  • your title says it all--afrocentrism is for dummies.

  • Africa unite! 'Cause we movin' right out of Babylon! And we goin' to our father's land! Yeeaey!

Why is it so wrong for me, a white person, to sing that song? :(

  • "Brand New Culture" You are absolutely right! People think just because they are mixed with Black it makes them 100% Black. Thats not true, they are a fraction Black and whatever else. Theres an American rule that when you have one drop of Black blood you are considered fully Black. I think that mentality creates all these other problems when mixed people or even Blacks try to assimilate into the wider national culture. Afrocentrism and Eurocentrism are so irrelevant in a globalized world.

  • actually there are still tribes in Europe its just not called "a tribe" its called other things because of this thing that Rome would go to war for "Civil society" and Rome indeed used "Civilization" as their reason over and over just like we go to war today to fight "Anti-Terrorism" today.

  • Um newsflash there *ARE* still hundreds of tribes in Africa. Yes there are skyscrapers high rise buildings and CEOs and other modern things. I think tribes is a good thing not a bad thing however. Other cultures from Europe will say tribes are a bad thing because we come from a post-Rome era. aka: Rome controls everything everywhere *or else* era. So that's why I feel tribes are a good thing, the tribes in Europe got eliminated a long time ago because of greed and power.

  • Lol that picture made me think bout weed.

    LooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooL

  • I am black, well actually half black half indian, but i identify myself as a full black man, it true i agree wit whoeva said black ppl r struggling to keep their own culture, we cant really identify ourselves anymore, no one can neither the whites, indian or chinese, we r no longer in the pre historic era, we have evolved sooner in tha future tha world will b one race and one culture, hell race an culture wont matter anymore where tha color of ur skin is concerned, we all r one!

  • i totally agree with you. i use to have locks for fashion.

the whole thing with history is true. am from ST.VINCENT.

  • SHUT THE F UP U REALLY TALK TO DAMN MUCH SHHHHHHHHHHHHHIIIITTTT!

  • Shut the fuck mayne wasted 10:49 mins of mine time

  • hey dream would you think that the image that ppl have of africa yes it be wrong but should be the way ppl think of it in the sense that the world still has its basic nature of beauty and that big cities and things like that have no influence here that africa is just the one place that time forgot even tho it is not

  • wow ur in your 20's ? You have more sense than some 42 year olds..

  • love dis vid

  • What was before Africa~we NEVER ask this question! Lets start to seek true HISTORY-Creation. Then we will understand true history of THE HUMAN RACE. You will be surprised at what you find. Basically ONE BIG dysfuntional HUMAN family.

  • @TheCionTheory We do actually understand that pretty good.

  • @TheCionTheory we had pangea one continent south pole and africa eurasia australia and america conected

OBTW im sorry if i misunderstood your question

  • You are so right. We are taught everything except what really matters......to us. Thanks for sharing! Very much appreciated!

  • So is this supporting the league of niggers + monkeys?

Basically the same thing, they should form an alliance and fight white people.

Rise of the apes and niggers!

  • Afrocentrism is racism

  • @xxDanielTM93xx its the opposite actually. Eurocentrism is rasicst because it only recognizes European things . Afrocentrism incorporates more than just Africa

  • @jeangrey18 euro-centrism incorporates more than just europe. its just veiwing the world from a euro centric veiw point. just as afrocentrism is afro centric, its in the language ass bag. we dont need africa, africa needs us.

  • @Justo320 You're so ignorant its funny. And im not an ass bag. What do you mean we don't need Africa? What would the world be without Africa? Nothing since thats where civilization started.

  • @jeangrey18 ow im sorry, how old is your civilization? how well is it doing now? i didnt realise Cro-Magnons were in africa... sorry... also if you want the cradle of modern civilization, its Sumeria. not some lip disking, afro idealogical veiw of civilization. yes humans came out of africa but then we continued to evolve. it didnt stop when we grew thumbs.

  • @Justo320 "yes humans came out of africa but then we continued to evolve." So Africa stopped evolving? "also if you want the cradle of modern civilization, its Sumeria. not some lip disking, afro idealogical veiw" So no part of Africa contributed to the world? Thx- all I need to know....

  • @newfish09 no it didn't, not to modern civilization. apart from being slaves. if you try and claim the pyramids as your own they are not yours, some of you may have built them, as slaves, but it was the modern day Persians who are the most likely descendants of the ancient Egyptians. Afrocentric research is grounded in identity politics and myth rather than scholarship, that is because you guys have no REAL notable history, if u did u would have a lot more to show for it.

