressive.
And yes im from philly, and yes Richie is my boy. I remember the goal like anything, it changed the whole outlook of that game. But I still remember thinking this same exact thing when I saw it. it was a Pathetic effort on 71.
@JimmyPage97 Okay, well there's all I needed to know. A Philly fan scrutinizing Malkin despite the fact he scored a SH goal. Of course you're going to say that, you're from Philly. No one else would say scoring a sh goal in a conference final game was a pathetic effort.
@JimmyPage97 I know it won't change and neither will mine. A shorthanded goal is not a horrible effort to kill a penelty regardless of whatever player it is for whatever team.
@jimmofosty Malkin is a top skater in the NHL, and he gets paid big time to play these big minutes. This video is a good example (IMO) of why many fast super-star players (like ovy) don't get the very important PK time.
Watch #18 in black...He is just as deep in the flyers zone as 71...and then he is the first player back to brake up the play in the Pens zone and cause the turn over...leading to the goal. Thats how you kill a penalty...Get out the pen and paper Malkin.
@JimmyPage97 I agree with the first half of what you said. But #18 also just get leveled like Malkin did too. A few seconds to recover on a hit like that shouldn't be unexpected.
@jimmofosty The only reason he got hit was because he was trying to stick handle with his head down, on the PK, in the wrong zone, in front of the opposing teams net...He's lucky is was only 5'10 Richie hitting him and he was able to get up and Cherry Pick.
@JimmyPage97 he wasn't moving where he was at. It didn't matter if he raised his head or not, Richards came at him fast and hard. In the end, it was just a good hit by Richards. Anyways, now you have a problem with a foward carrying out a PK in the other teams zone? lol doesn't Richards do the same ALL THE TIME ???
@jimmofosty ...no but he threw a body check at the same spot malkin did....then he skated back, got to his position, and forced the turn over leading to a SH goal. I really don't know why you keep posting defending Malkin on this. Nothing at all happened from him outside of cherry picking and a slap shot...This is a dead done deal. Malkin is not a 2-way player.
@JimmyPage97 He threw a body check, he didn't receive one, let alone the hard hit Malkin got. And didn't Malkin lead the league in takeaways last season? He had something like 93 takeaways, a few more then Pavel in the 2009 season? It was because of his back checking. He is a two way player, this year he had an off year but that will happen.
@jimmofosty This has nothing to do with a team, player, or superstar bias. What team I wanted to win the game is completely irrelevant at this point. The outcome is done with. The flyers obviously played terrible in this video almost all around. And the Power Play effort at such a critical time was terrible (like it is many times). My argument has nothing to do with the specific teams or players. I've said that a few times too.
@JimmyPage97 yes it does. You arguing against Malkin from a biased perspective. lol you even called him frankenstein at one point...tell me what relevance does that have? My point is I can't trust the opinion of a Philly fan who makes comments like that.
@jimmofosty He looks like frankenstein with no bolts in the neck. Just because I think Malkin looks like Frankenstein(which you take personally as a negative comment) is also irrelevant. This also isn't an issue with trust. And you already showed just as equal a bias against philly fans. I could easily argue that your argument is completely based on some stereotype and bias against the fact that I'm from philly.
@JimmyPage97 Bringing a petty insult like that into a legitimate argument is enough proof that you're bias against him. As I said before, at the point you said it, it was irrelevant and had nothing to do with the video. It backs up my accusation that you don't like the guy. And I'm sorry for stereotyping Philly fans. I shouldn't have done that. Not all Philly fans hate the Pens but regardless if someone does hate them or not, I don't care. I'll only argue to the point of defending my team.
@JimmyPage97 I defend my team against bias accusations like calling a sh goal a poor attempt of killing a penalty. And if it wasn't my team I would have ignored such a ridiculous statement...and there's nothing wrong with that.
Stfu? Getting a little too sensitive over an argument bud.
@jimmofosty nope completley tired with you and the argument. Your whole argument is based on a bias that I already said had no validity to it....and then you come out and say that you are Pens fan...I feel like im arguing with a child.
@JimmyPage97 haha talk about stereotyping...calling me a child because I'm a Pens fan?
