  • hard breaking done correctly by some that has some "natural" power in their muscles should easily pierce a wall with a cue ball :D

  • Just go watch another video bitch below me

  • are you hitting the mic or what are you doing to get so horrible sound. plz record this again without all the crap noices..

  • Are u reading off a piece of paper?

  • play some pool man.

  • Thanks, man, I really do appreciate your video.

  • BOORIIIING!

  • 1,717,771 Views... wow, how lucky am I? haha

  • Maybe you answered this in another video (I looked but I could have missed it) Q. On a break where should I hit the cue? For instance, can I benefit from front spin? What angle should the cue strike the head ball? Of if it varies, then what factors into that decision? (I'm interested more in 8-ball than 9-ball) Thanks

  • I've been playing billiard's for a while but I always tend to brake and the white balls jumps out of the table. I hit the white balls at the middle....Why?

  • I feel like Pedo Bear is watching when I hear him speak.

  • It was so so

  • I'm interested in doing a physics model now to study optimal breaking grips.

  • the more thought u put into a break, the worse it is. winging it never fails. breaking it down to a science helps NO ONE! thinking about it tenses my muscles! lol

  • This helped me a lot! Thank you

  • uvuh@hotmail.com

  • i love a tight rack

  • @YoungUltimateHero "if you suspect a loose rack, strike a second row" ;) 5:03

  • I learn alot from this. Thanks for uploading!

  • Really like your videos. haven't looked at them all yet, but if you don't have one, could you show some techniques on where to break an 8 ball or 9 ball rack?

  • a so a as I was saying a you a must do aa the following aa just aaa :( I tired of this "aa"

  • great vid helped a whole lot

  • Sorry i wanna say something... Can you make a video unlike this with picture only. And i mean the whole tutorial, and btw you did a really good job on the guide i learned alot.

  • Comment removed

  • I THINK YOU DID A FANTASTIC JOB ON THE VIDEO AN AM GOING TO WORK ON SOME OF THE THINGS YOU SHOWED THANK YOU

  • i use this video to hear his voice, when i could not sleep

  • @EmersonFarrugia omg lol I thought it was just me..

  • @Mampz147 lool

  • I hate for my balls to be dirty, slimy and dinged up too

  • Fuckin poser

  • Nice work! But god damn show us a break!

  • If you want to get rid of most of the audio peaks which result from using a hard T, P, B, etc. try taking the cloth sound guard off of a speaker and speak through the fabric into the microphone. Another way would be to use women's nylons (for their legs) and wrap one around a wire clothes hanger you've formed into a circle. It's the same concept, but either method will provide drastically improved audio.

  • you don't even get to see the balls break after all that lecture

  • you speak like a death pool player ...

  • goooooo roooooooo ahahaha:D love this guy

  • Nice video. Useful information. I am a pool rookie. So a lot of terms flew over my hear. Will check out your other videos to pick up other techniques. Thanks for making the video. cheers

  • Do you recommend the soft gloves opposed to the chalk? If so, which kind of gloves? Thanks.

  • I would have liked to see some actual breaks recorded, but still very informative. I'll have to give these tips a try.

  • lol dirty slimy dinged up balls

  • Great tips man. Thanks for putting in the effort

  • Very intelligently narrated video. I learned a good deal from you on this, for which I'm very grateful.

  • people, in the end all that matters is what is comfortable to you and what fits the best to your break :)

I, for an example use the cushion as my support to the hand and use my whole body to createthe whole power of the shot!

in my case, I get a break with some incredible force that almost always gets one ball to the pot (I made a high score of 6 balls on the break with this technique)

  • borrrrrrrrrring

  • @Grant5567 Yeah. Totally not enough explosions in this tutorial on shooting pool...

  • Can you put a spin into the cue ball in a break simultaneously giving it some force??

  • @cobipal1 yes you can!

if you aim higher on the cue, you will get an amazing front spin but the ball would jump off the table if you give it too much spin so consider your spin wisely :)

(you can also do any other spin as long you don't aim to high on the ball)

if you devide the ball into 2 sections: left edge to center and right edge to center, hit in the middle of that line (even alittle closer to center) and wherever you want the cue to go, just go on that line across the radius :D

  • thank you

  • lol 296 people still dont know how to break

  • cool vid, just one thing which isnt gd in my opinion, the glove, i was told by alot of top players ive met and played with that the glove isnt good cos u have to be able to feel the cue on ur bridgehand so u dnt lode the feel of the shot, use powder instead, its much better and can improve someones game alot

  • what the fuk demo like that??

  • Where did you get that hammock?

  • Nice glove....use chalk, or just do without like a real pool player.

  • He's good at reading books...

  • Thanks so much :-) I just started playing pool and your videos are really helpful. Thanks again :)

  • Thanks so much! I just started playing pool and am trying to learn as much as I can - your videos are helping a lot. Thanks again!

  • His voice creeps me out!!