  • @Justo320 @jeangrey18 @xxDanielTM93xx Other than being slaves over and over again. Nice take at history not claiming that That there were no other strong nations and builders of African decent. Something tells me you are a subconscious racist Justo.

  • @Justo320 Africa needs us- an obvious Eurocentric View. Afrocentrism is about more than Africa, perhaps more every thing else than Africa.

  • after i heard this i think ill be a racist...

  • this smaly needs to f#####k off and go grow some brains. i bet he is bald

  • go back to your cave jameservin you halfcut mutant

  • Here's how to get in touch with your African roots: move there!

cont: But in Ireland, the highpoint of Irish Celtic culture arose during the early Christian period, when the rest of Europe was plunged into the Dark Ages. Ireland's Celtic-Christian culture, exemplified by the glorious illustrated gospel texts, religious artifacts and free-standing cross sculptures, was crucial in keeping alive the flame of civilization.

  • @everagej sorry for the repeats and the similarly-worded posts, I didn't realize the first two went through since I'm on a different computer than usual

  • sokokokokoko

The following is a quote from Celtic Culture

Origins & History of Celts: Hallstatt/La Tene Cultures: Language, Arts, Crafts, Designs.

cont: Also, in a wider sense, Celtic cultural traditions helped to keep Iron Age Europe in touch with developments occurring in other parts of the known world, notably the Mediterranean basin, and thus contributed to the general cultural progress of the era.

  • sokokokokoko

The following is a quote from Celtic Culture

Origins & History of Celts: Hallstatt/La Tene Cultures: Language, Arts, Crafts, Designs.

The introduction of the iron plough and iron tools (including weapons), was a major contribution to European development. So too was Celtic Metalwork, (involving both Hallstatt and La Tene designs) which has rarely been exceeded in design or execution.

  • sokokokokoko

Prove it. By which measurement are you comparing the research to? Much of African centered scholarship is legit. When you actually study it you learn to separate the fake scholars from the true scholars. In fact, the African centered research that I have read always list legitimate references. You cannot put all African centered scholars in one category and that is what you are doing.

  • Anyway, I think the uploader is kind of a clown so it's not like I'm completely on his side--I don't even think he's completely spot-on in this video, but his comments about black women in other videos are plain uncalled for. I haven't dated a white girl in ages, but I wouldn't post a video talking shit about white girls for the whole world to see. I'm simply not as attracted to them as girls of other races--some people call it self-hate, I call it taste.

  • @sokokokokoko

So, are you identifying as a White male of Hispanic ethnicity? That being Puerto Rican. I think this habit of choosing a person based on race and color is beyond rather or not you have self-esteem. Our society place to much emphasis on race and color when judging people. As a result, we use them as criteria even when selecting partners. It may not be self-hate, you may have a positive self esteem but you may be using stereotypes and prejudice to influence your choices.

  • generosos87:

I study history and it still doesn't change the fact that White privilege is real and it existed for centuries and many White people have gotten into many educational institutions, better neighborhoods, received the housing and car loans, received better jobs, better pay, etc.. w/o being the most qualified or having their finances in order but simply b/c they were White. You need to do more research on the subject and stop living in denial.

  • generosos87:

It was White Europeans who sold their OWN people to the Muslim North Africans. It was profitable. Furthermore, it was White Europeans who enslaved their own people in Europe as well as in the U.S. in the early colonial era in the Americas before slavery became a race based institution. Also, the Spanish Inquisition were about White folks screwing over other White folks. So, if we use your reasoning, you have nothing but yourselves to blame for that B.S.

  • generosos87:

Yeah, your not right bright. A century is 100 years. When I say centuries, I am referring to the past 500 plus years. White privilege existed and continues to exist in the U.S. and throughout the Americas as well as other countries colonized by White Europeans. Again, I know all that history, but it still doesn't erase the truth that for the past 500 plus years White people, in general, benefit from White privilege where they are the dominant ruling group.

  • Frowardkiller: Prove that more than half of their heritage is European. African Americans heritage is not more than half European, not by genetics and not by cultural practices and traditions. Again, you are very ill informed on African American culture and you just proved it with that ignorant comment.

  • There are many European Americans who claim their homelands in Europe and not criticized for it. What's the problem with connecting with your ancestral homelands? If you don't want to be African or connect with your African roots, do you. I will proudly claim being a person of African descent while I enjoy my soul and r&b and throw down on my soul food--by the way is African influenced and has nothing to do with the Caribbean. Stop w/ your stereotypes and mis information. You sound stupid.

