"shabua" is translated as jubilee years, sets of 50, equaling 6000 years. One of the many instances in which he tells us his plans.

@SylentWonder, You're right. No one knows the day. But these are just educated guesses. The 6000th year according to the Bible is either from 1996 (according to Ussher) until about 2070-2090, according to other theologians. Also, the hebrew year is not 360 days. It's 365. The only time the Bible uses a 360 day year is when the "Seventy Sevens" Prophecy was given. The tribulation period is a few days shorter than 7 years.

It has since been discovered that a lot of Egyptian dynasties existed at the same time.

For example the 15th existed at the same time as the 16th and the 17th and they believe the 15th lasted from 1660BC til about 1530BC whilst there are no known dates for the 16th and the 17th but they are believed to have existed at the same time as the 15th and the 18th dynastie succeded these three.

I am just saying we can't reliable conclude that the Egyptian empire is 10,000 years long or longer.

The Bible tells a 7,000 year story. To God 7,000 years are 7 days. From the time of Adam to 2008 there have been almost 6,000 years or 6 days. The Bible describes in detail what will be happening between now, 2008, and the End of the Age.

Therefore, I estimate that we have in the neighborhood of between 20 and 30 years before Christ's return. Maybe Less.

I partially agree with you, and would love to discuss this more with you. I truley think that it is the end as well. If you have any other good reading on end times and prophecy I would love to know. But I do not believe that ANY of the seals have been open yet. I most definitly believe in a PRE-TRIB rapture. By the way Jesus' first coming was in 5BC. He was bapisted in 27AD beginning the 70th week. He was killed on the cross in the middle of the last week bringing the animal sacrices to an end. The gospel went to the Gentiles at the end of the 70th week when Stephen was stoned. Modern day Israel has nothing to do with the Bible. What happened in 1948 means nothing. Israel is the church today

Okay Daniel 9:25 talks about the time from when the decree to restore Jerusalem until the annointing of the Messiah. When did the annointing happen? At his baptism.

When Jesus was born his name was not Jesus Christ but Jesus of Nazareth. Christ means Messiah. Jesus wasn't called the Messiah the Christ until after his baptism.