  • @swdiva01 BOOOOOO!!!!!!

  • @forcefollow great video tutorial. Thank you from Samoa.

  • @swdiva01 LOL

  • @swdiva01

What is wrong with his voice? I am not understanding why his voice sounds creepy to you. I am not trying to be a buttnuggett or anything, just curious. Maybe, your speakers or audio settings are tweaked. Does everything else sound the way it should?

  • @swdiva01 You don´t have to listen to anything, just turn the video off get fuck out of here...can you even realize, how much time it takes to create this learning series for him? No, you can´t ... too little inteligence to understand.

  • @swdiva01 i actually like his voice lol

  • Do you think you can clear the table in less then 44 seconds? If so take the '8 Ball Pool Challenge' at Konkura.com

  • Haven't seen ur BREAK in this vid

  • I can't believe how much I learned within one video. Thank you for the time.

  • holding technique please, different styles of holding the front end of pool stick. bad ass glove by the way thats doing it pro.

  • thanks u made me cream my dad 1st try! keep up the good work

  • im goin to a house party tonight... :)

  • Thanks a lot mate

  • Nice work FF. Your different exercise drills help out alot as well. Love this vid. Thanks for showing me how to do a power break properly!!

  • Great video (not suprisingly)...thanks for sharing your knowledge and advice...it really helps my game alot

    LINBROOKS BILLIARDS TEAM MEMBER

  • Thanks!...Keep up the good work!

  • what kind of cue are you using in this video? is it a Predator SPJL? the wrapped sneak pete style???

  • I really enjoyed the video. I subscribed, and will be watching the others you've posted as well. I got a nice table (Gibson model, by Brunswick), a few years back, but haven't been able to get past a certain level of playing. Books haven't really helped, I'm hoping watching, and using some tips from your videos will improve my game. Thanks for taking the time to make these.

  • I like to use a open bridge when striking the Q-Ball on the break with the pool.

  • @azoldtime09 I think you misheard that bit, he says offending player, not opposing player.

  • is it true you need a break cue? thanks for all your help.

  • I learned something today about the benefits of a soft or hard break. In the past, I used to just try and hit the rack with as much brute force as I can-and my break is good, but sometimes I scratch or fly off the table. Now I will try your method and see how it works for me. I also find gripping the cue a little higher has helped me to get a stronger break and most time, I'll squat the ball right in the middle of the table. Thanks so much for the vid! Great job! I'm always willing to learn!

  • so a schmarn ! einfach bolzen!

  • Thank you for your awesome pool teachings. Very informative and educational. Thanks again.

  • 5:52 so true!

  • who can be fucked watching this sorta shit

  • Ty for this awsome informative vid. im trying to improve my game. and this helped alot!

  • A very informative video. Now i know what to do when breaking. Thx =)

  • (Y)

    will done

  • Thanks!! You're GOod!!

  • i know this is irrelevant to this video but i still dont get the hang of moving my arm to use the cue. I understand how i need to keep the arm still and only move the forearm but do u let it loosely fall down with a flick to the wrist or push the cue.

    nice video btw :)

  • Thanks for the video. Great information. I need all the tips I can get to improve my game.

  • Great video man, very informative and easy to understand. Along with what you said I found one of the keys to a great break is practice strokes....feeling that power build up with each stroke. I observe people when im not playing...and your absolutely right about some people not pulling back far enough before they break.

Im going to check out more of your videos I could learn a few things!

  • watching all these crap pool tutorial videos really makes me appreciate guys like u

who put all these effort and who really know what they are talking about. thank u very much, forcefollow! keep working :)

  • Very good tips. Well-made video. Thanx.

  • I get way more power holding the cue furthur back as that creates a longer

stroke. Will practice leaving the cueball in the center of the table after the break.

Use to go Kama Kazi with some heavy top. May not make as many balls on the 9 ball break, but also may scratch like never. Thanx.

  • i cant wait to use your advice and kick my friends ass in pool. Your advice was nice good work. if i had money i would tip

  • great video, ive been playing pool for a year now and love it and that has taught me alot

  • so lift your head higher when your stroking it? well ok I'll try that but I thought this was about playing pool.

  • 269 people are retards.

  • Good Instruction. I wish it also included how what was described in breaking techniques is seen in practice. It would have been helpful to put everything that was said and see an example after-wards.

  • nice video, great tutorial. A re patrida!!!

  • hey, i've a question. i've this problem where my cue ball flies up after the break. i don't understand why? any idea? it's a really nice video man. learnt alot of stuff.

  • Thanks xD great video

  • dude thank you for all the hard work you put into making your videos. I have learned a lot keep up the good work.

  • @rafi77 Reading a comment like this makes all of the effort worth it.

  • @rafi77 Thank you for the comment. It means alot.

  • @rafi77 I double ThaT

  • @rafi77

    I second what u said^^

  • this was very useful, thank you.