And yes, once again, insulting how Malkin looks in the middle of an irrelevant argument should point out that you obviously don't like the guy and you are biased against him.
@jimmofosty No. Insulting a person is obviously irrelivant to this particular argument but it still means nothing. I think Scott Hartnell looks like a cave man, but that doesn't mean i don't like or hate the man as a hockey player. And the comment about you being a child was completely seperate from you being a pens fan. Your argument is completely backwards, and your accusation that I am biased is totally irrelivant now that we know that you would be equally as biased.........
@JimmyPage97 but you chose to insult him in the middle of a legit argument, that's where you lost your cred. as being fair. Like you even said, it had nothing to do with the video, so why say it? You don't like the guy, it's cool. But my point is your hate is clouding your judgement, hence you being bias.
haha come on you called me a baby because I'm a Pens fan. Just admit it dude, you don't like the Penguins and you're bias against them.
@jimmofosty It had plenty to do with the video, it just had nothing to do with this particular argument. I said it like 5 times already...I'm totally agreeing with the fact that Malkin's ugliness is irrelivent when it comes to any conversation involving skill. For some reason you want to continue that if you insult someone then you loose credibility to even comprehend hockey in a logical manner. Further I expressed many times that none of it had to do with specifics like team or player.
@JimmyPage97 of course we ackowledged your comment as irrelevant. But that fact remains that it indicates you don't like Malkin, The placing and the timing of the comment come into consideration also. And so yes, when you obviously don't like a hockey player, you're credibility in regards to that hated hockey player, do go down. It's called being bias.
@jimmofosty I'm fully aware what being biased is. I'm not trying to hide that I don't like Malkin, but I'm not trying to underplay what happened either. My dislike for Malkin comes completely seperate from the skill he plays with. Statistics alone explain that Malkin is obviously a superstar hockey player.
And like I said, if you want to bring in the idea of a bias...then you also clearly have an issue as well. I could easily complain all day saying that your just being a homer with this...
@JimmyPage97 being homer with what? haha you're complaining against a guy who had a sh goal. I guy that you dislike as well. lol dude who else would bitch about a hockey player getting a sh goal then someone who doesnt like him?
@jimmofosty Not bitching about anything, I'm just saying that imo the effort put out by Malkin was weak and this goal deservingly belongs to the other three people he was playing with, before him.
And I also said like 100 times that my feelings to Malkin are seperate from my feelings about how #71 in black played in this video.
Who else would endlessly defend against this forever except a Pens fan.... Your totally biased as well and its as obvious as anything.
@JimmyPage97 first off the other three people were one...just Gonchar. Please stop letting your obvious hatred for Malkin get the better of your perception.
Is it just me or are #71 and Malkin the same player? I mean I don't know the guy personally off the ice, do you?
And your last question is stated incorrectly, or so I think so. I believe the question at hand should be stated as: why wouldn't someone endlessly defend a short handed goal in a conference final game?
@jimmofosty No my point was the rest of the PK is who played hard and was deserving of this goal. Malkin (im sure he did) owed them at least a good job.
Yes 71 from the pens and malkin are the same people. The purpose was to eliminate the name...my point again was that this whole argument (from my point) is completely reguardless of the name on the jersey.
And no the question was right. It was more rhetorical though.
@JimmyPage97 he does deserve to thank them for putting effort into the penalty kill but they didn't do as much as assisting or scoring the sh goal.
Secondly, that's retarded, You called out Malkins name from the beginning of this argument all the way up until the third time I called you biased against him and you know that to be true.
And I know it was a rhetorical question, but I responded back with a legitimate question and you still haven't answered it yet.....
@JimmyPage97 no you didn't. The question was, why wouldn't someone defend a sh goal in a conference final game? Or any game for that matter. A sh goal is a sh goal. The fact remains you're a bias troll searching internet videos on youtube, looking for ways to bring down nhl players you don't like.
@jimmofosty I answered that a million times. This isn't about the score sheet, its about effort. Malkin gets paid millions to get leveled and cherry pick in conference finals? Give some effort big man...
