you've probably had one of the cheap and nasty 3900's that were made in china by some peasant that was paid a cup of rice a week for his/her labours. my 3900 was made by ranger in malaysia and is just as good as my 148 for both bleedover and drift an absolutly stunning radio on both rx&tx.

I have to agree with you on this. It's been a long time since I got rid of the second and last one. I learned that over the years these radio's were 'adopted' by Ranger and upgraded dramatically. They indeed seem to perform very well lately thanks to Ranger!

Personally this particular radio is CB sentiment to me and this day I own a Ranger 2950DX which performs really well...

No probs, don't get me wrong at the end of the day they're only a cb radio, but so was the cobra 148 and the new 3900s built by ranger with the EPT3600 PCB is an exact replica of the uniden PB010AB PCB but ranger have actually upgraded a lot of the components. have a look at cb dx event on this website that's a ranger 3900. all the best.

i think the superstar3900 is a good radio to have it cheap and easy to work a good first time radio to have wrexham

I wouldn't advice keeping that bubble wrap on your radio. It will act like a blanket for the heat.