  • Thumb up if you clicked on this because you thought the picture was a woman holding her giant tits.

  • Afrocentrism and Zionism the same clowns. Afrocentrism is another word for atheist bigots.

  • everyone has their own opinions. i love the fact that people are embracing african heritage. sometimes opinions are better left unsaid.

  • who are u

  • relaxer really isnt good for r scalp and stuff. i dont know anything bout going crazy. man there are many toxic chemicals in there

  • relaxers also cause cancer just like smokeing.

  • its very rare to find an african american who wears locks, has pictures of africa on their clothes and want to go back to africa and stuff like that. most black people here, in america, dont seem to care about africa that much. a black guy i talked to once joked around about people in nigeria eating lions.

  • @sfsTrader

You haven't been around enough African Americans

  • BLAQUE INDIGO EXPOSED, GOOGLE IT.

  • Very good video by the way.

  • LOLOLOLO

This is soooooooo true! I know people who are like this and I never got it.

  • My Trini g/f's hair can be blow-dried straight... lucky me right? And I hate it, I can't stand long straight hair it's effing boring zzzzzz and I think her natural hair (loosely kinky and curly) makes her RADIANT... but she loves to show it off so it's nearly always straight. Grr.

Then again I'm a white guy that's not all that attracted to white girls so what do I know.

  • My brothas I am here to tell you not to listen to this Uncle Tom fool.

And to you dreamreborn, you are a fool. Educate yourself. You are a disgrace to the African race.

  • Blackman, I am here to tell you you have been lied to. The Most Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught that we are descendents of the tribe of Shabazz. The blackman is the original man. The Krakkka has whitewashed our history. The truth is that we invented science including all modern science. The whiteman stole science and technology from us. Jesus was a blackman, Muhammad pbuh was a blackman, Allah is black. When we were an advanced civilisation the whiteman was crawling on all fours in caves. Hotep

  • @BillyFeynman

Why, because that's the way you wish it was? I'm Irish, Polish and Puerto Rican... all three cultures did not exactly contribute a whole lot to human civilization, look in a history book, but I'm not ashamed. I eat my arroz con gandules and drink my Guinness but I'm an individual first and an American second so if I'm going to be proud of anything it'll be of how I live my life and my own personal contributions to society.

  • @sokokokokoko

You miss the point. People of African descent has been LIED to about their history and told they contributed nothing to the history of human civilization and told b/c they contributed nothing, they were inferior, savage, less than human, etc...made to feel and believe they were inferior to stay in bondage and for white folks to justify their exploitation of people of African descent. That is flat out wrong. Also, you don't know your own history pal.

  • @everagej I'm aware that in the late 1800s and early 1900s white scientists were obsessed with trying to figure out why they were superior (apparently the idea that Europe's geological features were simply more suited for industrialization had never occurred to them) and most history and some anthropology books contain misinformation to this day. On the other hand, many ideas put forth by afrocentrist folks are equally as misinforming. That what I meant.

  • @sokokokokoko

Cont. I mean does the Celtic civilization ring a bell to you? Are you aware of the political power of Poland--historically? Also, last time I checked Puerto Rico is filled with people of different nationalities all contributing to the uniqueness of that country and if you look hard enough you will find greatness. Also, if history books are bias in European favor, I would question whether or not they are largely factual.

  • @everagej Dude, the Celtic and Polish civilizations gave the world not much more than food and music. As opposed to say, gunpowder from China, mathematics from Persia and India, science and philosophy in the Protestant parts of Europe during the enlightenment. I'm most in touch with PR culture cuz I actually eat the food and listen to the music on the regular--the fact that I have blond hair and blue eyes and speak crappy Spanish negates that in other people's eyes, which is annoying.

  • @sokokokokoko

What you know about the Celtic culture is very little from your response. I am African American and know they contributed more than food and music. I like studying history--All of it. Also, the people of the Nile Valley Civilization invented mathematics. Science and philosophy does not has its origins in the protestant parts of Europe during the enlightenment--the Nile Valley Civilization in Africa was using advanced forms of science way before that.

  • Comment removed

  • @everagej I didn't mean science was invented in Protestant Europe, that would be a claim only a white supremacist could make. I meant the science from that era is the direct ascendant of today's scientific methodology. I would also say no one culture invented mathematics. I do know things like, say, the Indians and Mayans separately "invented" the concept of zero--at the same time, the Romans never did.

