I remember Little and Large being in a live show I saw with The Searchers, The Zombies and Dionne Warwick many moons ago, when they were known as 'Little and Large' so they have been going a long time!
They all look like they're having such a fun time together in this clip and I think 'When You Walk in the Room' sounds really good... apart from Eddie Large's guitar bit.... but I love it and think it's great... and shows what fun they all had in the good old days!!!
Gosh this brings back memories. I love these guys and cannon and ball. When comedy was real comedy. I wish I could go back in time and see these guys again.

This a great example of an older style of comedy-led variety. It was a well liked format where the comedians introduced music acts and tried to join in. Perhaps the most famous exponents of this style were Morcambe and Wise where the stars queued up to be made fools of in a gente way.

The little one is now doing guttering in the grimsby area, dont know about the large guy I know he worked as hotdog seller when the TV work dried up, I read it in Bella in the 80`s and Bella dont lie.
why has this type of comedy gone of the tv .all we have now is unfunny sitcoms and comedians i wouldnt go down the local to see.i seen these at butlins and they were mint.
Although the big guy pushing around the thin guy routine had been done before (Laurel & Hardy), it still worked for Syd and Eddie and provided clean, wholesome entertainment on a Saturday teatime for the whole family to enjoy. They had their own show for 14 years!
Read ur first comment, you said yourself that he's a nice guy. don't judge someone if you don't know them yourself. I can't comment on his relationship with sid but from my own encounters with him i can assure you he IS a nice guy.
He had a triple heart bypass not too long ago but is recovering well. He's still a very nice guy. He's a family friend so i'd be grateful if you could be a bit more courteous about him.

It was that cabaret/holiday camp type of English humour. The best stuff comes out of music hall, working men's clubs, universities or general observation of real life. The Butlins stuff like Little and Large/Cannon and Ball/Bobby Davro/Shane Ritchie is just depserate attention seeking.

I actually saw The Searchers with Little and Large in 1964 only they were then known as "Syd and Eddie" in those days!!!!