@JimmyPage97 he got leveled like anyone else would in a vulnerable position like that. And don't even branch another argument off of this saying that he should have been in that position to begin with because that happens to every hockey player at some point. The fact remains he was slow to his feet because of a huge hit but regardless of this, he still scored a sh goal. A sh goal is a sh goal and his effort was the thing that caused it.
@jimmofosty negative. His lack of effort is what caused it. His un-willingness to skate hard back into his zone is what put him in position for a break away. Regardless of what you continue to say his effort was lame.
further he shouldn't have been in this position to begin with. On his initial rush he had a clean shot and passed it up. This allowed the defender to nullify the shot attempt which then put him in a very very vulnerable position...the common outcome is a hit like that.
@JimmyPage97 so now you're critisizing him for not taking the right shot at the right second? You do have it out for this guy, don't you?
But like I've been saying, he just took a huge hit and it was only seconds later he was able to score the sh goal. Again, I'll say it, a sh goal is a sh goal. You just don't like Malkin.
@jimmofosty Nope, again I'm critisizing him a lack of effort in a huge spot. Your attempt to overshadow this lack of effort was with the hit...so I took that further and added that he left himself vulnerable with a pretty selfish short handed break attempt.
I have it out for people who do dumb things like this, its not my fault that its malkin who did it. If this was Richards I would be equally dissapointed.
And yes I understand that SHG = SHG...So you can stop giving me this equation.
@JimmyPage97 you have it out for Malkin. His attempts lead him up to the sh goal and yet you still continue to critisize him for it, disregarding the final result. You're bias against him man.
@jimmofosty Nope. His team is what helped him get that goal. And further the video is what it is, and his effort is what it is. A bias is completely irrellivent imo. His lack of effort was completely apparent and I remember saying it the second I saw this live on the day. The one and only reason that I dislike malkin is for this reason exactly...if you want to be considered as a big time NHL player you need to do everything, PK and defense included. This is Malkin 101...Stat sheet.
@JimmyPage97 i think you have to remember her did just get slammed into the boards. maybe it was taking him a little bit longer to get back anyway. just sayin'.

@Jimmy1720 Thats the risk you take. He took a good hit and the play when in the Pens end....So the flyers actually had the advantage but turned the puck over...Awesome Goal!

?How is it a pussy goal? The puck got in the back of the net and that's all that matters.
WEGSxIRISH 1 year ago 2
@WEGSxIRISH I agree with the second half. But its a completely pussy goal. Malkin makes no attempts to skate back and help his team. He just moans and slowly lugs up ice when the puck finds him. Only thing I liked was that heavy shot.
Mike Richards with another prime example of how to finish a check
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 When it comes to goal scoring it's QUANTITY not QUALITY, although quality is an awesome bonus.
WEGSxIRISH 1 year ago
@WEGSxIRISH Of course...but your question was "How is it a pussy goal." In my view its a pussy goal because he doesn't skate back and try to play defense at all...He was completely leveled by the hit both physically and mentally. But he's a product of russian hockey...out side of Datsyuk, back checking and defense don't seem to to popular.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 you take a hit like that and see how long it takes for you to recover. Stop being bias dude.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty I'm not a professional hockey player and I dont get paid millions to play. Your the one being dumb
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 Oh yeah, haha that's right. You're just some pussy who talks shit on youtube. Malkin gets paid millions of dollars to score and make plays, not to get hit. But regardless, I didn't see him complain about the hit. In fact, he took it and 15 seconds later, scored. How the hell could a bias, and bored pussy like yourself have a problem with that? You are being dumb.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty No ones talking shit, Malkin got drilled and made a terrible effort to skate back...which led to a break away. He should have passed the puck and skated his lazy ass to the bench. Personally, I'm not impressed with it at all.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 once again he did get drilled and probably got the breath knocked out of him. He wasn't being lazy in the 10 seconds it took him to recover. Being lazy would be him passing the puck away and then going to the bench while his line mates were still out there but he didn't and scored a goal.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty I don't get what you people don't understand...In my opinion, if the milkman is to winded, hurt, tired, dizzy, sick, ugly, ect, ect, to skate his frankenstein looking head back into the Defensive zone...then get on the bench and get some water and oxygen.