  • @everagej btw I know "Nile Valley Civilization" is a term used by Pan-Africanists, which seems to me like an attempt to connect Egypt with sub-Saharan Africa. My take on it is that sub-Saharan Africa doesn't NEED a link to Egypt in order to be great. Screw Egypt and the horn of Africa, discover the history of your ACTUAL ancestors if you can! Africa has the most diverse bunch of native populations of any continent--compare pygmies to those villages that churn out sprinters every year.

  • @sokokokokoko

Also, the point of history is to not claim past efforts as your own efforts as an individual, silly. It is there to provide inspiration, it helps with identity formation, it is a source of encouragement, it provides you with a sense of belonging and a legacy, and it is their to learn from. You take what was good and apply it to the present situation and you examine what was bad and don't repeat it and find a better way.

  • Also: Africa provided the most important thing of all to humans, the perfect environment that allowed us to evolve into such competitive animals. The history books DO have a European bias (more like a Greece-Rome-France-England-USA bias), I'll be the first to admit it, but they're largely factual... well, at least the good ones. Race is not a biological thing, it's a fabrication that unfortunately we have to live with in society.

  • You may have a problem with that female "black indigo", but what she says is true. You should do your research on the damages from chemicals. U sound very confused or not clear on natural hair qualities. (not to mention our people have colored their hair in different ways w/out harmful chemicals). It sounds like u picking on that girl, Ive seen her video.'s too, & there no way near as bad as u make it. It appears that ur hatin, because being natural hurts ur moms profession, tell her do natural

  • What about cornrows? It involves twisting but my hair hasn't fell out, far from it.

  • @SQuiRR3LM0nk3y: U cant take him seriously, dont be fooled by accents & African pictures highlighted, hes like 22 , & has no idea of what hes talking about. What u do to ur self physically (such as face & hair), is pretty much a direct reflection of whats w/in. U are connecting to the mental as one. This includes linking to ur lineage. When other cultures see u w/African hair & features, they believe what they see. Just like they are confused or mistaken/fooled when women wear weaves or wigs.

  • One thing a lot of folks ain't taught is that there were a lot of African tribes that would capture other tribes and sell them to the white folks as slaves, same thing happened amongst the Native Americans. And believe it or not, white folks was the first slaves in America, slavery's been around for a looong time. And now, everybody here in America is a slave, no matter what your skin color is, even though it's the "freest country" we're still all slaves.

  • perms are unhealthy for your hair its very harsh for your hair. its your opinion stop bashing man i am african american myself and for you to get on youtube and rant and bash people is not cool.

  • @TheKenneyshow: Absolutly, I agree 100%.. For all those that need an example of hating, this is one. He dont have a real convincing reason to be against this sister. The only thing that is clear is that his mother does hair. But sad to say, if this is what hes learning from her, "shame on her & him" because they are doing our people an injustice by promoting the European foolishness & shooting down our realness. Its a pure "D" disgrace, teaching chemicals & fake crap over neutrality, for money.

  • @Thunderbult3000 thanks for agreeing with me this wasted his time ranting i not really big on the European look for sistas i think being natural should not be considered out of the norm.

  • @TheKenneyshow : No doubt, like I was saying, but typing kinda fast. Its a pure "D" disgrace, teaching to except artificial hair, chemicals & all that fake crap over naturality just to make more money. Fake will never measure up to the real. He should be encouraging that positive sister (and promoting her at that), because we have already seen to many negative people posting garbage and spreading foolishness...Daam, can the people that give and show love, recieve a little back some time...?

  • I don't get it why some people think their ancestors define them. I'm not my ancestors, I don't have to be like them. I'm from Finland, so "my people" have a unique culture, but I don't find any reason to hate Russian or Swedish people, or go to an other country and be like super-reprensitive of my country. So I don't get it why some African people need to feel discriminated and only do stuff that are "black", and never ever anything that's "white". Just be who you are not who your grandpa was.

  • @EliasJordan3

White privilege is speaking. You have the privilege to know the exact location of your ancestors, you are constantly told about the greatness of Europeans and what they have done, and take it as a given. No one has ever made claims against you for being of inferior racial stock b/c your ancestors were of inferior racial stock. If you find it ridiculous then be the first to criticize White people who practice racism against Black people b/c of what their ancestors were.

  • @EliasJordan3

Also, White people constantly let their ancestors define them all the time. It is called HISTORY--Western Civilization, European Civilization, and U.S. History, which by the way is mandatory in many U.S. educational institutions. White folks think they come from great stock, therefore, they continue to believe they are of great stock, and, therefore, act accordingly.

  • @everagej What? Are you saying white people should be ashamed of their ancestors or what?

