So, String Theory was a failure and they go back to recycle the name of Blind Melon? Bands going on when the only known by name member of the group is dead sickens me. You are now a cover band stuck on the state fair circuit gentlemen. And I don't give a good god damn if Shannon 'I'm a dumbass junkie' Hoon's mother gave the ok to use the name. Jimi's father started licensing his music for commercials, does that make it ok?

@Medijuana420 You sound like a super asshole. The band members were all very close with shannon.They miss him. They wouldn't go on if they thought it would be disrespectful to shannon. And the band was just as much theirs as it was shannons. Would you be as pissed if they went on without the drummer? Shannon didn't even write their most popular song, no rain.

@Medijuana420 The thing is the band had a really good thing going for them and then shannon lost the battle. He was one of a kind. He had a voice that I feel in my soul. But the band deserves the chance to go on. If you don't like their music don't listen to it. Thats fine. Who cares. By the way shannon loved his mom a lot and its totally disrespectful to say that. If his own mother approves (and his daughter) I think he would. You don't even sound like a fan.

good point. Though the willowz singer has that original edge that shannon has. this guy is not that original. probably anyone that takes over shannon's job would get her approval..she seems nice...i just feel that the new guy cheeses shannon out, so deep down inside, i think that his mom knows shannon was much more unique. Have you heard the Willowz'singer?...just wondering. sometimes he sounds exactly like shannon

The Willowz singer does have that high end range... But, I'm a huge supporter of Travis, and the band. I think they made the perfect choice... Travis' background and love for Shannon and the band makes it all the more special.