This is a philly power-play in the playoffs...conference finals too i believe. Malkin is nothing but lucky that the flyer player fanned. its and total and complete poor PK'ing effort by #71 in black and white.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 I get that you're being openly biased against him because he either doesn't play for your team and you don't like that or that he plays for the Pens. I mean what relevance does "frankenstein looking head" with this argument?
Anyways you can't argue a shorthanded goal in a "conference final" game as bad PK. The best PK there is is scoring. Christ dude, you don't like him, we get.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty It could have been anyone for any team, and it still would be a terrible effort. He charged on net on the PK and still missed the net...got dumped...and then made little or no effort to get back onto defense.
Even the announcer said he was "basket hanging." The dude was basically cherry picking in a conference final game on the PK...four thumbs down
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 once again he just got hit seconds before and was slow to his feet....and you have a problem because he didn't get back to play defense fast enough. But from his perspective, he just entered his zone after recovering from a pretty vicious hit, immediately saw that one of his men had the puck and rather then pointlessly moving in to wait for his teammate to dump the puck, he stayed back for a second and received a breakaway pass. Cherry picking whatever, a sh goal is a sh goal.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty the puck left the flyers zone at 0:9 and malkin recieves the pass at the opposing blue line at :26...whats that 17 seconds pass and malkin cant even clear the other zone? I don't know how you can even argue this....
Great defense by the pens which led to an absolutly huge goal for them...terrible effort on malkin ...nice shot...bad save attempt bad flyers PP. Thats the done deal imo.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 He recieced the pass at :17, not 26. He had 8 seconds to recover from a pretty damn hard hit. He saw his defense had the puck and hung back for a split second and converted that second into a long breakaway. I don't know how you can argue a SH goal is a terrible defensive effort on a on PK... really, you've made it clear before you don't like Malkin and you you favor Mike Richards. Are you from Philly or just a fan of the Flyers? Either way you're still being bias.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty yeah my bad, the clips 26 secs long None the less if the roles were reversed my thoughts would stay the same. His goal was 100% because of a fanned shot by RIchards. Nothing (besides the shot) malkin did in this situation was at all impressive.
And yes im from philly, and yes Richie is my boy. I remember the goal like anything, it changed the whole outlook of that game. But I still remember thinking this same exact thing when I saw it. it was a Pathetic effort on 71.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 Okay, well there's all I needed to know. A Philly fan scrutinizing Malkin despite the fact he scored a SH goal. Of course you're going to say that, you're from Philly. No one else would say scoring a sh goal in a conference final game was a pathetic effort.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty #71 or #99...there was no effort. Thats all I'm talking about.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 no effort would mean he wouldn't have done anything. He scored a short handed goal. That's not even close to nothing.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty You can defend Malkin all you want. My opinion isnt going to change.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 I know it won't change and neither will mine. A shorthanded goal is not a horrible effort to kill a penelty regardless of whatever player it is for whatever team.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty Malkin is a top skater in the NHL, and he gets paid big time to play these big minutes. This video is a good example (IMO) of why many fast super-star players (like ovy) don't get the very important PK time.
Watch #18 in black...He is just as deep in the flyers zone as 71...and then he is the first player back to brake up the play in the Pens zone and cause the turn over...leading to the goal. Thats how you kill a penalty...Get out the pen and paper Malkin.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 I agree with the first half of what you said. But #18 also just get leveled like Malkin did too. A few seconds to recover on a hit like that shouldn't be unexpected.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty The only reason he got hit was because he was trying to stick handle with his head down, on the PK, in the wrong zone, in front of the opposing teams net...He's lucky is was only 5'10 Richie hitting him and he was able to get up and Cherry Pick.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 he wasn't moving where he was at. It didn't matter if he raised his head or not, Richards came at him fast and hard. In the end, it was just a good hit by Richards. Anyways, now you have a problem with a foward carrying out a PK in the other teams zone? lol doesn't Richards do the same ALL THE TIME ???