  • WHITEE ' S PEOPLEE JEALOUS CUZ WE GOTTAA BLACK PRESIDENTT NDD WE MAKENN HISTORYY MMM MM MM .. . . I LOVE BEING HISPANIC ! (:

  • Afrocentrism: lies, junk and thievery.

  • most people are locking their hair and going natural not because of afrocentrism(actually most of them hate being calle african)! please do research on what afrocentrism is. don't mistake it with the new natural hair trend as these people don't even care about africa.. and who told you that locking hair makes it come out from the roots and never grows back??? i have seen people take their locks out and their hair is still healthy. i'm still glad more and more black women are going natural

  • Is your mother losing money? Tribe? When we were forced to come over here on the boats we were Africans. Now it's African-American, Trinidad, etc. Sounds like you need to do some research. Locs did not come from the Carribean. Everybody knows West Indian etc were slaves? What's your arguement? It's good for us to go to Africa and learn and explore. You have to start some where. Yes mistakes will be made, but it's all apart of the journey. You'e unhappy about something?

  • I am going to do a video between an educated black college graduate named Violet and a non-educated black afro-centrist who calls himself Gangsta arguing about race and afro-centrism.

Maybe you all out there could join me to make this video as accurate as possible.

  • Afrocentrism-just another hate group

  • Very smart man. Your reflection on the subject are very accurate and true from what I have been through.

  • Also, if folks don't properly do their locks, then yes they may end up with bald parts. BUT not all folks with locks end up bald or with bald patches. To say its not natural is a bit of a stretch. when someone says natural they mean to leave toxic chemicals off of the hair (relaxers, perms, certain hair colorants, most commercial shampoos/conditioners, most commercial hair styling gels and creams, etc). By the way, there are natural (non-toxic, from the earth) hair colorants. I use Henna.

  • You've never seen anyone loose their mind because of using relaxer (or putting any other toxic chemical on their skin for that matter)? People can certainly end up having health or mental issues later in life due to constantly introducing those chemicals to their bodies, by the time it affects them how could u (or ur mom) possibly know that relaxer had nothing to do with it? u need to learn about chemistry and biology, REALLY!

  • Many of u don't get it. if u put a nicotine patch on your arm, will the chemicals from it get into your system thru the skin? YES! So why do u think that the chemicals in relaxer doesn't get absorbed thru the skin? of course it doesn't go directly from scalp to brain, but if its in ur body, in ur bloodstream, where will it also end up? In every organ and muscle including the brain, just like nicotine. Brain damage? No. negative effect on the brain? Yes.

  • Oh my god this only goes to show that a moron can come out and say anything and try to convince people to believe the most ridiculous things!

  • I felt the need to find my roots, I'm not sure it helped ultimately but I needed to do it for that reason it was part of the journey, I was adopted so I felt lost or rootless for a while. I think alot of Black men are struggling with identity especially those in economically & socially disadvantaged areas. I too am hopeful. At this point I might add West Africans are my favourite people in the world. I love their DIGNITY HONESTY STRENGTH MUSIC & CULTURE, maybe i'm a little Afrocentric too :-)

  • thanks Eden2Gethsemane, interesting point about "African American" vs "American". It's such a charged subject its hard not to offend, My best friendhas married a dutch girl and is the son of a chief from a small Senegalese island that still has the irons and chains in the walls from slavery days. When asked where he is from he holds his head high and says AFRICA !!! period.Getting back to roots is part of our identity, I come from convicts a woman transported to Oz for stealing bread to eat.

  • This vid is so old...but if you respond:

Do you believe in Afrocentrism as a valid concept or does it seem inauthentic?

Being that you are of Caribbean decent, do you see or feel a concrete African American culture, or does this supposed culture seem too nebulous? Just curious on your thoughts.

  • @Eden2Gethsemane There is no such thing as Afrocentrism. What is being called Afrocentrism today is only lies with a splash of intellectual masturbation. The African diaspora is very diverse. The only thing we have in common is a history of being enslaved and colonialised.

There is no African American culture; there is only an American culture which includes people of African descent. Integration has taken its course and there is no difference between the different races of American citizens.

  • @TheDreamReborn Thanks for responding.

With Afrocentrism I often question it because of the diversity you speak of. So Afrocentrism can feel rather fragmented and contrived. What exactly is its foundation? However, a more African oriented representation in music, food, or etc is more appealing to me. And being African American it gets tough trying to develope some form of a cultural identity when part of it is imposed, and the African influence feels distant and hybridized.

  • @TheDreamReborn every damn race has been enslaved and colonized, blacks are still enslaving blacks to this very damn day, in fact the word slavery comes from Slavs of eastern europe, blacks dont have a monopoly on suffering.

