Yes as a kitri, I think zakharova falls short. She is stunning technically, her extensions are undeniably amazing but sometimes I feel that the extension takes away from the rest of the dancing. Sometimes. Also, I don't think Svetlana excels at fiery roles like kitri or black swan. She is too soft a dancer. However, she has a beautiful giselle and white swan.

It's FAR TOO fast. It distorts the variation and one gets almost stressed by watching her doing all of that that fast. Being fast doesnt necessarily mean to be good or virtous and I think this is the case. Plus, having seen Paloma Herrera as Kitri makes it almost impossible for me to like any other dancer in this role.

It was so fast that she looked disturbingly off the music -- like the soundtrack of the video was faulty or something. Can't question her virtuosity, but either she or the videographer needs to slow down. Or maybe it's just the conductor.

im sorry but osipova is miles and miles better than paloma, even if in this version she is slightly ahead of the music. nonetheless paloma has incorrect arms and heads and movement dynamic- osipova is a much cleaner dancer and better portrays the spirit of kitri.

she's got so much power! she's an absolutely flawless kitri. I can't really see her as an odette or giselle or a more delicate role, but that's not really a problem for me. I think every ballerina has their part which they really shine at, and hers is, clearly, this one. And she's so young too! I look forward to watching her career blossom.

You know... where as MANY people think her feet would be killing here... if you dance as long as she's probably been dancing, it becomes so natural that when somebody tells you to do a triple pirouette or a grande jete, you're able to do it without a second thought.

Oh, well for that you should look at City Ballet, but if you want to see dancing, and acting combined with bravura, Osiopova is good. Dancing is not about technique, it's about how you feel when you leave the theater. After I leave city ballet, I want to yawn.