  • almost everyone (myself included-sometimes) in the school pool room loses the ball past the headrail

I am noticing that lately, when i break, the cue always draws to the rail closest to me. i want the cue ball to jump up into the middle of the table. do i need to raise the butt of the cue more?

  • good advice----it improved my game a lot----thanks

  • no le

  • where are the hot babes? :P just kiding :D great video

  • thank you so much i never thought that if u loosened ur muscles your break in power would be more effective this friday i will go to the pool hall see the results i will be sure to give the results

  • can the cut break possibley be a third type of break?

  • nice work, thx!

  • Dirty slimy dinged up balls lol

  • follow all your videos on here, fan on facebook, donated to your charity. huge fan. please always make videos. loving the new lighting and camera.

  • @Jas0nP Hey thanks for the comment and thanks for supporting the charity. Camera and lighting is about to get even better. Don't forget to tell your friends about the videos.

    Take care,

    Marcus

  • @forcefollow good video, but the only time an opponent has disavantage on a scratch on the break is 8-Ball, not in 9-Ball, and Rotation.

  • do you have email addy, couple questions would like to ask or a site i could go through. Im from the Uk and just getting into this game, after playing the english game for many years.

    sean

  • haha "normal stroking stance"

  • Thanks for posting this video

  • thank you, i now know what i was doing wrong on my break!!!

  • Worst video ever

    Ps.I'm joking

  • good vid dude, shame it didn't show a break , but i'm sure ppl will benefit alot more see'ing thier own success at breaking, after taking your 101 of breaking ^_^

  • Very informative, I had never given much thought to breaking, aside from massive power and cue location afterwords.

I have trouble getting the cue ball to rest in center table after the break, I haven't had a chance to view your other videos, so I'm not sure if you have addressed this yet, but it would be nice to have you describe the best methods to achieve this.

  • @TheMedicalman There are a lot of pool halls (and bars) that do not allow powder to be used. A cleaner alternative is using a glove. You will also get a consistant feel of the shaft while stroking the cue. World class champions like Earl Stricklin and Johnny Archer use gloves during game play.

  • Thank you for the video,i found it helpfuly. I am trying to master the second ball break from 3 in. off the side rail at the head string, and it is great when hit well and REALLY SUCKS when not hit well.

  • thanks!

  • ahahaa they jack the butt of the cue

  • Great video. thx

  • Great video, this will help me a lot next time I'll play again. I'm definately subscribing to check your ohter vids.

    Thank you

  • Where should you hit the cue ball, and what about the eye pattern?

  • good video, thank you

  • thank you alot, i was having trouble breaking 9 ball, but thx to this video i have started making better breaks

  • @Pool4Junkie79 Glad I could help.

    Take care,

    marcus

  • @forcefollow

do you have email, im from the uk got a couple questions i would like to ask.

    great vid by the way

  • loved the vid, thanks.

  • his tips are good although there arent any moving examples

  • what is your BCA9 ball rating

  • @9414742141 I have never shot in a BCA 9 ball league. In BCA 8 ball league play I have never shot below a 9.

  • Thanks for the explanation. I'm learning both english and play billard...!

  • you actually don't have to have your head up when you do a "power break". If you watch pros break, many of them are low on the cue like they would be for a normal shot. The break is not all about how hard you swing your arm, like some people believe. It's about how the cue ball is hit, and how perfect the swing of the arm is. Also, if the rack is loose: DO NOT BREAK! RE-RACK THE BALLS FIRST! I would never choose to break a loose rack in a tournament, it could be the cause of a loss.

  • Like the backpause part, I gave it a try and I think it helped. Need to do more trial and error to make sure though.

  • 901,000th!!!!

  • @soprisrb Funny. I guess he's saying this looks like a porno ForceFollow. I guess that's a good thing. After all, we're learning this game for the chicks ;P

  • Pretty helpful, bro :)

  • Thanks man post some more your really helping me out

  • nice

  • I'm gonna go have a power stroke right now. Practice my shorter deeper grip.

  • Awesome man. You have greatly helped my breaking technique with this one video.

  • Great tips, though I have no idea what the wrist pop is. Also, you can give all the tips you want, but until I see what each break looks like (for each tip), I don't get a good idea of what it does.

  • So much talk about balls breaking o.o

  • lool :D

  • 9 ball pool is pointless, someone can pot all the boys then the next guy pots the 9 ball and wins, wheres the justice there??

  • The justice there is that you would equally have the same opportunity to pot the 9 ball if they happen to run out all the other balls but miss the 9. The difference in consistently winning 9 ball comes down to your consistency/run out ability..defense ..etc..the luck/unlucky situation would then be diminishing as skill level increase. i d k if I'm making sense =x

  • thanks man ur video will help me tonight in not look like a looser.... tonight! well i guess it cant be tooo bad

  • thanks, your videos are great. cant wait to practice!

  • Hey, thanks for the nice tips.

  • good