  • @GiggleHz

However, what makes the experience different for Blacks in the U.S. and the Americas was that the economies were slave based and the level of inhumanity and brutality that had no rival during the time of the Atlantic Slave Trade. It amazes me how some people use kindergarten logic to justify wrongdoing--the "he or she did it, so why can't I or why are you calling me out?" It's time to take responsibility for one's actions and atone for wrongdoing.

  • @GiggleHz

Also, in the Americas--slavery was a permanent condition and you didn't find slaves being easily taken in as family and provided the opportunity to rise in prestige, wealth, and power as you did in other societies that had slaves. Blacks don't have the monopoly on suffering, but we suffered a great deal, and that should not be dismissed and disregarded and treated as a non-issue. Apology and atonement needs to happen.

  • The culture Black people have in America is tied to White people. In essence, they are the same ethnicity and should treat each other that way. I believe if such was realized, the racism in the United States would quickly, because even if you by blood not related (Such as Irish, English, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Greek, and Jewish people) but share a common nation together then it is hard to legitimize conflict. And if this nation extends to include the blacks, then racism would end.

  • @TheRadicalRyushin

The culture African Americans have in America is tied to African people first and foremost. It is actually a creole culture with various cultural elements that interplay with each other. In essence, we are not the same ethnicity, maybe you wish it to be. You go about your business being only American, I will go about my business being African American. Also, I don't believe in connection based on nationhood. We are all one b/c we come from the same source of life.

  • @TheRadicalRyushin People seem to have a bad habbit of using any excuse to make out there different from each other it's a shame we'er all so shallow.

  • Actually truth is there is no race difference amongst humans in general, except the pygmies and maybe the Khoisan, Papuans, and Australian Aborigines and the Paleo-Indians, because each is so distantly related to the main stock of humans.

White people are just light skin Asiatic people. 7,000 years ago, with the formation of the Sahara, White people had emerged largely due to the Sahara and its effect on the global environment.

  • It is strange how deserts work. The Great Indian desert, North light skin people, south Dark skin people, yet they are closely related.

Sahara. North, light skin people. South, Dark skin people. This reverses with the South African Desert, because it is south of the Equator. South Light skin, North Dark skin.

And even in China you see this with the Desert in East Turkistan. North, Light Skin Turks. South, Dark Skin Tibetans. And the Gobi Desert, light and dark skin Mongols.

  • The point is you cannot regard black people or white people to be their own separate races. You have to regard them to be one single HUGE race. Arabs, Somalis, West Africans, Bantu People, Berbers, Egyptians, Nubians, Europeans, Central Asians, East Asians, Southeast Asians, Indians, and Iranians are all one huge race.

Some geneticists have found difference in relation stemming from 40,000 to 200 years depending on which group to which group, between blacks and whites.

  • @TheRadicalRyushin you just listed off a bunch of different ethnic groups and nationalities and claimed them all to be separate races..

  • The biggest difference is the existence of Neanderthal genes, which only exist up to 4% of the less than 1% of genes that differ humans from each other. However, most Non-Sub-Saharan blacks consist of less than a percent of Neanderthal genes. But 4% is not significant, it entails perhaps a different sub-race or infra-race or parv-race (most likely) of human beings, but because of constant mixing, eventually those Neanderthal genes will enter West Africa, probably through Islam and Chad's Arabs.

  • Also when I say sub, infra, or parv, I am entailing taxonomy, not that since we are different sub-races, we are inferior. Rather that we are closely related enough to be of the same race, but diverge soon after or well after that. It is a depending circumstance. What I do know is that Sudanic people are not related as closely to West Africans as West Africans would like to believe. Which means even if Nubians founded Egypt, those Nubians could not be the same people as found in West Africa.

  • @TheRadicalRyushin

So what if they are not the same as West Africans. Sub-Saharan Africans are the most genetically diverse people on the planet. The point is that the Nubians were indigenous Africans, and that the Egyptian civilization was clearly an indigenous accomplishment, and not one produced by "more advanced non-African foreigners"--which is the lie.

  • Also note that the sub-infra-parv groupings of people do not diverge humans of skin variation.

Dravidians and Indo-Aryans are of the same parv-race (parv being the lowest sub grouping, below Infra and sub) and so do Nubians and other Sudanic people. The Sudanic-Neo-Borean parv-race does not diverge in difference of people by skin color as it contains people who a wide range from the extremely light Scandinavians to the extremely dark Dravidians and Nubians.