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty It's real simple...watch 18 in black. Thats what I wanna see from 71 too. This goal goes to every Pen on the ice before 71.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 it's real simple, Malkin got hit hard, 18 in black didn't. Malkin took little time to recover before scorring a sh goal.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty ...no but he threw a body check at the same spot malkin did....then he skated back, got to his position, and forced the turn over leading to a SH goal. I really don't know why you keep posting defending Malkin on this. Nothing at all happened from him outside of cherry picking and a slap shot...This is a dead done deal. Malkin is not a 2-way player.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 He threw a body check, he didn't receive one, let alone the hard hit Malkin got. And didn't Malkin lead the league in takeaways last season? He had something like 93 takeaways, a few more then Pavel in the 2009 season? It was because of his back checking. He is a two way player, this year he had an off year but that will happen.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty like I said. This is a done deal.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 like i said, you're a bias philly fan calling a sh goal by pens star a terrible effort. Enought said.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty This has nothing to do with a team, player, or superstar bias. What team I wanted to win the game is completely irrelevant at this point. The outcome is done with. The flyers obviously played terrible in this video almost all around. And the Power Play effort at such a critical time was terrible (like it is many times). My argument has nothing to do with the specific teams or players. I've said that a few times too.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 yes it does. You arguing against Malkin from a biased perspective. lol you even called him frankenstein at one point...tell me what relevance does that have? My point is I can't trust the opinion of a Philly fan who makes comments like that.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty He looks like frankenstein with no bolts in the neck. Just because I think Malkin looks like Frankenstein(which you take personally as a negative comment) is also irrelevant. This also isn't an issue with trust. And you already showed just as equal a bias against philly fans. I could easily argue that your argument is completely based on some stereotype and bias against the fact that I'm from philly.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 Bringing a petty insult like that into a legitimate argument is enough proof that you're bias against him. As I said before, at the point you said it, it was irrelevant and had nothing to do with the video. It backs up my accusation that you don't like the guy. And I'm sorry for stereotyping Philly fans. I shouldn't have done that. Not all Philly fans hate the Pens but regardless if someone does hate them or not, I don't care. I'll only argue to the point of defending my team.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty "defending my team" --- you too are equally as biased ... Just stfu now. This is done.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 I defend my team against bias accusations like calling a sh goal a poor attempt of killing a penalty. And if it wasn't my team I would have ignored such a ridiculous statement...and there's nothing wrong with that.
Stfu? Getting a little too sensitive over an argument bud.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty nope completley tired with you and the argument. Your whole argument is based on a bias that I already said had no validity to it....and then you come out and say that you are Pens fan...I feel like im arguing with a child.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 haha talk about stereotyping...calling me a child because I'm a Pens fan?
And yes, once again, insulting how Malkin looks in the middle of an irrelevant argument should point out that you obviously don't like the guy and you are biased against him.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty No. Insulting a person is obviously irrelivant to this particular argument but it still means nothing. I think Scott Hartnell looks like a cave man, but that doesn't mean i don't like or hate the man as a hockey player. And the comment about you being a child was completely seperate from you being a pens fan. Your argument is completely backwards, and your accusation that I am biased is totally irrelivant now that we know that you would be equally as biased.........
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 but you chose to insult him in the middle of a legit argument, that's where you lost your cred. as being fair. Like you even said, it had nothing to do with the video, so why say it? You don't like the guy, it's cool. But my point is your hate is clouding your judgement, hence you being bias.
haha come on you called me a baby because I'm a Pens fan. Just admit it dude, you don't like the Penguins and you're bias against them.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty It had plenty to do with the video, it just had nothing to do with this particular argument. I said it like 5 times already...I'm totally agreeing with the fact that Malkin's ugliness is irrelivent when it comes to any conversation involving skill. For some reason you want to continue that if you insult someone then you loose credibility to even comprehend hockey in a logical manner. Further I expressed many times that none of it had to do with specifics like team or player.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 of course we ackowledged your comment as irrelevant. But that fact remains that it indicates you don't like Malkin, The placing and the timing of the comment come into consideration also. And so yes, when you obviously don't like a hockey player, you're credibility in regards to that hated hockey player, do go down. It's called being bias.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty I'm fully aware what being biased is. I'm not trying to hide that I don't like Malkin, but I'm not trying to underplay what happened either. My dislike for Malkin comes completely seperate from the skill he plays with. Statistics alone explain that Malkin is obviously a superstar hockey player.
