@172677 The reading of the Constitution today wasnb't complete either. They just passed right over a lot...because it doesn't fit in with their ideas....what a farce.  This reminds me of the Gingrich "Contract with America"...that was all baloney and so is this Congress... I'll say one thing: it was different to see Boehner sober, standing erect, speaking without slurring and managing to keep his eyes open.

It's about time, the democrats put up these ads. That part about financial market regulations hit the mark. It clearly states what the GOP is for (let-the-banks-loose-policy) and what the Dems fought for (sound market regulation). To quote Coumbia University's Jeffrey Sachs: "To have a market [i.e. the subprime market] grow to the size of the world economy before our eyes without ONE single regulator asking ONE question about it is a shocking, shocking deriliction of basic responsibility..."