  • What makes the significant difference of race is longevity and growth cycles, which differs us from Pygmies who become adults at 13 and die around 27. When a Nigerian is 30, he is 30. When a German is 30, he is 30. Thus we are the same race.

It is significant, because most of genes are related to how you die than how you live. So this difference is substantial to differ us from pygmies and group us together as the same race. It is huge, because it would end racism.

  • @TheDreamReborn

What "lies" do you speak of? Afrocentrism is a direct result of Eurocentrism which seeks to destroy the roots of African/Hebrew culture. Afrocentrism exists and HAS to exist because what are a people who have no identity? It is impossible to mvoe forward without knowing who you are.

  • @ninjaspit: EXACTLY....

  • @TheDreamReborn Hmm... "intellectual masturbation" I must say, that's the first time I've ever heard of that lol.

  • @TheDreamReborn I disagree. African Americans do have our own subculture. Even White Americans have different subcultures within their own racial group. For example southern culture vs. northern culture, southern whites have their own culture that differs a lot from northern whites. Asian Americans and Latino Americans also have their own American cultures that differ from mainstream as well. Maybe because you're not American or born American you have a hard time realizing that.

  • @anticupid84 Did I say African Americans don't have their own culture? Hopefully I didn't because I agree with you that they do.

  • @TheDreamReborn

You did say we did not have our own culture. Re read your post. As an African American, we do have our own culture. Furthermore, despite our differences throughout the Diaspora, there is a shared cultural influence w/ variation.

  • @anticupid84 this is very true and you cant argue that black and white culture in the south could indeed be very different because of racism. Both black and white racism it creates a divide. how ever here in the north their isnt a difference at all here in the north We are just Americans and Black people just think of them selves as American none of that African-American crap. I mean for the most part of people that claim them selves as African Americans have nothing at all to do with Africa.

  • @Frowardkiller

You are very uninformed. African Americans have a culture that is different from White European Americans, just b/c the dominant culture decided to usurp much of our culture, doesn't mean it is non existent.

  • @everagej How am i uninformed? Did i ever say it is non existent? The black American peoples heritage is European. So why are they considered African American when more than half of their heritage is European? Or do you believe race should only go on color of skin and not what you really are.

  • I have West African friends and African American friends. One group scared from the the yolk of imperialism the other from slavery. Remember people Africa only got its boundaries from its collonizeres.Tribes had different boundaries from those on the map. Africans are dreaming to get to the US and Europe because they see the gangsta sports star reality and think the US is utopia. And you guys romanticising Africa where life for most is so hard. Irony yet hope :-)

  • @delishme Thats an interesting points how Africans in the diaspora and those from the main land have so many differences and similarities in relation to post-colonialism and our collective psychology. I just hope we can reconcile differences and get to know ourselves and history in a healthy, genuine, and complete manner.

  • Thanks for posting this vid man! I've been arguing with a female about Afrocentric bullshit! She buys all of the the crap. Alot of the shit coming from the Afrocentric movement is pure bullshit!

  • dreads have been on my family for a generations, and we are European, lol.

many other peoples, other than Sub Saharans wear dreads too.

  • LOGIC!!!! THANK YOU!!!!! LMAO!!!!

  • I agree with a large portion of what you say, but who can blame anyone who wants to get to the bottom of who they are. Some may go overboard in that quest but find a balance later on. It's true to say some African Americans know more about Africa and its history than Africans themselves, and Egypt is a case in point.

Egypt was wholly African and now its a mixed race of afro-euro-arabics through intermarriage and invasions. Some of those original Egyptians migrated further south the continent.

  • blk woman should go natrual becuase the weaves is not for them. they were born with kinky hair for a reason. there is no other race of women in the world with kinky hair like blk women. and blk women can stick out with wearing there hair natrual. and im not pro blk or saying they have to dress up and do the traditions that the africcans in africa do but the blk woman outside of africa need to go natrual because weaves do not look good on them in anyway shape or form!!

  • @Younginfamous4

Your not pro blk, then what are you pro white? How can you not be in favor of yourself?

  • damn niggers

  • SO IT HAD SOMEKIND OF EFFECT ON THEIR BIOLOGY TO WHAT EXTENT NOT SURE BUT NONE THE LESS ITS NOT NATURAL. and there is no such thing as a correct way to lock your hair there is a neat way to lock hair but to say natural hair implies that you allow your hair to grow the way its ment to be. how do you refute science??? are u a scientist??? NOT LIKELY.