And like I said, if you want to bring in the idea of a bias...then you also clearly have an issue as well. I could easily complain all day saying that your just being a homer with this...
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 being homer with what? haha you're complaining against a guy who had a sh goal. I guy that you dislike as well. lol dude who else would bitch about a hockey player getting a sh goal then someone who doesnt like him?
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty Not bitching about anything, I'm just saying that imo the effort put out by Malkin was weak and this goal deservingly belongs to the other three people he was playing with, before him.
And I also said like 100 times that my feelings to Malkin are seperate from my feelings about how #71 in black played in this video.
Who else would endlessly defend against this forever except a Pens fan.... Your totally biased as well and its as obvious as anything.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 first off the other three people were one...just Gonchar. Please stop letting your obvious hatred for Malkin get the better of your perception.
Is it just me or are #71 and Malkin the same player? I mean I don't know the guy personally off the ice, do you?
And your last question is stated incorrectly, or so I think so. I believe the question at hand should be stated as: why wouldn't someone endlessly defend a short handed goal in a conference final game?
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty No my point was the rest of the PK is who played hard and was deserving of this goal. Malkin (im sure he did) owed them at least a good job.
Yes 71 from the pens and malkin are the same people. The purpose was to eliminate the name...my point again was that this whole argument (from my point) is completely reguardless of the name on the jersey.
And no the question was right. It was more rhetorical though.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 he does deserve to thank them for putting effort into the penalty kill but they didn't do as much as assisting or scoring the sh goal.
Secondly, that's retarded, You called out Malkins name from the beginning of this argument all the way up until the third time I called you biased against him and you know that to be true.
And I know it was a rhetorical question, but I responded back with a legitimate question and you still haven't answered it yet.....
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty nope I answered both your questions
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 no you didn't. The question was, why wouldn't someone defend a sh goal in a conference final game? Or any game for that matter. A sh goal is a sh goal. The fact remains you're a bias troll searching internet videos on youtube, looking for ways to bring down nhl players you don't like.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty I answered that a million times. This isn't about the score sheet, its about effort. Malkin gets paid millions to get leveled and cherry pick in conference finals? Give some effort big man...
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 he got leveled like anyone else would in a vulnerable position like that. And don't even branch another argument off of this saying that he should have been in that position to begin with because that happens to every hockey player at some point. The fact remains he was slow to his feet because of a huge hit but regardless of this, he still scored a sh goal. A sh goal is a sh goal and his effort was the thing that caused it.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty negative. His lack of effort is what caused it. His un-willingness to skate hard back into his zone is what put him in position for a break away. Regardless of what you continue to say his effort was lame.
further he shouldn't have been in this position to begin with. On his initial rush he had a clean shot and passed it up. This allowed the defender to nullify the shot attempt which then put him in a very very vulnerable position...the common outcome is a hit like that.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 so now you're critisizing him for not taking the right shot at the right second? You do have it out for this guy, don't you?
But like I've been saying, he just took a huge hit and it was only seconds later he was able to score the sh goal. Again, I'll say it, a sh goal is a sh goal. You just don't like Malkin.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty Nope, again I'm critisizing him a lack of effort in a huge spot. Your attempt to overshadow this lack of effort was with the hit...so I took that further and added that he left himself vulnerable with a pretty selfish short handed break attempt.
I have it out for people who do dumb things like this, its not my fault that its malkin who did it. If this was Richards I would be equally dissapointed.
And yes I understand that SHG = SHG...So you can stop giving me this equation.
JimmyPage97 1 year ago
@JimmyPage97 you have it out for Malkin. His attempts lead him up to the sh goal and yet you still continue to critisize him for it, disregarding the final result. You're bias against him man.
jimmofosty 1 year ago
@jimmofosty Nope. His team is what helped him get that goal. And further the video is what it is, and his effort is what it is. A bias is completely irrellivent imo. His lack of effort was completely apparent and I remember saying it the second I saw this live on the day. The one and only reason that I dislike malkin is for this reason exactly...if you want to be considered as a big time NHL player you need to do everything, PK and defense included. This is Malkin 101...Stat sheet.
