Does vitex cause you to get lighter periods? I have not had my period for a year because of birth control, but I just got my period with vitex and it is lighter than normal. Is this ok?

I have been off depo for 4 months now and still no sign of a period. Can I take Vitex to balance the hormones in my body? will this help me get my period back? My husband and I have been trying for a baby.

@rachag419 Many of our clients have had success with vitex. It does take some time to work though. There are some other things you can look into such as diet, fertility cleansing and herb Dong Quai. Check out my website, there is a ton of info on there for all these therapies.

I have been trying for a baby for over six months. I am going to start taking vitex and don quai tonight. And of course the wonderful Fertility Smoothie. Anyone else have any suggestions on increasing our fertility and conception. I am 32 years old.

I am ingesting the dried berries, rather than a vitamin or tincture. I've been taking 1 tsp daily for about two months ... how can I know if I'm getting the right dosage? I'm in Israel, and don't know any natural practioners here.

I have been taking Vitex for over a month. I am trying to get my ovulation back after taking the pill for 8 years. I have taken it through my period. Will that hurt me or my chances of getting pregnant?

hi i am only 19 i am sexually active, i am sure not to be pregnant , but i have not had my period in 6 months and its always been on n off, i was on birth control for about 4 months wen i was 16 n then about 5 months when i was 17 bcuz i was told my body was running like if i was pregnant i had high prolactive level... i want to know if i can take theses pills to help get my period back.. p.s am not trying to have a baby i just want a regular period and to be able to b a mom in the feature

@9391alexa Hi Alexa, there are many reasons that a period can stop. Too many reasons for me to personally guess what is happening with you. I have a guide on my site you can do some research on. I am not able to put the link here though. You may also want to speak to your doctor or a natural practitioner to help you determine the cause so you may do something about it.

@BunnieBird Fertility herbs and herbs that can have an effect on your hormones should not be taken with clomid or any other fertility medication. We do not know what the effects will be. The only herb that has been studied in conjunction with clomid is tribbulus.

my dr. wants to put me on150mg of clomid but it just keeps making me sick and what do you think about royal jelly would that really help me ovulate and can i take that with clomid? Sorry for so many questions and again thanks so much for the help and answers♥

i just started taking this an my period should be arriving any day now. i have not read a single thing about not taking it while on my period. why do you recommend this? what are the risks in your opinion

@OoOminouOoo There are two ways to use it- all month long or a break during period. Generally during the cycle I suggest most herbs to be discontinued while menstruating. But it works different for each woman.

Vitex is awesome i have pcos and i have about 2 periods a year! started taken vitex and now she comes alot more often!! i am ttc so this gives me hope, i can not afford fertility treatments !

I stopped taking birth control February of this year and after two months of taking Vitex, my periods finally returned. They were so regular, I managed to calculate for three months in a row when the first day was going to be. It really does help. Just do not take if you are pregnant. :)
