This song is SOoooo 80s. Luv it !! From the decade when MTV and VH-1 and music videos RULED.... I could watch music videos for hours on end and never get bored. What a grand experiment for that time, combining music with segments of moving pictures. A super treat for ears AND eyes ~ ~
This entire first album of theirs with this song was brilliant. It was the kind you could play all the songs and not skip a one because they were all good. I liked that I knew who they were before they broke into the American market, however briefly. I used to listen to radio from Canada when I was growing up, so I loved a lot of their acts from the time.
I know eh! Glass Tiger = a fave! Alan Frew - the lead singer - is amazing! THey still do random concerts...and Alan is a best selling author in Canada and he also does motivational speaking! :)
Most certainly one of the totally awesome songs from the 80's! This takes me back to highschool days of sitting in Campus center with my friends at lunch with this song along with all the other awesome songs of the 80's playing over the speakers and just laughing and talking and singing along to these songs with my friends and feeling so carefree and alive the way a teen should feel. To feel pure happiness with no strings attached. Youth is a powerful thing. Oh how I miss those days! :-(
Love this song, it sure does bring back memories... I remember calling a local radio station that took dedications every night, from 8 to midnight, & had this song dedicated to the guy I had just broke up with. The jerk was my first love & we had been dating for over 2 yrs & I had found out that he had cheated on me :'( Years later I found out that he had gotten his "Someday".... turns out, it was really his heart that got broken instead of mine! Karma's a bitch lol !!!
HEY,i was in elementary school, when this song came out,in love for the first time, she broke my heart when she passed me into the next grade,MRS Dominic, that was a teacher, lol
@coastiekevink Those were the good old 80s. There won't ever be a decade of music like that again. All they make these days is mostly garbage. The 70s, 80s and 90s were the gold years for music. :)
@jeffster111made Because the song's not that bad... I mean, considering how bad some 80's music was. No, wait... it's really bad. Just not ear-splitting-get-me-out-of-this-decade bad. Unless you watch the video. And listen to the song. Ok, it plain sucks.
THAT was horrible. There are good 80's and then there are TERRIBLE 80's (Starship comes to mind) Glass Tiger takes the cake. Bad video, bad fashion, bad hair, bad choreography... I'm sure even gay men would look at the lead singer and go... man, that's just bad gay.
Very gay, lol. At times, I'm left wonder is the singer singing about the girl, or someone in his band, like that drummer they keep showing. The other video I saw was also kind of gay. I never seen a Glass Tiger video before and I grew up listening and liking them in the 80's. Good times.
@AsylumSaint Um...I said nothing about today's pop music. I happen to find it pretty unlistenable as well, but I'm not sure what you're responding to?
@drumrnva That's not what I meant to say. I mean instead of me (The replyer) flaming at you for not liking this band. I do not consider your comment flaming at all.

I'm not Canadian, but I acknowledge the superb quality of Canadian music; this tune take me back to those days in 1987, when it meant SO MUCH to me....and it still keeps giving me a spine thrill... oh, gosh...

@Roughwine Thumbs down. I'm glad to be an American. Who would want to be a bitter Canadian with an inferiority complex. Can't we just enjoy the music without all the
@Roughwine Yeah, being Canadian is so great. We live in a country where you can legally pay for sex, gamble $10,000 in one night at the government run Casino, buy hundreds of dollars worth of alcohol and tobacco, and even pay to have your pet provided with vetrinary services, BUT we can't pay a doctor for our own healthcare even when we are denied care in the public system by being put on a waiting list for an unreasonable amount of time. Yeah!!! I am so proud to be Canadian!!
@Roughwine At the very least, it would be nice if we could be given the same rights and opportunities that our pets have. I think my life is as valuable as any cat or dogs. And since our Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees life and security, isn't access to health care considers part of life and secuirty? And why does the Canada Healthcare Act state that the public healthcare system is to provide 'access' to healthcare when 17% of Canadians don't have a family doctor?
@Roughwine I can go to the U.S. and pay between $100 - $200 for a specialist consultation, yet in Canada, I have to wait between 4 - 9 months for an appointment. Why can worker's compensation (government program) buy priority access when I, as a private citizen, cannot? Why did our federal government commit $3 billion dollars of aid to African women's health recently, yet not direct that money to the provinces to help pay for healthcare.
@Roughwine If healthcare is free, why are there shortages? Why can't the government provide unlimited amounts of healthcare if, as people claim, it is free? If it does cost money and therefore is finite, and if the government can't provide adequate healthcare access to Canadians, don't they have a moral obligation to enable Canadians to pursue private options on their own within their own country?
@Roughwine Why is it that Canadian politicians like Belinda Stronach and Danny Williams refuse to support private care options in the Canadian marketplace, yet fly to the U.S. when they need fast and decent care? Yes, you should be so proud to be Canadian!!