  • Sodium hydroxide is frequently used in the process of decomposing roadkill dumped in landfills by animal disposal contractors.Sodium hydroxide has also been used by criminals to dispose of their victims' bodies" NOW GO ERASE THAT VID CAUSE DO THIS SHIT SOUND LIKE SOMETHING YOU PUT IN YOUR DAUGHTERS HEAD EVERY MONTH?? RESEARCH BROTHER RESEARCH!! AUTOPSY'S HAVE SHOWN THAT THIS COMPOUND HAS BEEN FOUND ON THE BRAINS OF DEAD AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN.

  • (IT DISINTEGRATES SHIT) EVEN OXYGEN!!! "This is a process that was used with farm animals at one time. This process involves the placing of a carcass into a sealed chamber, which then puts the carcass in a mixture of sodium hydroxide and water, which breaks chemical bonds keeping the body intact. This eventually turns the body into a coffee-like liquid, and the only solid that remains are bone hulls, which could be crushed between one's fingertips.

  • It is what is used in products that are referred to as "lye" relaxers. The strength varies from a pH factor of 10 to 14. With higher pH, the faster the straightening solution will take hold, but the more potential the damage." DUDE GOOGLE THIS! IT'S USED IN DRAIN CLEANERS AS WELL AS PAINT STRIPPERS, THE SAME WAY IT WILL BURN THE FLESH OFF YOUR SKIN WITH A PAINT STRIPPER OR A DRAIN CLEANER IT ALSO CAN CAUSE BURNS TO THE SCALP AND THUS CAUSE IRREVERSABLE SCALP DAMAGES.

  • DOESN'T AFFECT THE HUMAN BODY IN NO WAY IS NAIVE. *ANYTHING YOU PUT ON YOUR SKIN WILL AFFECT YOU BIOLOGICALY. MORE NOTABLE SODIUM HYDROIDE, "Sodium Hydroxide is the strongest type of principal chemical used in some chemical relaxers because it provides the most long lasting and dramatic effects. However, this same sodium hydroxide is found in drain cleaners which well demonstrates the strength of this chemical.

  • DUDE IM NOT HERE TO PUT U ON BLAST BUT JUST CUS YOUR MOM IS A HAIR STYLEIST DOES NOT MEAN SHE IS AN EXPERT IN CHEMISTRY OR A SCIENTIST OF ANY KIND! NOR R U FOR IF YOU WERE YOU CERTIANLY WOULD NOT HAVE MADE THOES COMMENTS. RELAXING YOUR HAIR IS BAD FOR ANYBODY LOOK UP TRANDERMIFACATION YOUR SKIN IS NOT BULLET PROOF ANY THING THAT COMES IN CONTACT WITH YOUR SKIN WILL ENTER YOUR BODY. ie BENGAY, ICY HOT ECT.. SO TO ASSUME THAT THE CHEMICAL COMPOUND THAT MAKES UP A RELAXER

  • There's no such thing as African American History (sarcasim)...only white history... everything is Europeanized in America, if we want to know true history like you said, we got to do our research....thank you for clarifying the foolishness but I will say there is nothing wrong with going natural or getting locs, im natural but the the reason why i do it is because I am embracing the texture God has given me...you don't see any other race trying to change their hair texture. so why do we?!?

  • u stick up 4 white people alot why r u hateing on black ppl do u even know what u r talking abt learn your history u racist peace of trash n last dreads r part of a culture bye bye hater

  • You are a very smart man, I whole-heartedly agree with this. I'm not Black or White, but I don't think it matters. I know what you are saying is true. I kind of disagree about the dreadlocks thing, ONLY because not all people who have dreadlocks are trying to be "Afrocentric." My boyfriend has them and I know he doesn't care about being Afrocentric, he just likes having long hair and thinks dreadlocks look nice. I agree! But you were right about everything else!

  • i guess this guy didnt watch good hair..21 is not old!

  • This is strange. Who doesn't know that those blacks living in the Caribbean are descendants of slaves forced to work on sugar plantations?

  • lol your relaxer comment is so true. The school systems dont teach much about Africa and Africans outside of slavery. i think thats because they do not know or possible we learn in school what society (white men) want us to. MLK and X are not the only ones they teach us, but they are the most popular. I too believe the Africentric thing is getting out of hand and when I was in college it was too much for me. Good Topic TheDreamReborn.

  • There's nothing wrong with Afrocentrism, I thought everyone came from Africa in the first place anyways...

  • high school in america really does not teach about africancentric cultures. you have to be willing to take and pay for those classes.

  • afrocentrism = robbing a liquor store and getting away with it

  • what sort of fool is this guy...?

  • Thank you for the enlighten me. I agree with you.
